It’s almost time for a new episode of NCIS: Origins.

The new NCIS prequel show has been on hiatus since early February, frustrating fans who enjoy weekly episodes.

The good news is that the hiatus is nearly over, so new episodes are on the horizon.

Some bad news is also in the mix. Since we only get 18 first-season episodes, we are inching closer to the NCIS: Origins season finale.

But at least we can start looking forward to new content, with the added promise that some new folks joined the show.

During an upcoming NCIS: Origins episode, Lauren Bowles plays the wife to her real-life husband, Patrick Fischler. Patrick plays Special Agent in Charge Cliff Wheeler. That could be fun.

When is NCIS: Origins Season 1, Episode 14 on CBS?

The next new episode of NCIS: Origins debuts on Monday, March 24 at 10/9c.

The new installment — To Have and To Hold...

One of the nice things about being on a long-running series is that sometimes you get the chance to have friends and family members make cameos. Just look at "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," where all of the gang's spouses have had major cameos and some of their children have even gotten in on the fun. On the hit NBC series "Seinfeld," which helped pave the way for "It's Always Sunny," the cast had a chance to get their loved ones involved on more than one occasion. Close friends and family members made appearances throughout the series, but one of the most important for star Jason Alexander, who played the nebbish George Costanza, came in the show's most controversial episode.

It turns out that while several of Alexander's loved ones had gotten a chance to appear on the series, his wife, painter Daena Title, didn't have a cameo until the series finale,...

The NCIS: Origins cast has added another fresh face for the inagural season.

Thus far, 13 episodes of NCIS: Origins have debuted, including the episode Monsoon from February 10.

Only 18 episodes were ordered by CBS, which also shows how close we are to the NCIS: Origins season finale.

Will we get NCIS: Origins Season 2? That has yet to be revealed by the CBS brass.

We can enjoy the ride for now and look forward to the final five episodes of Season 1.

Based on the episodes that have already been released, the writers have many more ideas on how to tell backstories for Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs and his co-workers.

The NCIS: Origins cast adds actress Lauren Bowles

True Blood star Lauren Bowles has joined the NCIS: Origins cast.

Lauren played Holly Cleary on the hit HBO show True Blood.

Holly was a Wiccan in the supernatural drama. She worked at Bellefleur’s Bar and Grill.

The idea seemed “simple” enough. An episode of NCIS: Sydney in which DeShawn and Evie (played by Sean Sagar and Tuuli Narkle) go undercover at a pirate-themed wedding aboard the James Craig — a 19th-century sailing ship-turned-tour boat — to draw out a killer.

But showrunner and Sydney native Morgan O’Neill wanted to kick things up a notch.

Still in its first season,NCIS: Origins has expanded its cast list to include a wife to Patrick Fischler’s character, head of Nis's Pendleton Office, Special Agent in Charge Cliff Wheeler. Per TVLine, Lauren Bowles, Fischler’s real-life wife, will portray the new character in an upcoming episode of the procedural. Bowles is well-known for starring as a Wiccan, Holly Cleary, in the vampire TV series True Blood, which aired from September 2008 to August 2014.

In honor of Valentine’s Day, Elsbeth is staging a strange but delightful meet-cute between its titular character and guest star Ioan Gruffudd in this Thursday’s episode (CBS, 10/9c).

The Forever vet plays Angus, a musician in Scotland who is witness to a crime via a video installation that connects his tiny town with New York City… and Elsbeth. Though NBC’s The Hunting Party has only aired two episodes thus far, filming for the 10-episode freshman thriller wrapped back in November — meaning that Melissa Roxburgh is ready, willing and able to reprise her role as Tracker‘s Dory, kid sister of Justin Hartley’s titular Colter on the CBS drama.

Roxburgh guest-starred in Tracker‘s 11th episode, which aired last May — one week ahead of Supernatural vet Jensen Ackles’ own debut as Colter and Dory’s brother, Russell. Though Ackles managed to reprise his role early this season (before becoming very, very busy), Roxburgh has yet to put in an encore as Dory.

The hit Netflix rom-com has promoted Jackie Tohn, who plays Esther Roklov, to series regular for Season 2, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Up until recently I worked the night shift in a hotel, so I know how creepy it can feel at times, especially when you’re getting used to the place with all of the building’s odd little noises and quirks. That’s the position Gwen finds herself in.

Recently moved into the area and in need of money, she’s answered an ad for a temporary overnight position at the All Tucked Inn. The owner Teddy, who seems to be making his story up as he goes along, tells her the woman who regularly does the job has been sidelined with medical issues. He’d love to stay and help, but he has a date. But there’s nothing to worry about, this is a quiet, peaceful place where nothing ever happens.

Although Phoebe Tonkin was in the 2012 shark thriller Bait and the high profile 2022 flop Babylon, most viewers probably know her from her work in television: she has been on multiple episodes H2O: Just Add Water, Home and Away, The Secret Circle, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Westworld, Safe Harbour, and more. I just finished watching a Netflix series she was in, Boy Swallows Universe, which I thought was pretty great. True Blood is not returning on HBO.

Despite a new series set in the Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer series universe, the premium cabler has put a stake in those plans.

Casey Bloys, CEO of HBO and HBO Max, revealed as much in a new interview with Variety.

Bloys said that despite a few scripts, "nothing felt like it got there," and the series is no longer in the works.

Returning to the universe would be a tough sell because the 2014 series finale didn't exactly go out on the best of terms.

It was a near-unanimously terrible final episode that disregarded the components of the series that made it successful for seven seasons.

Based on Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire Mysteries novels, the original series focused on telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who encounters a strange new supernatural world when she meets the mysterious Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), a southern Louisiana gentleman and vampire.

HBO is no longer eyeing a return trip to Bon Temps.

Casey Bloys, CEO of HBO and HBO Max, confirms to our sister pub Variety that a reboot of True Blood — which had been in development at the premium cabler — is dead because “nothing… felt like it got there.”

Exclusive: True Blood is the latest high-end drama series to get its own rewatch podcast series.

Kristin Bauer, who played vampire Pam De Beaufort, and Deborah Ann Woll, who played vampire Jessica Hamby, will host Truest Blood, which is produced by Safe Haven Productions, the company run by True Blood co-star Janina Gavankar.

The audio series will launch on HBO Max, which recently moved into podcasts, as well as on other podcast platforms.

The move comes as a reboot of the blood-slurping series is in the works at HBO with Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and NOS4A2 creator Jami O’Brien will co-writing.

Although there's been talk around town about a potential reboot of HBO's True Blood, there's been a lot of skepticism since the network never addressed the rumors.

In a new interview with TV Line, HBO boss Casey Bloys has confirmed the project is very much in the works, but it is still in the very early stages of development.

“There’s no green light imminent on that,” he told the outlet.

“I wouldn’t say it’s as far along as, say, the Game of Thrones [spinoff House of Dragon]. We definitely have a writer working on an idea for sure, but I think that it’s fair to say it’s not quite as far along as people think. It’s [not] coming on the air next year. It’s a long way away from that.”

It looks like fans will be returning to Bon Temps in the near future, but don't expect Anna Paquin to be a part of the rumored reboot.

The actress, who starred as Sookie Stackhouse on all seven seasons, broke her silence about the project on Twitter, and it's quite surprising.

"Well, this is the first I'm hearing about this," she wrote via Twitter after a flurry of users asked her about her thoughts on the project.

The actress later clarified that she's not mad about HBO's reported reboot.

"Not mad, just answering the question that has inundated my feed," the beloved actress responded.

Paquin is not the only person associated with True Blood to claim they have no clue about the project.

TV Line is reporting that a reboot of the series is in the works, but it will be a complete overhaul of the original concept.

Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre is attached to shepherd the project, while the original series creator, Alan Ball, is reportedly in line to return as an exec producer.

True Blood was a roaring success story for HBO, but it went out with one of the most divisive final seasons in the history of TV.

But this is the age of the reboot, and any semi-popular franchise of the last couple of decades is fair game to be brought back in some capacity.

Ball was with True Blood as showrunner for its first five seasons and had little input in the final two, arguably the worst seasons of the series.

Vampires are coming back to HBO. A reboot of “True Blood” is in early development at the network from “Riverdale” and “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

Alan Ball, who created the original series and served as showrunner for the first five seasons, will return to executive produce. Aguirre-Sacasa will co-write the pilot with Jami O’Brien.

HBO declined to comment.

Los Angeles-based Premiere Entertainment Group (Peg) leaves for Cannes with two female-led thrillers from Howard Barish’s Kandoo Films.

Peg has acquired international rights to Hospitality (pictured) starring Emmanuelle Chriqui and Broken Star with Analeigh Tipton as the leads.

Chriqui plays a mother with a checkered past in Hospitality; a mother who must protect her son when an ex-con (Sam Trammell) checks into her isolated bed and breakfast searching for money he stashed on her property years ago.

“Broken Star” is a thriller interested in voyeurism, the camera’s affect on both subject and photographer, and the tangled relationship between art and artist, fiction and reality. What it’s not, however, is capable of processing those ideas in a manner that might be compelling, much less thrilling. The story of a starlet under house arrest who forms an unhealthy bond with her landlord, it’s a low-rent effort that’s equal parts tawdry and tedious, although more problematic for its theatrical and on-demand fortunes is the fact that, from start to finish, it makes little lucid sense.

Exclusive: Gravitas Ventures has acquired the feature thriller Broken Star which stars Analeigh Tipton for theatrical release this summer. Broken Star is the first film from Kandoo’s new feature film slate aimed at discovering emerging talent. Founder Howard Barish, recipient of the 2017 BAFTA and Emmy Award for Best Documentary 13th, directed by Ava Duvernay, is fully financing and producing Kandoo’s six to eight productions.

Gravitas has pegged July 20th to release Broken Star in both theaters and VOD. Foreign sales are going to be handled at Cannes by Red Sea Media.
