Warner Bros. Discovery has announced the movies, TV shows, and live sports that will be available on the Max streaming service in April. The Max April 2025 lineup includes new seasons of HBO Original series The Last of Us and The Rehearsal, as well as the Max Original comedy series Hacks.

The schedule also includes the HBO Original comedy special Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night of Your Life, the A24 films Babygirl and Y2K, and more.

Hacks is back — and earlier than ever before. Season 4 of the Emmy-winning comedy will premiere with two episodes on April 10 at 9 p.m. Et/Pt, Max announced Tuesday, along with a trailer.

The rest of the 10-episode season will roll out with a single episode on Thursdays for four weeks, then Episodes 7 and 8 on May 15, Episode 9 on May 22, and the season finale on May 29 — right before the May 31 Emmy eligibility deadline. That's a tweak from previous seasons when the show would debut in May and air double episodes every week.

Season 4 will pick up in the aftermath of Ava (Hannah Einbinder) blackmailing Deborah (Jean Smart) to get the head writer job at the latter's new late-night show in the Season 3 finale. Max has released the trailer and key art for the fourth season of “Hacks,” which debuts with a dual episode premiere on April 10 at 6 p.m. Pt.

The official logline for Season 4 reads, “Tensions rise as Deborah (Jean Smart) and Ava (Hannah Einbinder) endeavor to get their late-night show off the ground and make history doing it.”

In the trailer, we see Deborah and Ava walk out of a conference room, tensions boiling between them. “Well, aren’t you a big brave girl?” Deborah sneers. “I guess I am. It’s for the best,” Ava quips back. Deborah looks Ava directly in the eyes before calmly responding, “We’ll see.”

In order to make the full season Emmy-eligible, Hacks will have a somewhat odd release schedule: Two episodes will stream on April 10, followed by one a week for four weeks afterward. “Hacks” Season 4 is picking up right where Season 3 left off: with Deborah and Ava on the edge of war. The latest installment of the Emmy-winning Max original comedy will premiere with its first two episodes on April 10.

“Well aren’t you a big, brave girl,” Deborah (Jean Smart) menacingly says in the new trailer out Tuesday, rounding on her prodigy.

“I guess I am,” Ava (Hannah Einbinder) replies. “It’s for the best.”

The clip then cuts between several high-energy scenes, from Deborah dancing in a club to both Deborah and Ava driving literal race cars. Kaitlin Olson’s very pregnant DJ can even be seen briefly weightlifting.

Little is known about the roles five of these guest stars will be playing. A mark of an unforgettable horror movie is either its impeccable quality, or its historic infamy. A horror movie could be immortalized as a genre classic either because it's a highly influential trendsetter, or because it's one of the worst things ever made. Horror movies that are just good, on the other hand, tend to be forgotten.

That's not to say that these particular horror movies were never good to begin with. On a rewatch, these horror movies could be seen as underrated or even great. Prime Video’s new thriller series Wilderness is already making a splash by having a truly great bop as its theme tune in Taylor Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do’, but there’s much more to enjoy here than that. The raunchy show follows a young writer called Liv, whose dream life with her handsome and wealthy husband falls apart when they move stateside and she catches him cheating on her. Their “make or break” dream holiday is set to crumble into a nightmare, albeit a scenic one, when Liv sets out to get her revenge.

The opening shot of Amazon’s Wilderness features a disproportionately huge spider — probably, for thematic reasons, a black widow, but I’m not an arachnologist — tentatively starting across a stretch of asphalt leading out to a picturesque Southwestern vista.

So why did the black widow cross the road?

We’ll never know, because within two seconds, the spider is squished — don’t worry, representatives of People for the Ethical Treatment of Spiders, it’s clearly CG — by the powder-blue vintage Ford Mustang carrying Liv (Jenna Coleman) and Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen).

Reader, I laughed. Hard. At least half of why I chose to review this six-episode adaptation of B.E. Jones’ novel is because the opening five seconds portended something appealing pulpy and silly, perhaps in a good way.

Wilderness never gets as good as it could have been. The British-American thriller series was created by Marnie Dickens and is based on the book of the same name by B.E. It’s no accident that Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” plays over the opening credits of Prime Video’s new limited series Wilderness. The song, which appears in its rerecorded version, came at the suggestion of writer-producer Marnie Dickens, who felt that the vengeful lyrics mirrored the show’s storyline perfectly.

“Marnie wrote that song into the script for Episode Two, but then Prime asked Marnie if there was a young female artist she wanted [over the credits],” recalls So Yong Kim, who directed all six episodes. “Of course she said Taylor Swift.

The trailer for Prime Video’s Wilderness asks how far is too far to go for revenge. The trailer then seems to answer that question with scenes of a wife imagining ways to kill her cheating husband.

Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) stars as Liv, the wife with murderous thoughts, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House) is her philandering husband, Will, in the six-episode drama premiering on September 15, 2023.

The judge overseeing Danny Masterson’s criminal case handed the actor the maximum allowable sentence, resisting calls from nearly 50 of his family, friends and colleagues to allow him to serve his prison term concurrently rather than consecutively.

Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Kurtwood Smith, Debra Jo Rupp and David Trainer — all of whom worked alongside Masterson in That ’70s Show — wrote to the court as character references urging Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo to offer Masterson leniency in letters dated between July and August, after he was convicted in May. They mostly touted his commitment to discouraging the use of drugs.

Masterson on Thursday was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison. Though she had the choice to restrict his sentence to 15 years to life, Olmedo declined to do so.

Wilderness now has a premiere date. Prime Video has announced that the revenge thriller will arrive on the streaming service later this month with the release of a trailer.

Prime Video on Tuesday debuted the full-length trailer for its psychological thriller Wilderness, and something tells us it's the perfect show for when the nights grow colder.

Premiering with all six episodes on September 15, 2023, Wilderness tells the story of a woman who learns about her husband's infidelity and the lengths she goes to to get revenge.

Swifties are getting a taste of Taylor Swift’s first re-released track off her 2017 album, Reputation.

On Wednesday, “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” was revealed as the song for the opening titles of Prime Video’s new original series, “Wilderness”. The re-recorded Reputation track makes its debut in the series teaser released today.

Taylor’s Version of “Look What You Made Me Do” is finally available to fans, at least in part. The rerecord of Taylor Swift’s chart-topping song from her 2017 album “Reputation” has made its official debut as part of the first teaser for Prime Video’s upcoming drama, “Wilderness.”

At a little less than a minute and a half, the teaser doesn’t showcase the full song.
