Thanks to the proliferation of stan culture and our collective incapability of maintaining an “inside thought,” the internet is a fraught place to be a celebrity. As a result, most of them just don’t do it, leaving their social media presence to a team of interns while they enjoy their money in peace. In the ‘90s and ‘00s, however, nobody knew why it was a bad idea to have a public personal email address or show up on your own fan forums. They also probably hadn’t fully reckoned with the truth often learned rudely that the internet is forever.

Courtney Love announced earlier this month that she plans to make the United Kingdom her new home, as the rock icon and actor criticized President Donald Trump and took aim at what his administration is up to back home, referring to the president and his cronies as “emperor-core.”
Love, 60, has lived in London for five years and plans to commit to life in Blighty, she told the crowd on March 4 at an event at the Royal Geographical Society in London. The rocker is applying for British citizenship and should be an official ex-patriot by the end of 2025, Love told the crowd, who applauded the news.
“I’m really glad I’m here,” she said at the event. “It’s so great to live here. I’m finally getting my British citizenship in six months. I get to be a citizen. I’m applying, man! Can’t get rid of me!

Love went on to slam the Trump administration, saying, “In terms of Trump, and particularly this group…It’s like emperor-core – like, [they’re] wearing million-dollar watches. Emperor-core is going on at Mar-a-Lago. It’s frightening now. It’s like cyanide now.

Courtney Love has announced that she has applied for British citizenship.
The former Hole singer revealed the news on March 4th during a conversation with Todd Almond at London’s Geographical Society, the same event that saw her perform a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone.”
“I’m really glad I’m here,” she said, as reported by the Daily Mail. “It’s so great to live here. I’m finally getting my British citizenship in six months. I get to be a citizen. I’m applying, man! Can’t get rid of me.”
Love has lived in London since 2019 and has previously cited the city’s lifestyle and privacy laws as main reasons for her residence. As for whether her British citizenship was politically motivated, Love didn’t explicitly admit as much, though she did criticize the Trump administration.

Courtney Love surprised attendees at the Royal Geographical Society in London by singing a cover of the Bob Dylan classic “Like a Rolling Stone.”
The Hole singer was at the venue on Tuesday (March 4th) to host a conversation with actor-writer Todd Almond to discuss his new book Slow Train Coming: Bob Dylan’s Girl From the North Country and Broadway’s Rebirth. Following the talk, the pair were joined by an acoustic guitarist as they got up to sing “Like a Rolling Stone,” with Love on lead vocals and Almond backing her up.
The performance came 59 years after Dylan sang the song at his famous 1966 concert at Royal Albert Hall, which is right next door to the Royal Geographical Society. It also came roughly a year after Love joined Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong for a few Cheap Trick and Tom Petty covers in London.

In May 1966, Bob Dylan famously sang “Like a Rolling Stone” at the Royal Albert Hall. Nearly 60 years later, Courtney Love performed the classic right next door.

Donald Trump’s Department of Justice has released new documents that could be helpful in the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein’s case, including his contact list and flight logs. It was a major disappointment for the people, though, as the said file did not reveal any explosive information.

In fact, it did not mention any names of celebrities, politicians, or high-profile figures who are confirmed to have been guests on his private island. All we have for now is a list of Epstein’s contact list whose names are familiar to the public.

Harvey Weinstein’s brother, Bob Weinstein, might need to watch his back while he deals with the lawsuit filed against him.
As promised, President Donald Trump released the “first phase” of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein and his contact list. While the 200-page long binder did not provide any breaking news related to the Epstein List, it did unveil a few big names who had been on his contact list. From Mick Jagger and Michael Jackson to Alec Baldwin and Ivanka Trump, the documents only confirmed what the masses had been suspecting all this time.

One such name on the list was that of Bob Weinstein, film producer and the founder of Dimension Films, as well as the former co-chairman of Miramax Films and The Weinstein Company. Harvey Weinstein, now in jail, filed a lawsuit against his brother and a few others alleging financial fraud and conspiracy.

The Justice Department of the U.S. has released a document relating to the notorious s*x predator Jeffrey Epstein on Thursday evening, February 26th. The list includes a contact list and flight logs. The 200-page document has made no big revelations, but it has mentioned all the celebrities and politicians who were on the contact list of the offender. Attorney General Pam Bondi has claimed that the FBI office in New York will investigate the document further for it to be disclosed to the public.

The Justice Department released the ‘Epstein Binder’, which contained documents like a contact list, flight logs, and other evidence related to s*x predator Jeffrey Epstein. U.S. President Donald Trump once maintained close ties with the disgraced financier. However, Trump’s name did not appear in the contact list released, and there is no proof that he was on the infamous ‘Epstein List’.

The new document contains no significant new information pertaining to the case. The President’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and his former wife, Ivana Trump, were among those listed as Epstein’s contact. However, the document didn’t imply that anyone in the contact list was associated with Epstein’s crimes.

After digging up an old ticket stub for a 1991 Nirvana concert, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk shared a short message about the gig and said he wished Kurt Cobain was still alive to meet their shared grandchild.
The show Hawk attended took place Oct. 20, 1991 at the now-defunct Houston venue, the Vatican (and the ticket, if you can believe it, cost $10). As Hawk noted on Instagram Stories (the post is now gone, but has been screenshotted for posterity), he was in town for a skateboarding competition and went straight from the skatepark to the concert.

The past decade has seen some surprisingly high-profile films cancelled, shelved, axed or scrapped. Here they are – all 10 of the poor things.
Film history is littered with abandoned productions, false starts and projects that have withered on the creative vine. What is relatively unusual, though, is for a movie to get through weeks of shooting only for it to be axed at the editing stage.
When we consider how much work goes into a film production before a camera even rolls – casting, building sets, securing locations – the notion that a film could be scrapped at such a late stage seems almost inconceivable. Particularly given that, in the past, films have survived genuine tragedies – The Twilight Zone, The Crow – and still made their way into cinemas.

‘Girl Interrupted’ to ‘Walk the Line,’ Arianne Phillips Highlights Her Five Favorite Costume Moments

Costume designer Arianne Phillips is 0-3 for Oscar wins to nominations. But her nod this year for James Mangold’s “A Complete Unknown” may be the film that turns her luck around.
Phillips’ talents have made her Tom Ford’s go-to designer (“A Single Man” and “Nocturnal Animals”), as well as Mangold’s, having collaborated with him on “Girl, Interrupted,” “Identity,” “Walk the Line” and “3:10 to Yuma.” She’s styled Courtney Love, Madonna and Lenny Kravitz to name a few, and her resume includes print, fashion and editorial work.
She was well on her way as a costume designer when she started working closely with Madonna, but was told, “You need to either be a stylist or a costume designer; you need to do rock and roll or fashion,” she says. “I chose to keep going,” Phillips says, by not picking one over the other. Exclusive: Nicholas Celozzi, a co-writer and producer on the Barry Levinson JFK flick Assassination, has filed a lawsuit against the film’s financier and production outfit 308 US.
Originally filed by Celozzi in a Los Angeles County court in November, the suit will go before a judge in April who will decide whether the legal action can proceed.
Celozzi, an LA-based producer, accuses 308 of multiple contractual breaches. The company contests those claims and has filed a motion to dismiss and has provided a comment below.
The suit is messy and largely born out of several complicated production agreements signed before Levinson’s involvement in the project. April’s hearing will be the latest stage in the months-long legal standoff. The meat and potatoes are as follows.
Assassination is the latest incarnation of a project launched by Celozzi about claims that his great uncle, Chicago mob boss Sam Giancana, arranged the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The classic Mary Jane shoe is easily identifiable: a low-cut, closed leather shoe with a strap over the top of the foot and fastened by a buckle, a button, or Velcro. It has a thin outsole or very low heel.
Also called bar or doll shoes, Mary Janes are usually associated with children’s school or formal footwear. However, they’ve also captivated adults, especially women, over the decades—so much so that they’ve even been enshrined in pop culture. Who could forget the moment Carrie Bradshaw, in Sex and the City, squealed with delight in the Vogue accessories closet, holding a pair of Manolo Blahnik Mary Janes, exclaiming, “I thought these were an urban shoe myth!”

In the fall of 1990, inside a fully functional second floor magic shop located above a methadone clinic on Hollywood Boulevard, Bryan Rabin made his first splash on the Los Angeles nightlife scene (alongside his partner, the late actor Jimmy Medina) with a traveling, if extralegal, after hours club called The Lounge. “It was the Wild West. We’d just drive around at night and look for spots. I was 20 years old, full of moxie, and we’d just tell people we wanted to throw a bar mitzvah in their space,” recalls Rabin, noting the club migrated from photography and film studios to empty lofts and attracted everyone from Billy Idol to Thierry Mugler and Wolfgang Puck to dance there. “We moved every week to keep away from the police and had to call or fax everyone the day of each party.”

Nirvana is one of the most important bands of the turn of the 20th century, not only because of the mythology of its band members, but because of their influence on rock, grunge, and music in general afterward, and yet there's never been a true biopic about the band. Music biopics are the coin of the Hollywood realm and every time one is released, it always seems to be a hit, critically and financially. Unsurprisingly, filling a movie with hit songs sung by superstars is an easy recipe for success.
When exactly to release a music biopic can be a tricky proposition though. Bands and singers deserving of a biopic are often still alive and even performing, making the creative process that much more challenging. For a band like Nirvana, who is synonymous with 90s rock and the grunge movement, there will always be several hoops to jump through, from...

Wicked star Ariana Grande made an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on Thursday (December 5), and the singer was moved to tears when she was presented with an unexpected showbiz artifact.
It's common knowledge that host Drew Barrymore is the definition of Hollywood royalty, and that her childhood as a very young star in the spotlight was far from easy:

Courtney Love has shared more details about her upcoming solo album, including its collaborators — both the ones who said yes and the one who, apparently, ghosted her.
As she explained in a new interview with The Standard, Love didn’t “intend” for the album to be so collaborative. She’s choosing to keep most of its contributors close to the vest, but she did confirm Michael Stipe’s involvement. “Stipe mentioned our collaboration to The New York Times, so I can say it’s gorgeous,” Love explained. “I fell down weeping hearing his voice – it’s better than ever! I thought I knew the outcome, but I’m still the grasshopper while Michael is the sensei.”
She also confirmed that that Echo & the Bunnymen’s Will Sergeant plays on the album. “Will Sergeant, my favorite guitarist on earth, from my favorite band agreed to work with me!,” Love said. “He’s such an icon.

Buddyhead, the LA music website and record label, is getting the documentary treatment.
The group, which was created by Travis Keller and The Icarus Line’s Aaron North in 1998, was infamous for its brash attitude in the late ‘90s and early 2000s with pranks such as stealing Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst’s baseball caps and auctioning them off for a rape charity and vandalizing The Strokes’ tour bus.

On The Lash: The Buddyhead Movie will be co-directed by Keller and Cardamone and produced by Fairey and James.

Batman & Robin director Joel Schumacher's conception of the fourth entry in the Batman franchise looked very different, and it would have reshaped the DC Universe. Instead of Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy and Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze, the filmmaker sought Nicolas Cage to play Dr. Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow. The sequel would have been called Batman Unchained, and its script was penned by Mark Protosevich, who wrote I Am Legend and Thor. In addition to Scarecrow, Batman Unchained would have adapted Harley Quinn for the big screen, this time reimagined as the Joker's daughter who wanted revenge for his death.
Previous antagonists Joker, Catwoman, the Riddler, Two-Face, and the Penguin were going to appear in an effort to tie the Tim Burton and Schumacher films together more cohesively. Unfortunately, Schumacher and Protosevich's original vision wouldn't see the light of day. The director hoped to take the franchise in...

Hosting "Saturday Night Live" is one of the most exclusive gigs in show business. Spanning 50 years, the late night sketch comedy show averages around 20 episodes each season, with only a few exceptions, giving us exactly 970 episodes of "SNL" so far (and counting). That might sound like a lot, but it's relatively few, especially when you consider that the show has a handful of favorites who have hosted the show multiple times. In fact, the top three actors who have hosted "SNL" the most during the show's run are spread across 45 episodes by themselves, which is basically two full seasons.
Not only is hosting "SNL" a tough job to land, but it's also not easy when you get it, which is why plenty of the biggest stars haven't done it. "Avengers" and "Captain America" franchise star Chris Evans even admitted to being terrified of potentially hosting the show. The live nature...

Jason Statham's first action role was in Ghosts of Mars, which was itself a stealth remake of a John Wayne Western. Released in 2001, Ghosts of Mars marked the final John Carpenter movie for a decade, with the legendary filmmaker taking a long break after feeling burnt out with the industry. The film itself is a fusion of sci-fi, action and horror, with a dash of Western thrown into the pot. Ghosts of Mars was also one of a run of films set on Mars during this period, including Val Kilmer's Red Planet and Mission to Mars.
The movie feels like a mixtape of Carpenter's previous work; Ghosts of Mars takes the cop shop setting of Assault on Precinct 13, the paranoia of The Thing with a main character who feels very much like Kurt Russell's Snake Plissken. There was even a debunked rumor Ghosts of Mars was almost the third Escape From.

Alex Ross Perry’s 2019 backstage rock drama Her Smell is bookmarked by cutaways to faux-documentary video footage, capturing its fictional 1990s alternative group in moments of camera-friendly bliss. Placed next to the emotional apocalypse that comprises most of the rest of the film’s runtime, the supposedly “real” Behind the Music-style footage can’t help but feel like an obfuscation of the band’s true story.
Perry avoids such pitfalls with Pavements, a docu-fiction about indie rock titans Pavement. The band’s legendary status, quickly achieved in the early ’90s indie underground, has always felt somewhat at odds with the sense of shaggy self-effacement that their critics often mistook for a conscious lack of effort. Wisely anticipating that the traditional rock-doc format would be a poor fit for such a group, Perry has crafted a far less easily classifiable tribute.

"Batman & Robin" was so panned for its campiness that Warner Bros. had no choice but to pivot to a dark and gritty reboot, resulting in Christopher Nolan's acclaimed "Dark Knight" trilogy. This is filmmaking mythology almost as well-known as Batman's own origin of alleyway orphaning. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige even calls "Batman & Robin" one of the most important superhero movies, for it taught studios that fans wouldn't settle for schlock. In hindsight, it's almost unbelievable that "Batman & Robin" and "Batman Begins" premiered only eight years apart; the Dark Knight's fall didn't last long!
There were abandoned plans for director Joel Schumacher to make a third Batman film, though. "Batman Unchained," to be penned by Mark Protosevich (rather than previous screenwriter Akiva Goldsman) was supposedly going to be "darker." The villains would've been Jonathan Crane/The Scarecrow and Harley Quinn, which makes sense. At the time,...

I love campy teen fodder as much as the next horror fan, but sometimes the film we buy a ticket to see is not exactly what we were given in the trailer…A testosterone-fueled movie about underground fighting might actually be a dark satire that deconstructs masculinity, like Fight Club. Quirky romantic comedies end up being soul-crushing melancholic dramas like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. And sometimes you have to find out the hard way that “reimagined classic” is marketing speak for, “this is a musical.” But one misunderstood gem forever stands out to me for being a powerful film ahead of its time. This is a call from Donald Trump to Foo Fighters.
A spokesman for the ex-potus and current GOP presidential nominee hit back at the multiplatinum band today after Dave Grohl and company complained about their hit “My Hero” being played at a weekend rally without the band’s consent.
“It’s Times Like These facts matter, don’t be a Pretender,” Trump’s rep Steven Cheung wrote on X, copping the titles of two Foo tracks.
“My Hero” blared on the Pa during a rally with new endorsee Robert Kennedy Jr. in the swing state of Arizona on Friday, and the band made its distaste — and lack of approval — known soon afterward. Only trouble is, the Trump camp said it has licensed use of that song and so many others from performing-rights company BMI.

‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&r) spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out with revelations and lies.
So Friday, August 23 is basically a typical day in Genoa City.
Chealsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will come clean with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). He already figured it out, but hearing it come from her will destroy him.
As for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), he’ll lie when Sally Spectra (Courtney Love) asks him. But since her and Billy are talking and Chelsea came clean, we doubt this will end well.
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) still isn’t taking her medication as Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) is still hanging around.
He’s trying to help her, rather her subconscious is. We think this is why she may not be taking her meds.
We’ve got the popcorn ready, so let’s dive in!

A frank and stylishly made tale of coming of age and sexual frenzy in New Mexico, “National Anthem” commands your attention well before its centerpiece scene: Charlie Plummer, in a red sequined dress and grungy platinum-blond wig seemingly torn from the lookbook of mid-‘90s Courtney Love, performing drag to Alannah Myles’ whiskey-soaked power ballad “Black Velvet.”
The actor, a fair-haired 25-year-old so reedy he’s liable to get swept up with the tumbleweeds billowing across the desert, fulfills the promise of his breakout performance as another sort of cowboy in Andrew Haigh’s “Lean on Pete.” Dylan’s (Plummer) drag turn in this powerhouse moment is such a total 180 from the repressed construction worker we see in the opening moments, shouldering the burdens of caring for his little brother and sauced single mom. That’s because his American dream and sexual identity have been totally shattered by a spirited community of queer rodeo performers.

Shel Bachrach, a top insurance broker in Hollywood whose behind-the-scenes work helped movies like Cliffhanger, The People vs. Larry Flynt and Ali get made, died Monday in Palm Springs, a publicist announced. He was 80.
Bachrach provided financial protection and mitigated risks associated with such potential problems as drug-related filming delays (think Courtney Love in The People vs. Larry Flynt), actors who pilot aircraft (Harrison Ford) and directors who could be sidelined by age issues (David Lean, for his last movie, A Passage to India) or medical issues (John Huston, who battled emphysema).
Bachrach arranged risk management on stunt-filled films — if a star is injured during production, a movie could grind to a halt — and wrote policies for magicians and “Big Cat” performers in Las Vegas and for game shows like The Price Is Right, where contestants can win great sums of money.

Empire's finale was rushed, leaving loose ends and a confusing plot due to poor editing decisions by Fox. The show had the potential for a more satisfying conclusion, but a last-minute re-edit marred its legacy. Despite the disappointment, a spinoff centered around Cookie remains a possibility, as Taraji P. Henson's return to the franchise is still a fan wish.
After four years, I still can't believe how Fox handled the Empire series finale. At one point, the hip-hop drama towered above the competition on broadcast TV. It attracted guest stars like Courtney Love, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, and Snoop Dog. Even though Empire reached success, it ended up with a terrible climax due to various factors. When Linda Perry started allowing director Don Hardy to film her day-to-day existence, she didn’t realize the cameras would arrive just in time for her life to fall apart. Perry is the singer-songwriter-producer behind 4 Non Blondes’ “What’s Up,” Pink’s “Get This Party Started,” and Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful,” among other hits — and at first, Hardy was filming her artistic process as she began exploring the idea of writing for herself again. Then her mother got sick and eventually died, and Perry herself faced a diagnosis of breast cancer.

Swift utilizes 50 truckers to transport staging and costumes and 15 backup dancers, six of whom are male.
Their names are Jan Ravnik, Sam McWilliams, Kameron Saunders, Whyley Yoshimura, Raphael Thomas and Kevin Scheitzbach.
Ravnik, in particular, has had fans’ tongues wagging.
Born in Slovenia, Ravnik is a dancer and choreographer and has been named the Best Dancer of Slovenia twice. In 2018, he relocated to L.A. and has worked with Bruno Mars, Lewis Capaldi and Mariah Carey. He joined Swift’s tour in January 2023.
While traveling, Swift has gotten close to these dancers and confides in them as friends, even taking advice from them about her relationship with Travis Kelce.
Swift and her team train for hours a day, but when they get a break, they explore cities, beaches and nightclubs together.

What really happened during the 48 hours leading up to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy — at least according to mob bosses — is heading to the big screen in the upcoming film “November 1963: The Killing of a President.”
The mob’s version of events were passed down to Chicago mob boss Sam Giancana’s nephew, Nicholas Celozzi, by Sam’s brother, the late Joseph “Pepe” Giancana, who drove around with his brother Sam during those two days.

Celozzi, whose film producing and writing credits include “The Legitimate Wiseguy,” “The Class” and...
