One of the things we love the most about NCIS is the relationships between not just the team, but with their loved ones. This is especially true for Agent Tim McGee and his wife, Delilah (Margo Harshman). Whenever they are onscreen, the audience gets fun insights into their personal lives and we get to see them work together. So will we see them back together in action?
Before the midseason hiatus, executive producer Steven D. Binder hinted that we would see Delilah come back in a Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner style episode. This will involve her husband’s concerns and suspicions regarding Deputy Director Gabriel Laroche. McGee has been secretly investigating him and the possibility that he is the mole at NCIS. In an upcoming episode, Delilah will get involved somehow.

Home Improvement, which aired from 1991 to 1999 and launched the career of Tim Allen, has just found a new streaming home for the New Year. The sitcom will be available on Netflix starting next month. The show was renowned for its blend of humor, heartwarming moments, and, of course, the iconic "Tool Time" segments. Allen played Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor, a well-meaning but accident-prone host of a home improvement TV show called Tool Time. While Tim tackled DIY projects — usually with disastrous results — the heart of the show was the Taylor family dynamic. Tim’s wife Jill (Patricia Richardson) and their three sons, Brad (Zachery Ty Bryan), Randy (Jonathan Taylor Thomas), and Mark (Taran Noah Smith) were the backbone of the series.

What time is it? It's Tool Time! That's because the classic sitcom "Home Improvement" is coming to Netflix very soon. The ABC TV series, which ran for eight seasons in the '90s and made Tim Allen into a star, is set to make its debut on the streaming service in February. So strap in for some nostalgic binge-watching, because just over 200 episodes of shenanigans with the Taylor family are on the way.
Beginning February 1, 2025 in the United States, "Home Improvement" will be available on Netflix in its entirety. The show was a ratings monster in its day and remained wildly popular for years thanks to reruns in syndication. It made a massive star out of Allen, who was previously known best as a stand-up comic. It also made a teen superstar out of Jonathan Taylor Thomas, who later disappeared from Hollywood entirely.

Tim Allen — perhaps most famously known for playing Tim "The Toolman" Taylor on Home Improvement — is back to being a wisecrackin' dad on network television. The man behind Buzz Lightyear is starring opposite Kat Dennings in a new ABC sitcom called Shifting Gears, and the first trailer for the series is right here, right now, for you to watch. So park it here for a second while we crowbar another car metaphor into this opening paragraph, and then we'll get on with the trailer-viewing, eh?

The death of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter on December 29, 2024 has turned the world's eyes on the statesman's life and deeds. As is the case with people who have reached the upper echelons of power (let alone ones who lived to the highly respectable age of 100), there's a lot to reminisce about. What might escape most people's attention, however, is Carter's short-lived stint as a sitcom actor.
Where Tim Allen's "Home Improvement" stands in comparison to the best sitcoms of all time is a matter of the viewer's opinion. However, for a single episode that first aired on March 9, 1994, very few other series could claim similar prestige. "Home Improvement" season 3, episode 18, which is titled "The Eve of Construction," sees Tim Taylor's (Allen) show-within-a-show "Tool Time" teaming up with the Habitat for Humanity non-profit organization to raise awareness for affordable housing.

If you were around in the '90s, you probably grew up hearing the familiar "Huh?!" sound of the decade's long-running sitcom "Home Improvement." Love it or hate it, the Tim Allen-led show about the Taylor family, led by overconfident Tim The Toolman, was pretty ubiquitous throughout its eight-season run, and it even won seven Primetime Emmys. But at some point in 1999, the show faded out and the "Huh?!" sound stopped popping up in primetime. It left behind a legacy that included Jonathan Taylor Thomas, the often-unseen nosy neighbor Wilson, and Tim Allen's alleged bad behavior and on-the-record terrible opinions.
Just in 2024, another layer was added to the show's legacy when co-star Patricia Richardson, who played Tim's long-suffering wife Jill, spoke to the Los Angeles Times about the 25th anniversary of the show's final season, revealing that a pay dispute ultimately led to the series demise. Holiday horror is a special subgenre all its own, full of famous films from the scandal-stirring Silent Night, Deadly Night, to Art the Clown's festive turn in Terrifier 3. The image of an evil Santa Claus has become iconic over the years, but his first — and best — starring role is in the incomparable Christmas Evil. This personal favorite of John Waters is constantly surprising, right up to its genuinely shocking twist ending.
While many holiday horror movies settle for a homicidal villain in a red and white suit, Christmas Evil has an antihero who is so obsessed with Saint Nick that he fully transforms into the jolly old elf, bringing cheer to the nice and slaughtering the naughty. The movie's startling mix of slasher movie depravity and yuletide fantasy thrilled the director of Pink Flamingos and Hairspray, and this John Waters-approved oddity should become a new Christmas tradition for cult film fans.

It's no secret that it's tough to create a memorable Christmas movie that sticks with audiences for years to come. Many are produced each year, but few become classics that families will watch together time and time again. In 1994, Disney produced an off-beat Christmas movie starring comedian Tim Allen titled The Santa Clause. At the top of his game in the mid-1990s with a hit TV show, Allen seemed like somewhat of an unconventional choice to play Santa Claus. But the film ended up being successful, so successful that it expanded into a franchise in the early 2000s.

While the Taylors were a big, (mostly) happy family in the '90s sitcom, Home Improvement, there were problems behind the scenes, particularly a large pay gap between Jill actress Patricia Richardson and her co-star, Tim Allen. Running for eight seasons, the sitcom saw Tim "The Toolman" Taylor (Allen) balancing hosting his home improvement show, Tool Time with his hectic family life. Set against the backdrop of a suburban neighborhood, it resonated with many middle-class viewers, who saw themselves in the characters and their relatable storylines. The show also made a huge star out of Randy Taylor actor Jonathan Taylor Thomas.

Former child actor and television star Zachery Ty Bryan is facing some new legal trouble after a recent arrest for DUI. It marks the second arrest of the year for the same charge after a prior incident in February.
Bryan, who's best known for playing Brad Taylor in the hit sitcom Home Improvement, was arrested on Friday by Oklahoma police, per TMZ. Police say they first observed Bryan sleeping in the back seat of his vehicle and initially let him be, only to observe him driving soon after. After a traffic stop was initiated, police say Bryan admitted that he was intoxicated, and the actor proceeded to fail field sobriety tests. Though Bryan reportedly turned down the breathalyzer, he described his soberness as a five on a 0 to 10 scale. He was then placed under arrest for DUI.

Back in the ’90s, a rather unusual sitcom dominated the television screens in a way no other had done before it. Not only did its distinctive storyline catch the attention of viewers worldwide, but this ABC series also reached some impressive numbers with its viewership, awards, and revenue throughout the time that it aired from September 1991 to May 1999.

Anyone who’s seen episodes of Home Improvement from the 90s Likely recognizes Richard Karn. Richard played the role of Al Borland in the show. Home Improvement was a huge hit when it first premiered, and that’s why it was successfully renewed for eight seasons.
Shows that aren’t worthwhile get canceled after one or two seasons, but that definitely wasn’t the case for Home Improvement. It also pulled in a 7.2 out of 10-star rating on IMDb. Part of the reason the show scored so well is because of its awesome cast, including Richard. Most recently, Richard debuted a much slimmer appearance. These are the details.

Tim Allen hasn’t been making a ton of movies or TV shows lately, but he has been making a lot of headlines for being a giant asshole. There were the reports that Allen previously threw his Home Improvement co-star Patricia Richardson under the bus during contract negotiations with ABC, allegations that he exposed himself to “Tool Girl” Pamela Anderson in 1991 and claims that he was “so fucking rude” while working with Casey Wilson, which seems especially egregious because he was literally dressed like Santa Claus at the time.
So it’s not entirely shocking that a new anecdote about Allen being a dick to his collaborators just dropped.

The subject of revisiting Modern Family came up with Vergara during a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast. She made it clear that she'd be happy to return as Gloria Delgado with zero hesitation, as Vergera emphatically stated, "I mean, I would do it in a second... Of course, I would do it." Can you believe ‘Home Improvement’ did not end because of pay disparity, even though it’s been going on for years that Patricia Richardson co-starred alongside Tim Allen?
While Richardson, at the time, wanted to make it seem as though she ran because she wasn’t being offered a good deal, no amount of money in the world, per her own words, would have made her film another season for ABC. Why? She’s finally opening up about the reason she left the hit show.
Patricia Richardson Didn’t Want To Return For Another Season of ‘Home Improvement’ For This Reason

Home Improvement star Patricia Richardson shares her candid thoughts about why the sitcom isn't as well-remembered today, taking a swipe at Full House in the process. Debuting on ABC in 1991 and lasting until 1999 for a total of eight seasons and 204 episodes, the sitcom centered on the Taylor family led by Tim Taylor (Tim Allen) and his wife Jill (Richardson). According to Patricia Richardson, the 1990s sitcom Home Improvement would have gotten a ninth season had Disney, which co-produced the ABC series through its Touchstone Television company, accepted her request for equal pay between her and co-star Tim Allen. “When I took the job, they said it wasn’t meant to be the Tim Allen show. It was meant to be our show,” Richardson said in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, reflecting on her time playing Jill Taylor on the hit series. “I’ve always said, I don’t want to play the thankless wife.” For Season 3, Richardson got a new deal entitling her to four Jill-centric episodes per season and a profit share point for a portion of the back-end money, she told the Times. “I knew that residuals just get less and less, and I felt that I am going to end up being a...

Comedian Ray Romano found big success as the star of the hit sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, though he suggests that it's actually the love for his co-stars that drew people to the series. In particular, Peter Boyle was one co-star that Romano has credited as one of the reasons the sitcom worked so well.
Per Remind, Romano said Boyle portraying his father, Frank Barone, was "one of the main reasons it worked." He also admitted to feeling apprehensive about how well Boyle would do in the role at first, ultimately casting Boyle based on his past accomplishments as an actor. After giving praise to Boyle for how well he did with Frank, Romano also gave credit to some of the other cast members, noting how Brad Garrett played a big part in shaping out the Robert Barone character as well.

Patricia Richardson was a major reason why the ’90s sitcom “Home Improvement” was as successful as it was for eight seasons—and she knew it. So when it came time to re-up for Season 9, she wanted to strike a deal with Disney: the same pay rate as costar Tim Allen and a producer credit.
Predictably, the network turned her down, so Richardson walked.
“I knew that Disney would in no way pay me that much. That was my way to say ‘no’ and was a little bit of a flip-off to Disney,” she told the Los Angeles Times in an interview published Thursday. “I’d been there all this time, and they never even paid me a third of what Tim was making, and I was working my ass off. I was a big reason why women were watching.”

Patricia Richardson, who starred as family matriarch Jill Taylor on the hit ABC sitcom Home Improvement, said she used the large pay gap between her and co-star Tim Allen to avoid continuing with the show.
“I told everybody, ‘There’s not enough money in the world to get me to do a ninth year,'” she said in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times. “This show is over. It needs to end.”
Richardson claims ABC offered her $1 million per episode and Allen $2 million per episode for a 25-episode ninth season. Allen was willing, but Richardson wanted to spend more time with her family in the wake of her divorce from Ray Baker.
Still, she claimed gave her pitch to ABC: pay her the same amount as Allen and give her an executive producer credit on the show. Then would she sign on for another season.
She offered it knowing it was doomed.

Debuting on ABC in 1991 and lasting until 1999, for a total of eight seasons and 204 episodes, the sitcom centered around the Taylor family and gave a particular focus to Tim Taylor (Allen) and his wife Jill (Patricia Richardson). Zachery Ty Bryan appeared in an Oregon court Wednesday afternoon to face charges stemming from a July arrest, which marked the latest in a string of legal issues for the troubled former child star best known for Home Improvement.
During today’s proceedings, Bryan, 42, pled guilty to felony assault in the fourth degree constituting domestic violence. As part of a negotiated resolution, a second count was dismissed and, rather than spend 19 to 20 months in Oregon Department of Corrections, Bryan will receive a “downward dispositional departure” to 36 months of supervised probation, seven days in jail and he must abide by a set of conditions typical of domestic violence cases.
Those conditions call for no contact with the victim without the probation officer’s approval, alcohol and substance abuse treatment, and no alcohol and drug use moving forward. Should he violate any of the above conditions, Bryan would be subject to serving...

Jonathan Taylor Thomas, or Jtt as fans fondly called him, rose to fame as a child star on Home Improvement in the '90s but left the show to focus on his education. Alongside his TV roles, Thomas also pursued a career in movies and voiced key characters in The Lion King and The Adventures of Pinocchio. After taking a break from acting, Thomas returned to the screen in 2013 for Last Man Standing, and since then, he has ventured into directing and remains an active member of SAG-AFTRA.
Thanks to his role on Home Improvement, Jonathan Taylor Thomas was one of the most popular child stars of the '90s, but what happened to the actor afterward has mostly been a mystery. Thomas got his start as part of the legacy of another iconic sitcom, playing Greg's son Kevin on a short-lived revival of The Brady Bunch titled The Bradys.
