The October 2 episode of Chicago Med featured a pregnant patient who must have looked familiar to daytime fans. Days of Our Lives viewers who are also fans of the Chicago One franchise probably spotted Marci Miller. The actress played a character with physical and mental health issues.

Marci Miller (ex-Abigail Dimera) must have channeled her Days character for this primetime role. It all started when emergency room doctors at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center tended to her injuries after she fell down the stairs.

However, as Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) attempted to treat her, it was apparent that the pregnant woman had more issues that were not exactly physical. As a result, Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt), the hospital’s resident psychiatrist, had to be called in to assess her.

Human Discoveries, an animated comedy series offering for the burgeoning lineup of Facebook Watch, will manifest on the streaming platform as a Yabba-Dabba-Doo-less look at modern idiosyncrasies through a prehistoric lens, headlined by main voice actors Zac Efron and Anna Kendrick.

Set at the dawn of human civilization, the series focuses on a group of friends who are the first to discover key concepts such as fire and the wheel. The social network’s episodic video hub continues to build out its original programming arsenal with top Hollywood celebrities -- including Sofia Vergara and Jessica Biel -- after confirming that it reaches 400 million monthly viewers and 75 million daily users globally.

Jack the Reaper is another film from American World Pictures, which was previously titled One-by-One: Death's Door (Dread). The film stars the prolific actor Tony Todd (Hatchet II), Sally Kirkland (Bruce Almighty), and Douglas Tait (Freddy vs. Jason), in a real coming of age film. Instead of getting their first razor, several teenagers learn about the industrial revolution the hard way, by sharp axe and disfigured monster. The first trailer for Jack the Reaper was released last week and the clip is reposted here, for those who missed it.

Bruno was granted a temporary restraining order and is due back in court later this month in a bid to make the injunction permanent.

The Cell 2 is an infuriating movie, insulting your intelligence as it frolics gleefully in its own stupidity. This is exacerbated by the fact that it poses as a sequel to the Tarsem Singh original, a generally derided film that developed something of a cult following, with this reviewer among the ranks. This film is barely able to qualify as a follow-up as it shares few actual similarities and completely ignores the rules that the original played by.
