Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday and Jason X will be released on 4K Ultra HD on May 20 from Arrow Video.

Both the theatrical and unrated cuts of Jason Goes to Hell have been restored in 4K with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible). Original lossless stereo and DTS-hd 5.1 surround audio options are included for both.

The 1993 ninth installment in the Friday the 13th franchise is directed by Adam Marcus from a script by Dean Lorey and Jay Huguely.

A documentary covering the 1993 Friday the 13th sequel Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (Watch It Here – OWN It Here) has been in the works for quite a while, and about eight months ago Jason Goes to Hell director Adam Marcus took to social media to give a promising update on its progress, saying that it was about to go through the color timing and sound mixing stages of post-production. It has been longer than expected, but now Marcus has given another update, letting fans know that the color timing and sound mixing are finally happening this month.

Before the week began, Marcus wrote, “The doc just went through legal and has been approved. Which means we are officially Locked! This means the film is completed from an editing stage and we’ve taken all the steps to ensure that the film meets all the standards to be released.

Despite already having a “Final Chapter” five movies earlier, Jason Voorhees is once again killed, allowing the residents of Crystal Lake to relax for the first time in a decade. But, of course, just because his body was destroyed, it doesn’t mean the hockey-masked murderer is done murdering.

Similar to how some are saying Halloween Ends isn’t really a Halloweeen movie and complaining about Michael Myers’ noticeable absence, one could make the same claim about Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday, which barely counts as an entry in the franchise and also features a title killer who sits out the majority of his own film.

Exclusive: A growing dust-up over classic outer space hero Buck Rogers isn’t a fight over rights, and it won’t be warming up to become one if Legendary Entertainment has anything to say about it.

Dank Farrik! The previous episode rather sucked, and we were hoping for some upward movement in The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 3: "The Heiress." Well, we got it.

Plenty of action abounds. But more importantly -- and more interestingly (as far as this critic is concerned) -- we have plot progression; this is the way!

But the episode's meat surprisingly does not follow any obstacle-ridden aspects of the Frog Lady egg journey from The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 2: "The Passenger."

In fact, the continuing plot from that episode ends rather suddenly within the first couple minutes.

Of course, the larger arc involves Din seeking others of his kind along with any of the Jedi to whom he might return The Child.

But at least we not only get to see a little more of our new favorite Frog Lady, but we are introduced to Froggy Husband Guy.

Casting

Malcolm Barrett, Patrice Covington (“The Color Purple”), Kimberly Hébert Gregory (“Vice Principals”), Rebecca Naomi Jones (“The Big Sick”), Sanai Victoria (“Black-ish”) have been cast alongside Cynthia Erivo in National Geographic’s “Genius: Aretha.” Also, Emmy, Golden Globe and BAFTA TV award-winner Anthony Hemingway joined the anthology series as executive producer and pilot director.

Quinn Copeland, Lauren Donzis, Oliver De Los Santos and Noah Cottrell have been cast as series regulars in Peacock’s “Punky Brewster” pilot. From Ucp and Universal Television, the multi-camera/hybrid continuation of the ’80s sitcom follows Punky (Soleil Moon Frye), now a single mother of three trying to get her life back on track when she meets Izzy (Copeland), a young girl who reminds her a lot of her younger self.

Nikki Amuka-Bird (Quarry) is set as a lead opposite Hugh Laurie, Zach Woods, Suzy Nakamura, Rebecca Front and Josh Gad in Armando Iannucci’s HBO space comedy pilot Avenue 5 (tentative title).

Created, written and executive produced by Iannucci, Avenue 5 is set in the future, mostly in space.

Amuka-Bird will play Rav Mulcair, head of Judd Mission Control on Earth. She’s extremely intelligent but frustrated and exhausted by lack of control. Intense and slightly odd, Rav is racked with guilt over having sent her two best friends into space in an attempt to fix their failing marriage.

BAFTA-nominated for her critically praised performance in the BBC drama adaptation of Zadie Smith’s Nw, Amuka-Bird next will be seen in a starring role in BBC One’s miniseries Gold Digger, slated for release this year. She was recently seen as a lead in the BBC drama Hard Sun, from the makers of Luther.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas on basic cable. Once synonymous with science fiction, the phrase ‘That Buck Rogers Stuff’ once called to mind everything the average person thought about Science Fiction - ray guns, rocket ships and robots. Certainly in the 1928, when the then-christened Anthony Rogers made his debut, he was something pretty unique in Sci-Fi - the space adventurer as swash-buckler. Given the nickname ‘Buck’ by John F. Dille, the novel, Armageddon, was adapted into the comic strips in 1929 and then in 1932, Buck Rogers became the first major Science Fiction radio drama. 1939 saw Larry ‘Buster’ Crabbe take on the role for a 12-part serial. All of this is to say that Buck Rogers was around for quite a while before many people of my generation discovered him.

I just discovered (via io9) the fan-produced series Star Trek Continues, which intends to follow the crew of the USS Enterprise across the fourth and fifth years of its five-year mission. But to call it “fan-produced” is misleading. That makes it sound smaller and less incredible than it is. This isn’t a reflection of or an homage to something greater — this is Star Trek. This is so pitch-perfect a re-creation that it gave me chills, then it made me cry tears of geek joy, and then I forgot I was watching anything other than Star Trek. The sets and the costumes and the props are perfect. The lighting and the direction and the pacing is perfect. It’s even shot in the old-fashioned TV aspect ratio of 4:3. I felt like I was watching episodes from the 60s that I had somehow missed.

Since the finish of BBC's extra bleak crime drama "Luther" in July, many have been wondering more about what comes next for the franchise.

Creator Neil Cross has previously stated on numerous occasions that there have been plans for a movie, but wouldn't say if it is going to be a prequel or a sequel.

Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Cross finally confirmed that it will be a prequel. The script is done and he hopes to get the film made next year.

Cross says: "It will follow his [Luther's] career in the earlier days, when he is still married to Zoe, and the final scene in the film is the first of the initial TV series." That scene being the death of a serial paedophile Henry Madsen (Anton Saunders) whom Luther failed to save from a fall off a catwalk in a chemical factory.

Let's get this out of the way straight off the bat - Luther is very, very silly. If you're looking for gritty realism, then Idris Elba's hulking maverick cop ain't for you. But if you're not a telly snob, then Luther - three series in - remains enormous fun.

At times, this series opener takes on more of a cartoonish sensibility than ever before, but that's not a criticism - the killer sliding out from under his unsuspecting victim's bed in the opening sequence is utterly ludicrous, but an undeniably effective play on childhood fears. Luther's entire remit is firmly re-established in that one fantastic moment.

The 'slasher movie' vibe is stronger here than it's ever been before on Luther - the scenes in the hapless couple's attic could have been plucked from a Halloween movie.

But again, what might sound like a criticism isn't intended as one...

Luther is finally returning to BBC One - but, as ever, it's far from smooth-sailing for London's most imposing copper. Relentlessly pursued by a ruthless ex-cop, Dci John Luther (Idris Elba) finds even his closest friends turning against him, including DS Justin Ripley (Warren Brown).

It's been more than a quarter century since the "Silver Spoons" cast shared the small screen together, but Ricky Schroder, Joel Higgins, Erin Gray and Alfonso Ribeiro gathered to look back on the '80s hit on "Today" this week (above).

"Silver Spoons," which aired on NBC from September 25, 1982 to March 4, 1987, made Schroder a star, but Higgins said he never let it get to his head. "There were no egos involved. Nobody was a diva. If anybody had a right to be, it was Rick and he never, never was," the now retired actor said on "Today."

"It was absolutely perfect," Gray, who has a few thriller movies coming out soon, added of working with her former "Silver Spoons" co-stars. "The best five years of my life. Loved them at the beginning; loved them at the end. Can't say that too often."

Luther will return to BBC One this summer.

Idris Elba will reprise his role as haunted cop John Luther in the crime drama's third series.

Warren Brown (Justin Ripley), Dermot Crowley (Schenk), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Erin Gray) and Michael Smiley (Benny Silver) will all return for the new episodes.

Ruth Wilson will also reprise her role of Luther's uneasy accomplice Alice Morgan, while Resident Evil's Sienna Guillory will join the cast as a new love interest for the detective.

Series creator Neil Cross has expressed his desire to produce both a Luther movie and a spinoff show featuring the character of Alice once the third series has aired.

An exact return date for Luther is yet to be confirmed.

There was a "Silver Spoons" reunion earlier in March 2013. Ricky Schroder, Erin Gray and Joel Higgins reunited at the Friars Club's “So You Think You Can Roast!?” event.

"Silver Spoons" ran from 1982-1987 and launched Schroder to TV stardom. On the series, Schroder played Ricky Stratton, the son of millionaires. Higgins and Gray played his parents, Kate Summers Stratton and Edward Stratton III for the show's five seasons. According to Gray, this was the first time the three of them have gathered since the series wrapped.

Dallas Comic Con: Sci-Fi Expo goes Back To The Future, with three actors from...

Flashback Weekend is the Windy City's largest and longest running horror film convention, and for its 10th Anniversary the con is pulling out all the stops. It runs from August 10th through 12th, and we have all the info you need right here!

Fans in attendance have the opportunity to see almost three dozen of their favorite genre icons and attend autograph sessions and film panel discussions.
