- Katie Boyum started her film career at eleven years old as a stunt performer on the TV series "Werewolf." Immersed in the Arts, she grew up traveling the world on her Father's film and television sets and spending time in her Mother's photography Studio. While working as a stunt driver on the set of "Mighty Ducks 2" she saw her first Steadicam. She knew that all her training in ballet, martial arts and photography had led to that moment. Katie was destined to dance with a camera. She attended Loyola Marymount University as a Film major with a minor in Studio Art/Photography. During her 1st summer vacation she worked as a Camera Intern on "Jingle All The Way". Before her graduation she became a member of IATSE local 600 and had taken Garrett Brown's Steadicam Workshop. Katie continued to work as a camera assistant until an opportunity came in 2003 on "La Femme Musketeer," where she began her journey as a Camera/Steadicam Operator." Katie has been a Camera operator for over 12 years on major motion pictures, television programs, Music Videos and Commercials. From this background she took steps to further herself as a filmmaker by learning to edit the projects she filmed. This led to a partnership with Jeff Murphy, a professional editor with whom she founded their production company called Quest Pacifica. A recent two-year venture with Majesco Entertainment has found Katie directing and producing commercials, documentaries and video games.
