Kai Caster played Dirk Bennett on ten episodes of the Prime Video series The Baxters, showed up in a season 3 episode of Magnum P.I. and a season 8 episode of American Horror Story, and – after playing Young Kayce in a season 2 episode of Yellowstone – was cast to play the character Rowdy in five episodes of the fifth season. Now, Deadline reports that Caster has landed a guest role in Prime Video’s Marvel-inspired series Spider-Noir and has also secured a leading role in the horror comedy Halloween Store.

I’m really looking forward to Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Noir, and one actor on the series has teased that it could double down on the film noir aspect. While speaking with ComingSoon.net, Lukas Haas said Spider-Noir could be released in black-and-white. I’d be into that.
“We filmed it in — I think it may come out in both black and white and color, but when we filmed it, the monitors were all black and white, so you got this feeling and it looked very, very authentic,” Haas said. “To the point that I would actually go and look at the monitor and think I was looking at some older footage, but it was actually just a monitor of what was on the camera at the time. They did a beautiful job with the filters and all that stuff, making it look like genuine old 1930s, black and white film.

Spider-Noir remains in production and, if the set photos we've seen are any indication, the web-slinger's first TV series will put a unique new spin on Spider-Man.
Screen icon Nicolas Cage plays Ben Reilly, a private eye who moonlights as a superhero. We've seen him swinging into action on set, suggesting the series will be very much in line with the comics, even though those featured Peter Parker under the mask. Why Spider-Noir is named after his clone hasn't been made clear.
Lukas Haas has landed a mystery role in the show and, during a recent interview with Coming Soon, suggested the series could be released in black and white as well as colour.
"It was just an incredible project," he told the site. "Everybody involved was amazing. Brendan Gleason, he plays my boss. Just getting to, to do that noir thing. It was very genuine film noir, the way they filmed it,...

Warning: Contains spoilers for All-New Venom #4!
As Marvel Comics built up the mystery of Venom's new host, many fans thought the answer was pretty obvious, but a bombshell reveal in the latest issue just totally debunked the primary suspect. At the beginning of the symbiote hero’s new series, Marvel teased four existing characters that could have been turned into the publisher’s latest Venom, and one of the most supposedly likely options is officially off the list.
In the final moments of All-New Venom #4 – written by Al Ewing, with art by Carlos Gómez – former Hulk sidekick Rick Jones officially proves that he’s not Venom’s new host, finally showing up in the same place at the same time. Instead, Jones is revealed to have taken on the identity of a different symbiote-powered hero.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-ManSeason 1 has officially come to an end on Disney+. The new animated series takes place in an alternate reality to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where Peter Parker is trained by Norman Osborn rather than Tony Stark. This off-kilter depiction of Spider-Man's origin story changes the trajectory of his life as he continues to develop his superpowers in a city increasingly overrun with villains.
The first season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man features plenty of iconic supervillains from Marvel Comics, including Doctor Octopus, Scorpion, the Rhino, and more. However, there are still plenty of other members of Spider-Man's Rogues Gallery who have yet to make their debut in the animated series. When Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 finally premieres, these are the villains we'd love to see show up.

Longlegs star Nicolas Cage voiced the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man Noir in the animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and we’re going to have the chance to watch him play the character in live-action in the upcoming MGM+ and Prime Video series that’s going by the title Spider-Noir. That show is currently in production, and today, Deadline revealed that the recurring cast includes Amy Aquino (Bosch) and Andrew Robinson (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)!
I’m especially excited to hear that Andrew Robinson is involved with this show, because he has been largely absent from our screens for way too long. The character actors has racked up over 100 credits over the course of a career that stretches back to 1969, with Dirty Harry, Mask, Cobra, Hellraiser, Shoot to Kill, Child’s Play 3, Trancers III, Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings, and The Puppet Masters being among the many movies you might have seen him in.

Nicolas Cage has some new co-stars. Two more actors have just joined the cast of Spider-Noir, the upcoming MGM+ and Prime Video live-action series based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man Noir.
According to Deadline, Amy Aquino (Bosch) and Andrew Robinson (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) have been added to the recurring cast of Spider-Noir. Outside Bosch, in which she starred as Lt. Grace Billets, Aquino is known for her recurring roles in Being Human, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Brothers & Sisters, and most recently appeared as Judge Thelma Hollub in Clint Eastwood's 2024 drama Juror #2. As for Robinson, he seems to have taken a step back from acting in the mid-2000s, although he voiced an alternate version of his Deep Space Nine character Elim Garak in an episode of the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks last year.

It’s so fitting that Garth Hudson was the last man standing from the Band. The beloved organ virtuoso died on Tuesday morning at 87, near Woodstock, New York — just a few miles down the road from Big Pink, the house where the Band and Bob Dylan transformed music history just by jamming in the basement. Garth Hudson was the mystery man in the Band, the silent one, the only one who didn’t sing. He was years older than the others, already in his thirties when they made their classic 1968 debut,...

Garth Hudson, the keyboardist, sax player and archivist for Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Band whose farewell show with the group was memorialized in Martin Scorsese’s landmark documentary The Last Waltz, died Tuesday in his sleep at a nursing home in Woodstock, NY. He was 87.
The executor of his estate executor confirmed the news to the Toronto Star.
Born Eric Hudson on August 2, 1937, in Windsor, Ontario, and was trained in classical piano and music theory. He played in local bands before hooking up in the late 1950s with rockabilly singer Ronnie Hawkins’ The Hawks, which eventually would feature many of his Band mates. The group would back Bob Dylan’s on the notorious mid-’60s “Going Electric” tours and, rechristened The Band, they collaborated on groundbreaking album The Basement Tapes, helping to invent the Americana genre.

Garth Hudson, the majestic keyboard, saxophone and accordion player and last surviving member of The Band, died Tuesday. He was 87.
Hudson died in his sleep at a nursing home in Woodstock, New York, his estate executor told The Toronto Star.
The Canadian musician and his mates Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, Rick Danko and Richard Manuel backed up Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan before striking out on their own. They perfected a style that combined American roots music, country, blues, R&b, gospel, rockabilly and — courtesy of Hudson — tenor sax and organ dirges.
One of many highlights of a Band concert was the bearded Hudson as mad genius performing an organ solo and a standard improvised introduction to “Chest Fever,” from their seminal 1968 debut album Music From Big Pink. The tune, written by Robertson and echoing Bach with its classical overtones, opened their Woodstock set in 1969.

It's business as usual in Los Angeles now the worst of the wildfires is over and Spider-Noir resumed shooting yesterday. Lead star Nicolas Cage, no stranger to comic book adaptations, has been spotted in costume as Ben Reilly, albeit in his P.I. gear rather than a super-suit.
The actor first played this version of Spidey in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and became an instant fan-favourite. The fact he's getting to reprise the role in live-action isn't something we ever expected, though this Spider-Man is Ben, not Peter Parker (we don't think that makes him a clone; it's more than likely a result of Sony not wanting to confuse audiences).
It's been a while since we got any updates about Spider-Noir but MGM and Amazon Prime appear to be moving full steam ahead with the streaming series.
While it was put into development before Sony Pictures pulled the plug on its villain-led Marvel Universe,...

While it was put into development before Sony Pictures pulled the plug on its villain-led Marvel Universe,...

It has been months since Marvel teased the existence of an All-New Venom completely independent of the symbiote’s previous hosts. While Marvel and the series have been tactically placing teases and false leads to the host’s secret identity, nothing solid has been revealed yet. However, Marvel has finally revealed which comic issue readers will finally discover Venom’s identity as well the issue’s mysterious cover art.
In a post on X, Marvel Comics HQ revealed the cover image for All-New Venom #5 – written by Al Ewing, with art by Carlos Gómez – which promises to reveal the secret identity of Venom’s new host. While the comic series has presented four possible options, most fans aren’t really certain who it is.
Writer Al Ewing and Marvel have slipped in false leads already; the vague clues and overt yet useless hints have been meant to turn readers in every which way.

Warning! This post contains Spoilers for Amazing Spider-Man #65
Surprisingly, Spider-Man just quit his latest responsibility as a superhero in the comics. However, it's not hard to blame the iconic Webslinger considering what he's just been through. Having been chosen to serve as Earth's champion in the mystical Covenant of Cyttorak, Peter Parker's latest trial may have truly broken his spirit (and it may take some significant time and work for it to be repaired).
In the ongoing "8 Deaths of Spider-Man" storyline, Doctor Doom (Marvel's current Sorcerer Supreme) has tasked Spider-Man with fighting in the Covenant of Cyttorak, a series of trials and battles against the chaos god's scions to protect the world. As such Doom grants Peter Parker with new magical armor and the eight Reeds of Raggadorr to bring Spider-Man back to life following each trial. However, Spider-Man's newest trial in the new Amazing Spider-Man #65 from Joe Kelly...

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man ushered in a new era of superhero cinema, and many cast members of the Marvel Universe film have gone on to lead notable careers. With an MCU timeline that has gone on to combine all of the various universes in films like Spider-Man: No Way Home, there is reason to believe that additional actors and characters from this iteration of the web-slinger's universe may still play a part in Marvel's future. This makes it important to review the cast of Spider-Man, with an eye to where they are now.
The Spider-Verse has only grown larger in the decades since, with live-action and animated films alike cross-pollinating with one another. Audiences have continued to ask where future Tobey Maguire Spider-Man sequels are, and the more time that passes, the more likely it seems that such an event could actually occur. One of the first signs that Jimmy Carter was not your average politician came in January 1974. Already a Bob Dylan fan, the then-governor of Georgia was in the audience at Atlanta’s Omni Coliseum to see Bob Dylan and the Band on their historic tour. Afterward, the musicians, promoter Bill Graham, and a few local music-biz associates were driven (accompanied by state troopers) to the governor’s mansion for an after-show gathering.

The infamous Venom symbiote has attached to countless hosts over it's long life, but it is most known for its long-running connection to the Brock family. With the reveal that Venom will be joining with a fresh host in All-New Venom, Marvel is making it clear that the symbiote has abandoned Eddie and Dylan for one simple reason: He just loves them way too much!
While Eddie and Venom have a violent and storied partnership, the symbiote's relationship with the young Dylan Brock is even more complex, because Dylan is technically the genetic child of Venom.
Jordan D. White, Marvel's top Venom editor, recently confirmed to Aipt that the reason Venom left the Brocks is because it cares too much about them, and wants to save them from its "curse," protecting them from its self-perceived corruptive power.

The true identity of Marvel’s new Venom is a huge mystery, but the book’s editor has just laid out the list of suspects who might have taken up the mantle of lethal protector. It’s a classic superhero secret identity story, but told from the point of view of someone who doesn't know who's behind the gooey mask. All that readers can do for now is guess between four potential hosts.
In an interview with Aipt, All-New Venom editor Jordan D White has broken down the four classic Marvel characters who could be the new Venom, and why each of them would be interesting as the symbiote’s host.
The new book, written by Al Ewing and drawn by Carlos Gómez, is structured as a mystery, with former Venom host Dylan Brock trying to work out who has 'his' symbiote. The four in question are Luke Cage, Madame Masque,...

Documentaries are one of the most versatile genres of movies and television, as they can tackle any subject and play with form in order to best communicate their stories. In recent years, the best true crime documentaries have contributed greatly to the success and popularity of the documentary format. While these music biopics rarely have the shock and gore of true crime, they have their fair share of tragedy. The filmmakers behind these projects do their best to be honest about the struggles and pitfalls of the subjects of their documentaries.
Unlike the best music biopics, music documentaries attempt to capture the realism and the elements that came together for these musicians and bands to create such songs. While the backstories of the individuals involved will often be discussed, the impact of the industry and the genius behind their artistry is of equal importance. Who is the All-New Venom? Following the recent Venom War event, writer Al Ewing is spinning his symbiote saga into a brand new ongoing series alongside superstar artist Carlos Gómez.
Hitting stands next week, the series will see the Venom symbiote bond to a host very different than any he's had in history. The mystery of Venom's identity will unfold over the title's first arc, and when the secret is finally revealed, it will supposedly "shock readers and Marvel heroes alike."
As for who might be wearing the alien suit, Madame Masque, Robbie Robertson, Rick Jones, and Luke Cage are the confirmed candidates, with the latter three teased in this first look at the issue (courtesy of some very on-the-nose dialogue which sees them each hint that they might have a certain alien up their respective sleeves).
As for which of them will eventually be revealed as the All-New Venom.

In 1973, the world saw George Harrison as the Beatle who was winning the break-up. He became a solo superstar with All Things Must Pass, his big triple-vinyl extravaganza, then his noble and star-studded Concert For Bangla Desh. He’d finally broken free of the Fabs and gotten everything he’d ever wanted. Right? Well, not exactly. George turned his spiritual crisis into Living in the Material World, his slept-on masterpiece — the most profoundly weird album of his life.

Sony and Amazon/MGM's Spider-Noir series appears to be taking some major liberties with the source material, but given how obscure this Variant of the web-slinger is, does it really matter if "Ben Reilly" is beneath the mask instead of Peter Parker?
That's debatable; regardless, Sony appears to be ignoring the fact Ben is Peter's clone and we don't anticipate that being addressed in any way when Spider-Noir swings on to streaming next year.
Today, we have some new photos from the TV show's set (via Just Jared) showcasing Nicolas Cage's private eye. We've already seen that the series will feature a comic-accurate superhero costume and Cage unquestionably looks the part of "Ben" in these snaps.
Earlier this year, Cage opened up on what led to him reprising a role he first played in the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, adapting bigger and bolder storylines to live-action, Sony too is moving ahead with its Spider-Man Universe. Having access to some 900 or so characters related to the fan-favorite web-slinger, the studio is now moving to the small screen to bring yet another story to live-action.

Starring Nicolas Cage, the studio has been developing the series Spider-Noir for quite some time now, and the first looks of the series were recently leaked. Reprising his role from the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse, this time in live-action, fans are excited and waiting eagerly for the series.
Despite Sony’s track record of Marvel flicks (other than the Spider-Verse movies) being, bluntly stating, terrible, the prospect of seeing Cage as the live version of his character does seem alluring. So, without further ado, here is all we know about the latest and upcoming series.

Nicolas Cage was spotted on the set of Spider-Noir earlier this month but wasn’t in his Spidey costume at the time. Thankfully, our first look at the live-action Spider-Man Noir costume has arrived, thanks to a handful of set photos. There’s also a video that showcases a stunt sequence in which Spider-Noir is perched atop a vehicle while shooting webs. You’ll have to view that through the link. Given the nature of the scene, it’s not Cage in the costume but rather a stunt double.

Given that it's being developed by Sony, there's been some concern among fans that Amazon's Spider-Noir series starring Nicolas Cage might not see the title character actually suit up.
Peter Parker has already been replaced by Ben Reilly as Spider-Man Noir, but newly revealed photos and footage from the show's set confirm we're getting a comic-accurate take on the wall-crawling private detective.
The hero looks like he's stepped straight off the page with a design that's also pretty much identical to what we saw in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Based on how this scene is playing out, Ben will see a fair bit of action as he rides atop a car while shooting webs into the distance. He also has his trademark hat and goggles, though we should point out that it's a stuntman in the suit, not Cage.

It’s one last waltz for Robbie and Marty.
Variety reports that Martin Scorsese is directing the filming of a tribute concert dedicated to his late friend and collaborator Robbie Robertson for a concert film. The Blackbird Presents (Outlaw Music Festival)-produced concert, called “Life Is a Carnival: A Musical Celebration of Robbie Robertson,” will take place Thursday at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Plans for the release of the future film have not been set.
Robertson, the legendary musician and songwriter best known for his work with the legendary roots rock outfit The Band, died in 2023 at age 80. His relationship with Scorsese went back to the 1970s, when Scorsese directed “The Last Waltz,” the 1978 star-studded concert film commemorating The Band’s final performance. Robertson then worked as a composer, music supervisor, or consultant on many of Scorsese’s films, including “Raging Bull,” “The Color of Money,” “Casino,” and “The Irishman.
