Editor’s Note: Yesterday, Sm Entertainment announced in a social media post that Nct member Taeil had departed from the group after learning he was “accused in a criminal case related to a sexual crime.” Jaehyun was interviewed before this news broke.
“Jump in if you feel it,” Jaehyun jokes to The Hollywood Reporter to kick off a late-night Zoom from Seoul, referencing the opening line of his latest single “Smoke.”
The 27-year-old K-Pop star, a member of Sm Entertainment’s mega-group Nct and its subgroup groups Nct 127 and DoJaeJung, is fresh off the release of his debut solo album, J.
The eight-track album, which includes the lead single “Smoke” in both Korean and English, is full of undeniably enticing R&b tracks. From the broody track “Roses,” full of post-relationship regret, to the upbeat “falling for you” song “Flamin’ Hot Lemon,” which Jaehyun co-wrote and composed, the album manages to find a consistent sound,...

Masters of the Air is primarily a show about the sheer horror men had to face during World War 2. Germany had the Luftwaffe, which had some serious firepower, but America had the Eighth Air Force, which was making tactically brilliant decisions by dropping their bombs right where it would hurt the German war effort the most. In the previous episodes, we had seen the harrowing scenes at the high altitudes, and yet the new episode begins with enthusiastic men, including Cleven and Egan, who get ready for a long flight right into the heart of darkness.
Spoilers Ahead
What Plan Did The Eighth Air Force Make?
A lot of good men had lost their lives in the previous mission; hence, a strategy was needed to make the next mission a success. It was doing nobody any good to put in an effort without actually succeeding in bombing the German sites of interest.

R&b legend Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, who recently performed “America the Beautiful” at the Super Bowl, has closed a deal to sell his house in Los Angeles’ guard-gated Beverly Crest neighborhood at a sale price of $6.5 million.
Babyface had shared the house with his now ex-wife, Nicole Pantenburg — the two finalized their divorce in February of this year.
According to Dirt.com, Edmonds purchased the residence for $4.1 million in 2004. The Altman Brothers’ listing described it as a “beautiful traditional home” featuring a “grand, two-story entry with an intricate ceiling and beautiful staircase. The house spans more than 11,000 square feet and includes six bedrooms, seven baths, a gourmet chef’s kitchen, a great room with a fireplace and wet bar and a ground-floor en-suite bedroom.

Naomi Ackie gives audiences a glimpse into the life of Whitney Houston in director Kasi Lemmons’ new biopic “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” and the new film is packed with a number of Houston’s hits.
Working with movement coach Polly Bennett and vocal coaches Tangela Large, Bridgette Jackson and Denise Woods, Ackie also underwent physical transformation with the help of numerous wigs and false teeth to cover the natural gap in her two front teeth.
Ackie doesn’t sing most songs in the film — she lip syncs to Houston’s perfect tracks instead — but she mimics Houston’s style of singing with great detail. She steps in for performances by Houston that were not recorded, such as “Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah” and “Jesus Loves Me” from her choir-singing days. Ackie also portrays a nervous Whitney who is thrust onstage by her mother, who knows Clive Davis is in attendance,...

William Wyler’s Dead End made its screen debut on Aug. 27, 1937. The film adaptation of Sidney Kingsley’s Broadway play starred Sylvia Sidney and Joel McCrea, and featured Humphrey Bogart in third billing. But the movie was stolen from them all by a gang of upstart juvenile delinquents, who nicked audience attention like a fancy watch mugged off a clueless rich brat.
Billy Halop, Huntz Hall, Gabe Dell, Bobby Jordan, Bernard Punsly, and Leo Gorcey were the original teen menaces who terrorized theatergoers when the play opened on Oct. 28, 1935. Directed by the playwright, Dead End ran for 684 performances, and is still the longest-running play in the Belasco Theater’s history. First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt saw it three times.
Nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture, Dead End isn’t the greatest gangster movie of all time. It followed the classic era of the genre; it was produced by Samuel Goldwyn for MGM studios,...

Ensuring that the next time you’re cuddling with that special someone, you can hop over to the turntable and spin them a little “Backdoor Lover,” Pitchfork reports that the Josie And The Pussycats soundtrack is making its way to vinyl. Produced by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, and featuring work from a number of influential songwriters of the early 2000s (plus Letters To Cleo’s Kay Hanley on lead vocals), the Pussycats soundtrack was significantly more successful than its attendant movie (despite the latter’s hard-won status as a satirical cult-classic).
The album is being reissued by Mondo, which is putting together a big event in L.A. to commemorate the release. The film’s directors, Harry Elfont and Deborah Kaplan, will be in attendance, while Hanley will be on hand to play a Josie And The Pussycats set.

Well, it’s about time. For the last twenty-five years or so, we’ve had one animated Batman series after another but to be honest only two are really good: Batman the Animated Series and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. The latter has been slowly coming out on Blu-Ray with season one in 2013 and season two in 2015. This month, we’re getting the third and final season and the good news is that it is as entertaining as remembered.
After increasingly odd interpretations of Batman, Warner Animation decided to go retro and bring back the Batman of the 1960s, who was not afraid to operate in daylight and would partner with just about anyone in a mask as the need arose. Producer James Tucker saw to it that it honored the comic the series took its name from while modernizing it with contemporary characters and characterizations. The result was...

Hernandez was going for the gold, literally, as she took the stage in a glitzy one-piece dress and a perfectly-styled ballerina bun. With help from Chmerkovskiy, she nailed her final "24 hour fusion" dance, which consisted of the foxtrot and Argentine tango.
Showcasing Hernandez's athleticism with stellar lifts, fierce extensions and quick movements across the floor, the routine received a perfect score and raving reviews from all four of the judges. "My golly, you really are a spectacular dancer," said Bruno Tonioli. "Right on the money, honey! Fantastic!"

It’s that time of year, Dancing With the Stars fans.
Gone are the days of anti-Ryan Lochte audience members rushing the stage, or Marilu Henner tearfully telling partner Derek Hough that he makes her nervous, or Babyface stumbling his way through a painful tango.
Instead, as Dancing prepares to wrap its 23rd season, the ABC competition series is once again nothing but emotional performances, perfect scores and contestants thanking their partners for “going on this journey with me.”

News after his elimination. Babyface and pro partner Allison Holker danced the tango to The Beatles' "Come Together" during week four, Cirque du Soleil week, and received an 18 out of 30. The singer credited his dance partner for making him look good. "Even though Allison made it look like I really had it, inside it was a scary thing for me and it was,"...

Despite the fact that the entire Dancing with the Stars team was busy celebrating Sasha Farber and Emma Slater's live engagement, there were still two eliminations to be announced, and neither one was easy. Then, they were joined by Vanilla Ice and Witney Carson, who tied with Jana Kramer and Calvin Johnson for fourth place in last night's Cirque du Soleil show. Dancing With the Stars certainly knows how to lighten the mood.
Despite the fact that Tuesday’s results show would ultimately send two couples packing, the hour-long broadcast was quite the festive affair — complete with a wedding proposal!
As the show returned from its second commercial break, pros Sasha Farber and Emma Slater — who have been dating for some time — performed a lovely contemporary routine, before host Tom Bergeron gave Farber the floor to propose to Slater. (Thankfully, in front of millions of people, she said yes.)

So when Dancing with the Stars told us it was doing Cirque du Soleil, we were a little cirque du skeptical. We usually associate that show with a level of skill that we might be more likely to see closer to the end of the season, and we also feared that the theme would mean a whole lot of our greatest DWTS pet peeve: too much stuff on the stage. That did happen tonight, but not as often as we feared (and not to the person we feared for the most), but for the most part, the theme was a lot of fun. Tonight's show gave us some really incredible numbers, and even the season's first perfect score! We'll give you one guess as to whose dance got it... Babyface and...

If you missed even a moment of Monday’s Dancing With the Stars, I have excellent news: ABC essentially replayed the entire thing on Tuesday night — and then added another full hour of footage.
It’s one thing for the competition series to stretch its performance shows to 120 minutes, when those are filled with actual content. But a two-hour results show, filled with video recaps and inane mini-concerts and endless footage of Bruno Tonioli shouting from behind the judges’ table — that’s just wrong.

Judging by Dancing With the Stars‘ new standards, Monday’s episode of the ABC series was fantastic, simply because no protestors rushed the stage and derailed the broadcast. (Pretty low bar… but it is a reality competition show, after all.)
Still, even without any Ryan Lochte-related drama, the second installment of Season 23 was genuinely a strong outing. Confidence was higher, routines were more involved and, if Amber Rose and Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s Game of Thrones dance is any indication, the season’s entire set design budget has already been spent.

Fans of Dancing with the Stars may not immediately recognize Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds, 58, but there's zero doubt they're familiar with his music. Edmond's songs have been performed on The Voice, American Idol, Lip Sync Battle and The X Factor, been featured in movies (Waiting to Exhale, Boomerang, The Bodyguard and Soul Food), on TV series (Friends, New Girl, Beavis and Butt-Head) and served as the soundtrack for choreographed numbers on SoYou Think You Can Dance as well as DWTS.
Edmonds will have a leg up on his competitors thanks to the innate sense of rhythm that has catapulted him into R&B superstardom. Here's a few more things you should know about Edmonds before he takes to the floor for DWTS season 23.

Dear Carson “Babyface” Daly,
Now that your Great Annual Movember Beard Experiment is over, can we talk?
I get that The Voice‘s results telecast can be tricky. You’ve got to fill a full hour of airtime with an announcement/sing-off that needn’t last more than 10-15 minutes.

Still, there’s got to be a better strategy than asking freaked-out contestants the kinds of banal questions that would make a county dairy-queen contestant wince with incredulity. C’mon — ask these kids about the first record they ever bought or their willingness to switch...

Angela Bassett will always love Whitney Houston.
"I'm not gonna tear her down," Bassett insists, getting candid with ETonline in a new interview to promote her directorial debut focusing on the life of the late pop-music legend.
In Whitney, premiering Jan. 17 on Lifetime, the actress-turned-director gives the public a peek into the singer's trials and tribulations behind the mic -- but don't go misreading her intentions, she says. Bassett went as far as cutting scenes from the film to avoid tarnishing Houston's legacy.

To say 2014 has been a historic year for WWE, for better or for worse, would an understatement. We’ve witnessed the birth of the WWE Network and the end of The Undertaker’s illustrious undefeated streak at WrestleMania, but one of the year’s most controversial and talked about stories since January has been Cm Punk’s abrupt departure from WWE. Many fans figured it was bound to happen at some point, but no one could have ever imagined that it would have happened so soon. It was difficult at first for many members of WWE Universe to cope with Punk’s absence from WWE TV, but they moved on as quickly as WWE and Punk apparently have.
Nevertheless, it’s rare that you venture to a wrestling website and not see Punk’s name among the headlines even all these months later. Punk has seldom spoke on...
