What if, instead of Laverne and Shirley, J.R. and Sue Ellen, and Benson and Stabler, it had been Laverne and Stabler, J.R. and Shirley, and Benson and Sue Ellen? Wouldn’t that have been awesome? In this week’s Grey’s Anatomy, Richard seemed to think so, so he shook up all of Grey Sloan by switching the resident/attending pairings. The result? Read on…

Whitney Episode 7: “Sorry!”
Written by: Whitney Cummings & Linda Wallem
Directed by: Andy Ackerman
Original Airdate: 30 January 2013 on NBC
After a short season break, this week we saw the charmingly dysfunctional Whitney back on our screens. For those of you who haven’t seen the show, picture a grown up 2 Broke Girls (which Whitney Cummings co-created) that focuses on relationships.
Over the first season we’ve learned the history, quirks and problems of Whitney and Alex’s problems and have been introduced to their friendship circle and other characters such as Whitney’s mother. The driving force of the show was the fact they were this dysfunctional, unmarried couple. With them finally getting married (kind of) at the end of the first season, the quality of season two was uncertain and it was hard to see where they could go with it. Seven episodes into the second season and they are still enjoyable to watch.

Actors are trained to be able to portray just about anything their role calls for, but there's one thing even the best actors can't possibly fake: Singing.
That's why we're always so impressed when actors sing on screen rather than just lip-synch some professional musician. Case in point: Next week's "Pitch Perfect," which features stars such as Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson belting out tunes like the divas they were meant to be.
In honor of that achievement, then, we've put together our list of the 25 Best Music Performances in Movie History. Because you may be able to fool the eye, but the ears never lie.
25. Lindsay Lohan in 'Mean Girls'
Just try and imagine how differently LiLo might be thought of today if she had retired after the 2004 hit "Mean Girls." After all, she was both charming and on key while leading the crowd in an impromptu...

NBC’s primetime telecast had something for everyone Friday night: Joy and pain at the track (both running and BMX), the network’s two best trips down memory lane (with the 1992 Dream Team and the first charming man to run under a four-minute mile), male 10m platform divers with and without body hair, and a Downton Abbey shout-out in a Mary Carillo segment on castles and coats of arms. (Why didn’t they choose a funnier sound bite from the Dowager Countess?) Let’s dig in.

It’s gotta be the yams, right? Once again, Usain Bolt established himself as the Fastest Man in the World. Oh wait, that wasn’t all? He broke an Olympic Record (his own, of course) and rocked a gold-medal repeat for the first time since Carl Lewis in 1988? Yeah he did.
I’ll be the first (or millionth) to say it: Usain Bolt is a ridiculous person. He is confident well past the point of arrogance. When his name was called at the finals, he mimicked a DJ spinning turntables, made dubious hand motions (I’m assuming they were meant to evoke running legs,...

What is more romantic than roller coasters, screaming children and mouse ears? If you're Ryan Gosling, the answer is nothing.
The 30-year-old actor was spotted holding hands and kissing his "The Place Beyond the Pines" co-star Eva Mendes at Disneyland in Anaheim, California over the Labor Day weekend. The two looked cozy, going on rides and eating cotton candy, but we're betting this is all part of Gosling's plan to make the ladies really swoon.
As The Daily reports this isn't the first time the actor has brought a date to Disneyland. Last year Gosling took "Gossip Girl" actress Blake Liviely to Disneyland's Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, and in 2009 the actor spent a day at the theme park with "2 Broke Girls" star Kat Dennings.
Gosling has spoken about his fondness for the 'House of Mouse' before.
In August he told Esquire that he "went through puberty in a theme park,...

With the romantic comedy One Day out now in cinemas, we chat to novelist and screenwriter David Nicholls about the film, Hollywood rom-coms and more…
If you’ve spotted people reading in public over the last couple of years, chances are the book in their hands had an orange and white cover and bore the words One Day and David Nicholls. You could say the success of Nicholls’ third novel has been incredible, but if you’ve read it, you’ll know just how credible its popularity is.
One Day is about friendship, anxieties, love and growing up, run though with a sense of humour and a thread of social satire. Set over a period of twenty years, the novel drops into its characters’ lives for one day a year between the late-80s and mid-noughties, charting a relationship against a backdrop of wry, whip-smart observations.

November is here, and you probably know what that means for television: Sweeps! It’s that bountiful time of the TV season when the networks try to ramp up viewership as much as possible so they can set their advertising prices for the year. All of which means means we’ll see crazy guest stars! Specials! Awards shows! Big interviews! For example, Cher is going on 20/20 to talk Burlesque Nov. 19; ABC is airing the Country Music Awards on Nov. 10; Oprah will sit down with the Jackson clan on Nov. 8; and Gwyneth Paltrow, well, she’s appearing on both the CMAs on Nov.
