- Georg Asagaroff was born on August 25, 1892 in Moscow, Russia. He was a director and actor, known for Das Donkosakenlied (1930), Kulisy ekrana (1917) and Grekh (1916). He died on November 2, 1957 in Munich, West Germany.
- Georg Asagaroff also shot some movies in the sound film era of the 30s.
- When the National Socialists seized the power Georg Asagaroff was banned from working and his film career came to an end.
- With the outbreak of the October revolution his film career came to an end in Russia. He went to Germany where he was able to continue his film career in the 20s.
- His son Grischa Asagaroff became a well-known opera director.
- He made first experiences as an actor at the theater before he made his film debut in 1915. He was also able to gain a foothold as a movie director and his first movie he realised was "Grekh" (1916). It followed the Russian silent movie "Kulisy ekrana" (1917).
