In film footage about the Soviet Union putting down the Hungarian
revolt in 1956, there is a famous scene of a demolished building on top
of which rests a piano. That was the building Boritt grew up in.
In 1996, winner of the inaugural Award of Achievement given annually by
the Lincoln Forum. In 1998 it was renamed the Richard Nelson Current
Award of Achievement.
