Pixels was directed by legendary filmmaker Chris Columbus. Sandler stars as Sam Brenner, a former arcade video game champion who unites with other players to save the world from an alien attack. When the aliens misinterpret video footage of classic video games as a declaration of war, they use the games as blueprints for their invasion, leading President Will Cooper (Kevin James) to recruit Sam to engage the aliens in an all-out battle where the fate of the planet is at stake.
Pixels was inspired by Patrick Jean's 2010 short film, and Jean served as an executive producer on the film. The story drew on the nostalgia factor of classic retro arcade games, with Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Space Invaders being licensed for the film. Pixels was released...

Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore was a cult-classic film as soon as it was released. Being heavily credited for kickstarting the actor’s career, the film became formative in the world of comedy. While the project was released almost three decades ago, its impact has left it a timeless piece. So much so, that it is getting a sequel after so many years.

While the news of its sequel should be enough to make the upcoming film a hit, one can never be too careful about a film’s numbers. Since the central theme of the 1996 film was golf, what better way to gain viewership than by getting a golf icon to join its cast?
Paige Spiranac has been confirmed to have a surprise cameo in the film, and it could be excellent for the project’s numbers.

Netflix has just tap, tap, tapped in the first trailer for "Happy Gilmore 2" and honestly, it really does feel like Adam Sandler never left the green, even if his hockey-loving alter-ego looks to be a little rusty.

Netflix on Tuesday released the teaser trailer for the upcoming film Happy Gilmore 2, a direct sequel to Adam Sandler’s 1996 slapstick comedy.
While the original film saw Gilmore (Sandler), a failed ice hockey player turned surprise golf sensation, upset pro Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald) at a major tournament, the sequel sees Gilmore return to the game after a long absence.
“I haven’t swung a club in years,” Gilmore says in the trailer, as he prepares to return to the game to take on some of sport’s current stars.
“We’re not done with golf,” says Virginia Venit (Julie Bowen). “Let them see the Happy I fell in love with.”

Adam Sandler is back on the golf course in the official trailer for “Happy Gilmore 2,” which also reveals the long-awaited comedy sequel will begin streaming July 25 on Netflix.
While Netflix’s logline for “Happy Gilmore 2” keeps the storyline a mystery (it simply reads: “Happy Gilmore is back!”), the new trailer shows Sandler’s character having some doubts about facing off against a few PGA heavyweights. But he returns to the golf course with confidence and all hell breaks loose.
Joining Sandler in the sequel are returning cast members Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald and Ben Stiller, plus newcomers such as Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce and Sandler’s daughters Sadie and Sunny. Real professional golfers John Daly, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau and more also feature in the movie.
Sandler teased the movie last year during an appearance on “The Tonight Show” by saying: “It’s good. We worked hard on the script.

“Hacks” Season 4 is picking up right where Season 3 left off: with Deborah and Ava on the edge of war. The latest installment of the Emmy-winning Max original comedy will premiere with its first two episodes on April 10.

“Blackmail on day one? Not good!” Deborah and Ava’s manager Jimmy (Paul W. Downs) yells. “She’s been doing this for 50 years. You’re not going to beat her at her own game. Nobody beats Deborah.” Maybe, not yet.

It hasn't been 30 years since we saw the original Happy Gilmore released, but it's been close. That film starring Adam Sandler as Happy was released on February 16, 1996. Little did we know at the time that Sandler was just beginning his ascent to being one of the more famous people making funny films.
Somehow, Sandler and the rest of the cast, which featured a number of cameos, made the movie iconic. Maybe it was Sandler's ridiculous swing, which many people have tried to replicate. It was the kind of swing a former hockey player-turned-golfer might do, which is exactly what Sandler's character was.
There has long been discussion of a sequel, and for seemingly just as long, the project has been in the works as part of Sandler's massive Netflix deal. The good news is that Happy Gilmore 2 is ready for release, and Netflix viewers and Happy fans found out...

The release date for Happy Gilmore 2 may have just been quietly revealed. While Netflix has not officially confirmed the date, the long-awaited sequel will reportedly hit the streamer in July.
According to Deadline, Happy Gilmore 2 will be released on Netflix on July 25, 2025. The release date was mentioned in a Feb. 13 about Happy Gilmore 2 star Conor Sherry that went largely unnoticed by the public for almost a month. As always, until Netflix has officially confirmed the release date, fans should take this release date report with a grain of salt. However, it's worth noting that Deadline's July 2025 release date is several months later than the March/April 2025 release window that professional golfer John Daly, who will appear in the sequel, gave back in September 2024.

Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore's second rom-com together is climbing the streaming chart, as 50 First Dates sits at number five on the Prime Video chart. It's a great Valentine's Day date night movie and has plenty of charm and emotion. The movie follows a vet in Hawaii named Henry (Sandler) who falls for Lucy (Barrymore) with short-term memory loss. Basically, she forgets everything that happened the day before when she wakes up.
Her father and brother, played by Blake Clarke and a hilarious Sean Astin, are very protective of Lucy. Since she's "stuck" in the day she lost her memory in an accident, they attempt to play along with the idea that she wasn't in an accident. But love blooms between Henry and Lucy, despite his having to woo her constantly.
The film opened 21 years ago, on Feb. 13, 2004, just in time for Valentine's Day, and became an instant crowd-pleaser...
