One of HBO's biggest original series in the 2000s was "Entourage," created by Doug Ellin in 2004 and loosely based on the up-and-coming experiences of executive producer Mark Wahlberg. The comedy series followed Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), a breakout movie star whose close friends not-so-subtly rode the coattails of his success in Hollywood. After the show's eight-season run and feature film continuation, "Entourage" was remade for South Korean audiences in 2016 as a K-drama, or scripted Korean television show of any genre. Also titled "Entourage," the Korean version wasn't particularly successful with local audiences, but it remains an interesting watch, especially for fans of the HBO original series.
The Korean "Entourage" follows popular 20-something actor Cha Young-bin, who is accompanied by his three friends as he enjoys life in the spotlight. Young-bin is closely monitored by his agency's CEO Kim Eun-gab, who frequently clashes with Young-bin's childhood best friend and manager Lee Ho-jin.

Have you ever experienced this before? You're watching one of your comfort shows from decades ago, something you remember fondly watching when you were younger and want to relive that same magic. All of a sudden, you come face-to-face with a horrific joke that no longer passes the vibe check. Everything from "Friends" to "The Simpsons" have jokes that aged terribly, but there's a different kind of realization you might come to with certain programs. While some shows have singular episodes that no longer work, some series have central premises that no network or streamer would take a chance on today.
Making a list of TV shows that would never be made today is pretty common, but many of these other lists have entries that just don't make sense. Like how can you say that "South Park" couldn't be made today when new episodes are currently getting made? There are...

Many actors have reflected on the big roles they lost, whether due to scheduling or different reasons. Kate Hudson is the latest one to jump with her own story for a film she would've been perfect for.
The Oscar-nominated actress has had a series of iconic roles, but proved she was one of the most beloved rom-com actresses thanks to roles in 2003's How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, 2011's A Little Bit Like Heaven, Something Borrowed, and many others. Her impressive rom-com resume could've been even more impressive with one cult classic. In a new appearance on the Capital Breakfast radio show (via Entertainment Weekly), Hudson opened up about losing the lead character role in 2006's The Devil Wears Prada.

Although an official release date is unknown, the new trailer for Ramble On has Entourage fans eagerly anticipating the new year. Created by Doug Ellin, the spiritual successor follows several Hollywood stars who've passed their prime and fallen on hard times. The main draw is Charlie Sheen, who portrays a heightened version of himself as he tries to recapture past glory and rekindle his acting career.
Along with Sheen, several Entourage actors play themselves in the upcoming series, including Kevin Connolly and Kevin Dillon, who famously portrayed Eric Murphy and Johnny "Drama" Chase on the hit HBO drama. As Ellin attempts to sell the pilot episode to willing networks or streamers, it's time to meet who will take center stage in the new series about finding second chances in Hollywood.

In the not-publicly-released trailer for the pilot Doug Ellin hopes to sell, Kevin Connolly pursues an entertainment industry hustle alongside Kevin Dillon. At first glance, it looks like a reboot of Entourage, Ellin’s early-2000s show about a rising actor and his team that starred Connolly, Dillon and others. Then halfway through the trailer, Charlie Sheen shows up.
Connolly, playing a version of himself, needs a hit for his podcast studio. So he approaches Sheen, who is also playing a version of himself. “This could be an amazing opportunity for both of us,” fake Connolly tells fake Sheen. “It could be your get-out-of-jail-free card.”
Ellin has described this project, Ramble On, as being about second acts and redemption. Perhaps those themes are on Ellin’s mind 20 years after Entourage premiered on HBO. He has attempted other projects since then. But that was before the renewed attention Entourage seems to be getting,...

There's nothing like geeking out over heavy metal music together to break the ice before shooting a film. In a recent interview with MovieWeb for his action-horror film Werewolves, director Steven C. Miller recalled his 2017 collaboration with Nicolas Cage in the action film Arsenal and how, much to his surprise, he and Cage found common ground in metal. “I don't know that many people would know that Nicolas Cage is a huge metal head,” Miller told MovieWeb in a recent interview.
“I think in our first conversations, we were just talking about metal bands for like an hour. I don't know that we talked about the movie that we were going to do. He’d flown me in to meet with him, to sort of see if I was the guy for the job.” Miller went on to say:
“We talked about music for the first hour before we even got to the movie.

The movie sequel to HBO's celebrated television series Entourage is streaming now on Netflix. Created by Doug Ellin, who also went on to write and direct the 2015 movie, Entourage spanned 96 episodes across eight seasons from 2004 to 2011 and became one of the most popular comedy series of the 2000s. While some of the humor used in the celebrated series certainly belongs to the time it takes place in, Entourage provided one of the most detailed and hilarious inside looks into the hypothetical life of an A-list movie star named Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier). The series is loosely based on the real-life experiences of Mark Wahlberg, who acts as an executive producer.
By blending pseudo-reality and fiction, Entourage became an immersive and highly bingable self-reflective series about Hollywood and the entertainment industry. The series offers a glamorized slice of life for Vince as he rises to Hollywood stardom with the support of his hometown troupe from Queens,...

Nicolas Cage has had one of the most varied careers in Hollywood, but its in the action movie genre that hes had some of his most acclaimed and memorable roles. With three iconic releases in 1996 alone, including The Rock, Con Air, and Face/Off, Cage has made a name for himself as a non-stop worker who's always willing to embrace even the most outlandish of movie premises. From blockbuster smashes to later lesser-known straight-to-video releases, Cage has become a touchstone in modern popular culture and has achieved cult status among action movie lovers.
While some of Cages best movies were undisputed action classics, there were also some heartbreakingly low points in his long and bloated filmography. Whether hes portraying a vengeful father, a man who has escaped from hell, or even a future-seeing action hero, Cage has consistently remained totally committed to his roles and brought his unique style and eccentricities to Hollywoods film landscape.

Although it may seem like straight-to-video movies signaled a low point in the career of Nicolas Cage, upon closer inspection they included some of the actor's best roles in recent years. While Cage began his career in the 1980s and by the 1990s became an Oscar-winning actor and one of the biggest action stars in the world, in the years since, hes also taken up many lower-budget, lesser-known, straight-to-video movies. However, this shift toward more lowkey productions did not come at the expense of good performances, as Cage continued to give his all to every role he played.
Every Nicolas Cage movie has something unique to offer, as hes a performer who never phones it in and always tries to find a unique way to portray his characters. Although some of his direct-to-video action movies were full of genre tropes and cliches, they were usually still fun-filled spectacles that kept viewers enthralled throughout.

Four cast members from the HBO hit Entourage have reunited. Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Kevin Connolly, and Jerry Ferrara got together at MegaCon this weekend. The cast members have individually met up since the show's end, but this was their first group reunion in years.
Despite the lack of an Entourage reboot, the cast still reunited eight years after it ended. The show revolves around Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), a rising film star navigating the highs and lows of Hollywood. Vince's entourage includes his best friend and manager, Eric "E" Murphy (Kevin Connolly); his half-brother and struggling actor, Johnny "Drama" Chase (Kevin Dillon); and his childhood friend and driver, Turtle (Jerry Ferrara). Their journey is further complicated and enriched by the presence of Vince's brash and relentless agent, Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven), whose larger-than-life personality and unwavering loyalty add a dynamic edge to the series.

Florals for spring? How original. A legendary trio reuniting onstage to present a 2024 Screen Actors Guild Award? Instantly iconic.
“The Devil Wears Prada” co-stars Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Emily Blunt, who is SAG Award and Oscar nominated for her supporting role in “Oppenheimer,” joined together 18 years after the 2006 film to present the award for Male Actor in a Comedy at the 2024 SAG Awards. The awards ceremony streamed live on Netflix Saturday, February 24.
Streep took the stage in a Prada dress to present the first award of the night, but comically stumbled when she reached the microphone.
“Two things,” Streep said. “I forgot my glasses, clearly. And the envelope.”
Those problems were quickly rectified when her former onscreen assistants Blunt and Hathaway joined her on stage. Blunt brought the envelope containing the winner (Jeremy Allen White for “The Bear”), while Hathaway brought Streep’s glasses. Fans of the movie might...

Hollywood has produced a number of prolific actors over the years, but few can rival Matt Damon in terms of fame and popularity. The Bourne Legacy actor is one of the most popular actors who keeps adding a wide collection of films to his stellar resume. 2023 has been incredible for the actor as he worked in the sports biopic Air and Christopher Nolan’s biographical epic Oppenheimer.
Adrian Grenier as Vincent Chase in Entourage
However, none of these films compare to his one cameo scene in the 6th season of Entourage. Matt Damon’s angry rant in the cameo scene was epic, and it led to a hilarious reaction from the fans, as the emotions were raw and unfiltered, perfectly fitting the scene. Fans could not get enough and they believed it was the best cameo in the history of TV Series.

One producer recalls getting pushback from colleagues over Meryl Streep's casting in The Devil Wears Prada due to beliefs that she couldn't be funny. While Streep is funny in the film, she doesn't play Miranda for laughs, which is part of why she works as a character. Streep's revered status in Hollywood further adds to the role, helping to make Miranda a larger-than-life figure in the story.

The race by the AMPTP and the WGA to get a deal done by sundown had plenty of folks thinking back to a very memorable episode of Entourage — Doug Ellin, included.
The creator of the HBO comedy was reminded Sunday on X about how the weekend negotiations between the AMPTP and the WGA sounded “like an Entourage storyline.”
Ellin replied, “And on Yom Kippur it sure does.”
Not sure what he’s talking about? Think back 16 years ago to the season 3 episode dubbed “The Return of the King.” The 2007 episode kicks off with the boys at the race track while Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) is arriving at temple before the start of Yom Kippur. That’s when he runs into Nick Rubenstein (Adam Goldberg), the neurotic son of movie producer Phil Rubenstein who is making the movie Medellin with Paul Haggis.

Entourage creator Doug Ellin accidentally lashed out at a satire article about the show. Entourage itself is a satirical look at the lifestyle of actors in Hollywood, as Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) searches for ways to continue to break out into stardom. The show ran for eight seasons and earned several Emmys and Golden Globes along the way.
After nearly a decade off the air, Entourage continues to draw more attention than ever after Ellin lashed out at a satirical article, which suggested the HBO series was a product of its time and looks different now. The writer of the article, Max Garcia Davison, quickly brought to Ellin's attention that the article was satire. The Entourage creator subsequently announced that he was not drinking, as many readers speculated, but that he had been enjoying an edible at the time and wasn't reading the piece correctly. Check out the tweets below:...

It seems like Mark Wahlberg and the rest of the Entourage gang may need to hug it out, as Jeremy Piven is saying he’s the major snag in a potential reboot. Wahlberg, whose exploits with his funky bunch (not that one) were a key inspiration for the story and characters, also served as an executive producer.
Speaking with TMZ, Piven (who won three Emmys for playing Ari Gold) said that if Mark Wahlberg can find the time to throw his weight and starpower behind an Entourage reboot, it will be a Tarvold-level victory for all. “If Mark and his team were really behind it, that would be some nice momentum…Listen, Mark wakes up, he gets about 11 minutes sleep. He wakes up and he prays, he crushes the weights, he never stops! So…when he comes up for air in a little crack of time, just make that call to HBO and everybody wins.

Who knows if we will ever see a return of the HBO series Entourage, but one of its stars says that there's just one thing standing in the way of making it happen. Running for eight seasons between 2004 and 2011, the show had a continuation of sorts when it was given a feature film follow-up in 2015. The series follows a Hollywood A-lister along with a group of childhood friends he's made his entourage. It is inspired by the life of Mark Wahlberg, who served as an executive producer on the show alongside Stephen Levinson.
One of the show's standout characters was Jeremy Piven's Ari Gold, an agent to actor Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier). Speaking with TMZ in a new chat, Piven addressed the possibility of Entourage getting revived. Recently, Wahlberg said he would support an Entourage revival, and Piven believes that if the producer would really get behind the idea and push for it,...

At the time of the cancellation, Tucci appeared on “The Tonight Show.” “Unfortunately, CNN has canceled all of their original programming, so hopefully we’ll end up on another streamer, network, we don’t know,” Tucci told Jimmy Fallon. “But yes, I have plans to do season three and more.”
Tucci has written two books on cooking. In 1996, he co-directed “Big Night” with Campbell Scott,...

Jake Johnson is vowing that there is no new unexpected ending to “New Girl.”
The heartwarming finale that saw Johnson’s Nick end up with Jess, played by Zooey Deschanel, would still stand if there was ever a reunion or revival, Johnson said during a 2023 SXSW panel. The “Self Reliance” director noted that Nick and Jess would not break up since fans last saw the characters in 2018.
“I think they would definitely make it work. I don’t think they would break up,” Johnson said. “They have a kid, they’re jumping around on that bed, you guys know it way more than me. I don’t think Nick or Jess would ever fall out of the commitment to do this thing together.”
He continued, “Liz Merriweather has created a very optimistic show, it’s people who are sweet to each other. So if it’s real and they’re alive,...

The Devil may wear Prada, but Andy Sachs is still riding solo.
“The Devil Wears Prada” screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna revealed that if the film were to have a follow-up, Anne Hathaway’s iconic character Andy Sachs would “definitely not” still be dating Adrian Grenier’s unsupportive chef Nate.
“Andy and Nate are definitely not together,” Brosh McKenna told Variety. “That much I can tell you.”
Grenier’s Nate has been deemed the true “villain” of the beloved 2006 rom-com following aspiring serious journalist Andy (Hathaway) while she rises in the ranks at Runway, a Vogue knockoff fashion magazine. Meryl Streep starred as Andy’s boss Miranda Priestly, infamously modeled after Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
Hathaway recently addressed the new Nate hate, saying during “Watch What Happens Live!” that Nate is not the villain. “No, I’m sorry, I don’t [think so],” the Oscar winner said. “I think that they were both...

Entourage star Emmanuelle Chriqui has defended the series after claims it was “misogynistic”.
The series followed a group of men, led by Hollywood actor Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), and their lavish lifestyle in Los Angeles.
Chriqui joined the HBO comedy in 2005 for its second season, and played Sloan, the girlfriend of Kevin Connolly’s Eric, right through to its final run in 2011. She reprised the role of Sloan for the film spin-off in 2015.
In recent years, the show’s legacy has been questioned, with some writers calling the Doug Ellin-directed series sexist for its depiction of women as disposable sexual pursuits.
One person who disagrees with this is Chriqui, whose supporting character was the most prominent woman featured in the show.
During Chriqui’s appearance on Inside of You, podcast host Michael Rosenbaum asked the actor about whether the “bro culture” portrayed in the show “still exists”.

“The Devil Wears Prada” remains one of Anne Hathaway’s most enduring hits, but the Oscar winner isn’t too sold on returning for a potential sequel. Hathaway was recently asked about returning for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” during an interview on “The View” (via Entertainment Weekly). She said a sequel would be “tempting” to make but also probably not possible considering just how much print media has changed since the original film opened in 2006.
“I don’t know if there can be,” Hathaway said. “I just think that movie was in a different era. Now, everything has gone so digital and that movie centered around the concept of producing a physical thing. It’s just very different now.”
Hathaway added, “It is tempting to think about Andy (Hathaway) and Emily (Emily Blunt) needing to get Miranda (Meryl Streep) her coffee and she’s somewhere in Europe and then along...

Anne Hathaway has defended her Devil Wears Prada on-screen boyfriend Nate from a long-running fan theory, which claimed he is the true villain of the film.
Hathaway plays aspiring journalist Andy in the 2006 romantic comedy, opposite co-stars Adrian Grenier as Nate and Meryl Streep as her terrifying boss, Miranda Priestly.
In the film, Andy and Nate break up after she struggles to balance Miranda’s work demands with her personal life.
While Streep’s performance as Miranda has been widely praised, her character has been reassessed in the years since the film was released.
Many have argued that it is in fact Nate who is the real villain of the film, for prioritising his own needs as opposed to supporting Andy in her career development.
Now, Hathaway herself has weighed in on the debate. Speaking on the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen show on Tuesday (25 October), she was...

Anne Hathaway has us pursing our lips like Miranda Priestly after a recent "Watch What Happens Live" interview with Andy Cohen about the true villain of "The Devil Wears Prada": Andy Sachs's boyfriend, Nate Cooper (Adrian Grenier). Seasoned fans of the cult classic film will know that no ounce of Miranda's icy personality and - some might even say admirable - candor hold a candle to Nate's egocentric attitude. But Hathaway slapped the 5 grilled cheese right out of our hands when she revealed she disagrees that Nate is the villain all along.
"I wouldn't want to be defined by my worst moment in my 20s, certainly. So I don't hold Nate as a villain, actually."
"No, I'm sorry. I don't [think he was the villain]," she said when two fans called in to ask her opinion of Andy's boyfriend. "I think that they were both very young and figuring things out,...
