The 1996 film Foxfire was based on a novel by best-selling author Joyce Carol Oates. Though the film had no outright lesbian content, it was very much about the relationships between the young women, and their love for one another surpassed friendship, bringing them to a point of commitment secured by tattoos and general bad-assery. Bonded by their rebelling against a predatory teacher, they found one another to be a safe haven from the judgmental high school halls.
So whatever happened to those girls who ran with foxes?
Hedy Burress (Maddy, the photographer who hates her teacher)
Since Foxfire, Hedy has largely worked in television, notably in her roles as Joanie Moore on ER and as Laurie Cooper on Southland. She also does a lot of voiceover work for video games, including Final Fantasy and Terminator Salvation.
Angelina Jolie (Legs, the drifter with an attitude)
Besides being the world's overwhelming choice...

Today's tween and teen audiences know him best as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, the genteel patriarch of a benevolent vampire family in the Twilight Saga and foster father to the brooding Edward Cullen. But long before playing the good doctor, even prior to his turn as a conceited jock in Can't Hardly Wait, Peter Facinelli made a whole different generation of youngsters swoon in another tale about girls and their high school dramarama.
We meet Peter Facinelli butt-first in 1996's Foxfire, naked save for a pair of boots. He poses, nude, in foliage. He runs, in slo-mo, through a stream to the sounds of Canadian rockers Wild Strawberries. He cavorts in the hottest teen styles of the '90s as Ethan, the "great" boyfriend of rollerblading protagonist Maddy Wirtz (Hedy Burress). Facinelli's Ethan may not have been the main attraction in this grrl power drama, but he sure made for a nice side dish.

So, the rumor on The Internets is that Jennifer Aniston will guest star as yet another lesbian on her former Friends co-star Courteney Cox’s new show, Cougar Town. Now, this rumor sounds kind of just like that — a rumor. But on the off chance that it, in fact, turns out to be true, then I would like to introduce Ms. Aniston to the Lesbian Rule of Threes.
What is the Lesbian Rule of Threes, you ask? Well, it’s definitely not something I just made up. Instead it’s a theory proven by research, reconnaissance and the repeated use of the rewind button. Let me elaborate: The Lesbian Rule of Threes states that any actress who plays a lesbian or bisexual and/or kisses another woman three times on screen in three different projects is officially an Honorary Lesbian.
Need proof? Well, there’s Angelina Jolie. Her three: with Elizabeth Mitchell in Gia,...
