As work continues on Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, we now have a first look at Spider-Man: No Way Home and Dune star Zendaya on set in full costume.

We don't yet know who she will play in this retelling of the epic poem composed by Homer in the 8th Century, but the actor was spotted alongside Matt Damon (who is looking more than a little worse for wear). The Bourne star has been aged up and is rocking a pretty impressive beard, a sign perhaps that this scene is from later in the movie.

Marvel spent five and a half slow hours revealing the massive cast for “Avengers: Doomsday” and still did not have the time to include some fan-favorite characters.

It had been teased that Marvel was going to have a reveal that would sweep the Internet on Wednesday morning. That happened in the form of a slow panning of cast chairs revealing the names of the stars for the next big Avengers film. Among the biggest names were Marvel mainstays Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Mackie, and more. They also revealed a number of iconic members from the Fox-era X-Men movies would star including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, James Marsden, and Rebecca Romijn.

Obviously, not every character was going to appear in “Avengers: Doomsday” – many who appeared in “Avengers: Infinity War” sat out most of “Avengers: Endgame” or vice versa – but below are ten characters that really made sense to appear in the upcoming team-up film.

The newest Apple TV+ show, The Studio, tackles these ideas with comedic insight. Seth Rogen leads the show as the new studio executive of the fictional continental studios, and the series finds him talking to actors and directors, while finding new and creative voices, though he still tries to make his studio profitable.

The Studio starts at the end of March. It's certainly worth marking on your calendar, as the series is already certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, with 97%. Though The Odyssey is Christopher Nolan's next big-budget blockbuster, it appears the Oscar-winning director is running his upcoming adaptation like it's on a much smaller scale. One member of Nolan's star-studded cast claims the British helmer's production operates "like an indie film."

Speaking with MSNBC's Morning Joe (via Collider), Leguizamo opened up about principal photography for The Odyssey, which began last month in Morocco. Though the film is one of Nolan's priciest, Leguizamo spoke of the director's more humble approach to the production. “Dude, you know the thing is, okay, he’s got a crazy budget. Peacock has found its Pamela Voorhees for the highly anticipated “Friday the 13th” prequel series, “Crystal Lake.” Linda Cardellini will play Jason Voorhees mom in the A24 original.

Last month, it was leaked that Cardellini was reportedly in talks to play the role, which was originally being eyed by Charlize Theron. First known to most audiences for her role in “Freaks and Geeks,” Cardellini starred in the Netflix original from Liz Feldman “Dead To Me,” a role which earned her an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She also worked with Feldman on Netflix’s “No Good Dead,” and is also known for her work on “Bloodline,” “Mad Men” and “ER.”

Pamela Voorhees initially appeared in the first “Friday the 13th” movie in 1980 and was portrayed by Betsy Palmer. A cook at Camp Crystal Lake, Pamela worked at the camp the year that her son drowned.

Apple TV+’s The Studio aims to give audiences a peek behind the Hollywood curtain. Funnily enough, it was reported years ago that Seth Rogen had pitched an idea at HBO that pre-dated Entourage, but would be very similar in navigating the glamour of showbiz and would also intend to show some inside baseball on the film industry in Hollywood. Rogen gets to do it in a different fashion with his new TV series and, just like Entourage, there are cameos aplenty by a large number of people playing a version of themselves.

The Studio has revealed its full guest cast for the Hollywood sendup series co-created by Seth Rogen.

Rogen — also the lead actor, writer, director and executive producer on the Apple series about moviemaking — has taken to his director’s chair to announce the many guest stars in the comedy, which had promised A-list cameos in every episode. In The Studio, Rogen stars as Matt Remick, a newly appointed (fictional) head of the embattled Continental Studios who finds himself forever fighting and debating with his fellow creatives and demanding actors over whether art and commerce can coexist in Hollywood.

John Lithgow has reflected on working with director Christopher Nolan on Interstellar. Lithgow starredwith Matthew McConaughey and Timothée Chalamet in the 2014 space epic.

Lithgow recently spoke to Variety about the highlights of his legendary career, which have included receiving two Academy Award nominations for his performances in 1982's The World According to Garp and 1983's Terms of Endearment. The character of 'Clea', the main love interest and disciple of 'Doctor Strange', was created by writer Stan Lee and illustrator, co-plotter Steve Ditko, debuting in Marvel Comics "Strange Tales" #126 (November 1964).

Maternally related to the inter-dimensional 'Faltine' race of energy beings, Clea is the daughter of 'Umar' and niece of 'Dormammu'.

Disney's Snow White has become one of the most talked-about films of 2025, and likely not for the reasons anyone expected. The film is the long-awaited remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the very first full-length animated film that Walt Disney produced and helped launch the Disney film empire that endures today. Disney’s live-action Snow White hits theaters March 21 with Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, but it’s not the first movie in recent years to mine the classic fairy tale. In 2012, director Tarsem Singh’s Mirror Mirror starred Lily Collins as Snow White and Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen in an updated version of the Brothers Grimm tale, previously told in the 1937 animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

The 2012 film debuted amid a wave of fairy tale reboots, following 2011’s Amanda Seyfried-led Red Riding Hood and coming two months before Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman, which starred Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth.

Singh remembers pressure for his project to beat Universal’s movie to the punch. “We don’t have nearly their budget and their machine, so we have to come before them,” the director tells The Hollywood Reporter of his mindset.

Disney’s live-action remake of Snow White has been creating a ruckus among fans and over the internet ever since it was first announced. The decision to cast Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen and their subsequent controversy (Zegler’s “weird weird” comments and Gadot being an Israeli actress) further spelled doom for the film.

Well, the film is in theatres, and the results are right in front of us. Fans have unanimously declared Snow White as one of the worst live-action Disney movies ever to be made. While surprisingly, critics have not been as unkind to the film and Zegler, Gadot has received some of the worst critical reviews.

Snow White has been a contentious film since its early days.

This spring is treating Snow White fans very well. With Disney's Snow White live-action movie out in theaters, a different film based on the beloved fairy tale is heading to streaming.

In 2012, Chris Hemsworth made his debut in the fantasy action-adventure movie Snow White and the Huntsman, taking a different twist on the beloved fairy tale. After some controversy with director Rupert Sanders and lead actress Kristen Stewart, the sequel put Hemsworth in the center of the story. 2016's The Huntsman: Winter's War is now heading to Peacock on Apr. 1 after being critically panned and becoming a major commercial flop.

Though acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer is synonymous with crafting music for the directors of several high-profile directors, his work alongside Oscar-winning director Christopher Nolan remains among the most recognized throughout his career. Though Zimmer holds no hard feelings towards Nolan years after their creative breakup, he admits the prominent filmmaker feels like "life or death."

Speaking with Deadline, Zimmer addressed his long-time working relationship with Nolan, who he collaborated with on seven feature films, including The Dark Knight trilogy and Interstellar. Zimmer and Nolan's creative partnership ended when Zimmer passed on composing music for Tenet in favor of Denis Villeneuve's Dune, initially causing friction between them before they patched things up. Zimmer confirmed the two remain "good friends" and hasn't ruled out a reunion for a future project. However, Zimmer admitted working with him was a “life or death situation … our relationship has always been like this.”

Theron made her MCU debut as the character in the Sam Raimi-directed sequel's post-credits scene. She only makes a brief appearance and isn't actually named, but after convincing the Master of the Mystic Arts (Benedict Cumberbatch) to accompany her to the Dark Dimension in order to fix an Incursion he caused, it always seemed pretty clear that Marvel Studios had big plans in place for the niece of the Dread Dormammu.

The Odyssey star John Leguizamo has revealed that Christopher Nolan is taking an unexpected approach to his mega-budget swords and sandals epic. The actor, who recently joined the star-studded cast of the mythic action feature, touched on what it was like to work with Nolan during an appearance on MSNBC's Morning Joe show. He compared the director's methods to those of "an indie filmmaker," though he acknowledged that the difference is that Nolan has access to "crazy money" to bring his vision to the big screen.

"You know the thing is… he's got a crazy budget, it's not small, but he runs it like an indie film. Because he's not doing it by committee, he's not doing it by what the studio says. He's like an indie filmmaker, but with crazy money."

For the first time, a Christopher Nolan film is stirring up something unusual among the people, and that is… doubt. Well, maybe Tenet had some of that too, but this feels different. His latest project, The Odyssey, has everyone curious about how it is actually going to end up, especially with a cast featuring Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, and more.

As he ventures to the ancient Roman Empire for this one, some fans are wondering how his signature mind-bending storytelling will fit into the grand scope of a historical epic. But if there’s one thing to remember, it’s that at his core, Nolan is still an indie filmmaker, he just happens to play with massive budgets, and he’s not one to simply bow to studio demands.

Dexter: Resurrection gets a new update, revealing that a Dexter: New Blood actor will be returning. Coming eight years after the divisive Dexter season 8 finale, New Blood picks up with Michael C. Hall's titular serial killer living under a new identity in Iron Lake, a town in upstate New York. Though the limited series was seemingly positioned as the end of the saga, it was subsesquently confirmed that Hall would return in the Dexter: Resurrection sequel show, which is set to feature a mix of new and familiar faces from across the franchise when it premieres this summer.

Deadline now reports that actor David Magidoff will return in Dexter: Resurrection. Magidoff played Iron Lake Police Department officer Teddy Reed in New Blood and will be reprising this role, though the extent of the character's involvement in the sequel show remains unknown.

Review: Snow White has to be one of the most ridiculously controversial movies in recent memory. It’s become something of a political hot potato, with its detractors claiming it would be overly “woke” based on some clumsy quotes attributed to the movie’s star. Whatever those quotes might have promised, there’s nothing particularly incendiary about this retelling of the Disney classic, and there’s certainly nothing particularly woke about it, with it hitting most of the same beats as the original. However, that doesn’t mean it’s good either.

Some more photos from the set of Christopher Nolan's adaptation of The Odyssey have been doing the rounds online, and this time we have another look at Matt Damon's Odysseus as he prepares to enter the cave of the Cyclops known as Polyphemus.

Filming for these scenes is taking place at Nestor’s Cave in Greece, and we have heard that a 6x6m mechanical animatronic puppet of Polyphemus was created for the sequence.

In the original story, Polyphemus was the son of Poseidon, god of the sea, and the nymph Thoösa. Odysseus and his men were captured by the cyclops when they were cast ashore on the coast of Sicily. Polyphemus devoured several of Odysseus' companions before the legendary hero managed to blind the giant...

After the release of Avengers: Endgame, the Marvel Cinematic Universe slowly started to build towards something even bigger and more ambitious in the form of a multiversal crossover. Suddenly, the characters we knew and loved weren't alone anymore as they could team up with iconic heroes from alternate realities without previous warning. But opening such a huge door could have unforeseen repercussions as you never know what (or rather who) could be waiting on the other side. In the worst of cases, you could find a villain disguised as a former friend.

Doctor Doom is coming, and while fans' excitement is through the roof to finally see him, we also have more questions than answers about his upcoming appearance. For starters: Victor wasn't supposed to be the big bad of the Multiverse Saga, so how is Marvel hoping to shine the spotlight on him without completely throwing away the story they already have?...

The trailer of Ballerina aka From the World of John Wick: Ballerina had me glued to the screen as I watched Ana de Armas step into the spotlight as Eve Macarro. She plays a ballerina-assassin who is out for vengeance, as we see the actress in an action-packed preview that looks quite promising.

But as I rewatch the trailer, something feels off! I’ll admit that it looks undeniably stylish but it lacks the intensity that made Atomic Blonde such a standout movie. So while the trailer has floored me, I can’t help but wonder if it’s missing the grit that would elevate it to a different level.

Grey's Anatomystar Ellen Pompeo has opened up about the pay disparity between herself and former co-star Patrick Dempsey. From the mind of Shonda Rhimes, Grey’s Anatomy debuted in 2005 and quickly became one of the most popular medical dramas on television. As the protagonist and namesake of the ABC series, Pompeo's Dr. Meredith Grey remained the leading professional at Grey Sloan Memorial before departing after 19 seasons. Dempsey played Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd, Meredith’s love interest, until his departure in season 11. In season 21, Pompeo only appears sporadically to maintain her focus on other projects.

On an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast (via Variety), Pompeo recalled asking creator Rhimes for the same salary as Dempsey during contract negotiations. The actor acknowledged that Dempsey was a more recognizable actor when the show first started, having been cast several times in TV pilots with notable appearances on Will & Grace and Once & Again.
