- DirectorCorey AllenStarsShanna ReedJohn MartinLuAnne PonceA teen girl is stalked and harassed by a perverted man ten years older than she is, but despite help from her family, there's little the police can do to get rid of him. This has got to be my favorite. The acting is great from all involved; they paint a very real picture of a family involved in this and the acting by the stalker is creepy and he's too persistent for his own good. Great justice as well!
- DirectorReza BadiyiStarsJoanna CassidyJere BurnsDennis BurkleyA college student is stalked by a disturbed older man.Another really good stalker film from the 90's; it's not overdone and the characters seem to do what you'd want them to do, especially closer to the end. Good cast all around!
- DirectorMichael SwitzerStarsRichard ThomasBrooke ShieldsViveka DavisA beautiful young computer technician starting off her career in Silicon Valley during the 1980s is stalked and harassed by a deranged colleague with a twisted obsession.I've rated this as high as I can still keeping in mind that it is quite dark, as it's based on a true story ( and keeps quite true to that from what I've read) which makes it even scarier. Brooke is amazing and Richard Thomas makes you unable to watch The Waltons for a while after this. Very good drama and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. Spoiler: *Quite dark and deals with a shooting scenario*
- DirectorPaul SchneiderStarsEva LaRueAdam J. HarringtonGina ChiarelliA detective investigates the brutal murder of her pregnant sister and sets out to find the missing baby.Another well done movie that crosses several storylines and ties them together to find a solution that you don't expect. Really well acted!
- DirectorTom ShellStarsNatasha HenstridgeMarguerite MoreauJason GerhardtA woman interprets a kiss at a high school reunion as an invitation to follow her ex across the country and supplant his current family. This is just a crazy ride all around. It's one of those that you love to watch because it's almost a guilty pleasure. Though the main character is a total loose cannon and it's kind of fun to see what she's going to do next. The end is also highly charged with a ton of nail biting action.
- DirectorJoseph L. ScanlanStarsAriana RichardsSusan BlakelyWilliam BumillerWhen a young track star is raped by her coach, no one but her mother will believe her story.A classic I remember from my early teens, it speaks about a very sensitive subject. You will be rooting for Mickie to get her justice the whole time. Still all too relevant today, it will have you engaged until the very end.
- DirectorJoseph L. ScanlanStarsShanna ReedSarah ChalkeLochlyn MunroCheerleader Krista, takes action when she faces sexual intimidation from football players at her high school. This is another great movie about sexual assault, abuse and the power of using leverage because of social standing within the town. It has action at every turn and the situations really get you charged up ready for the characters to enact justice!
- DirectorChuck BowmanStarsLynda CarterJessica BowmanScott FoleyA promiscuous girl is raped by a fellow student. One of my top 5 favorites! I think the cast does an amazing job and especially Jessica Bowman in one of her starring roles right after Dr. Quinn. The story keeps you wondering how far her choices will spiral and how she'll convey that she's telling the truth to a community who doesn't believe her. It also allows you to understand her reasoning every time you re-watch. I love the supporting characters and I think you'll find some of the people who care for her in this film very charming.
- DirectorDick LowryStarsMeredith BaxterStephen CollinsMichelle JohnsonBetty torments her husband with childish vandalism and verbal threats after he leaves her for another woman, but nobody anticipates what ends up happening as the games escalate. This is just an all out wild one from go to woe. Meredith Baxter is relentlessly mental as she creates a series of hellish scenarios for the people around her. You can't figure out whether you'd do something similar, or if she's so mad you can't help but just laugh. It is shockingly eventful, with her always plotting what she'll do next. You won't be able to take your eyes off it!
- DirectorGeorge KaczenderStarsDelta BurkeBeth BroderickGarwin SanfordA pregnant doctor's life is made hell by the deranged patient to whom she gave a hysterectomy, without the patient's consent.I find this to be another really underrated movie. Delta Burke is just absolutely perfect for this role and she will have you in awe of how crazy she is when she fails to get what she wants. In a series of hilarious and mounting outbursts, it eventually comes to a head. But the ride you go through is nothing short of crazy!
- DirectorSandor SternStarsTiffani ThiessenEric CloseLorrie MorganThere's a rapist plaguing a neighborhood. Now a young newlywed suspects that her new husband may be the one doing this.Another in my top 5 Lifetimes, this movie is SO well acted and SO believable that it will have you looking over your shoulder and questioning anyone you've ever dated or will date. Tiffani Thiessen and Eric Close ( who I think are great people in real life as well) do STUNNING jobs in their roles. Probably one of the most horrifying marriages to find yourself in, Tiffani's character is truly smart and makes all the right plays towards getting herself out without impending harm. The movie is a thriller from start to finish and thankfully the ending brings a very real-life worthy solution. * It is rather creepy and deals with serial rape*
- DirectorJames A. ContnerStarsMichele GreeneWilliam R. MosesLynda CarterA sleazy dentist sexually assaults his patients while they are under heavy sedatives after he performs dental surgery on them. One woman gets impregnated from such an incident and decides to fight back. The dentist denies the rape allegations claiming they had an affair. The woman's marriage and life fall apart trying to prove she was raped.Engaging from start to end, hoping they'll nab the total creep who does these things. The acting is great, story is original and there are several different things to focus on as the characters have issues within themselves.
- DirectorTom McLoughlinStarsAlexa PenaVegaLisa VidalLeah PipesA teenager is bullied by her former friends when they discover that she has a crush on the same boy as the most popular girl in school does.I rated this one a little lower ONLY because I didn't think the set and location fit with this film. Otherwise, it is a really great story of mean girls in school and how they're mean for literally no reason at all. I believe it can really help older girls process what they went through in their school years and likewise, younger girls who have yet to experience it, to process that they did nothing wrong. I also think it could help some cope with bullying without taking drastic measures, having learned from the main characters mistakes. Alexa Vega does a wonderful job, as always.
- DirectorMichael FeiferStarsMichael WelchHaylie DuffPreeti DesaiA newly engaged couple becomes intrigued by the young stranger who moves in next door. He's handsome, friendly and very helpful, but he's no stranger.I just love Haylie Duff; she does an excellent job in this role and her portrayal is VERY believable. The acting by everyone makes this tale of a stalker by unlikely circumstances come full circle, but not without a lot of drama and creepy encounters first. I only docked a point or two because the lavish house they live in and jobs they have aren't as believable as in Lifetime movies of old.
- DirectorDouglas JacksonStarsBarbara NivenPerry KingSusan BlakelyA disturbed new neighbor fixates on another woman's husband.Barbara Niven is absolutely BONKERS in this and though many would have made this cheesy, she makes it REAL. She'll stop at nothing to get the object of her affections and it's a really fast paced story that takes place in a group of people you wouldn't expect. Highly underrated, in my opinion.
- DirectorVijay SarinStarsAnnabeth GishJessica LowndesGrant GustinA seductive teenage girl becomes vindictive when her boyfriend tries to end the relationship. This is another one of those guilty pleasures, some of it is just so bad that it must be considered good. The main actress will have you ready to pull your hair out as her series of manipulations have everybody all jumbled up and putting themselves at risk to make her happy.
- DirectorPaul SchneiderStarsJohn RitterMarg HelgenbergerMegan GallagherA woman believes that her seemingly all-American ex-husband murdered an earlier wife of his, and she is desperate to prove it.A little slow at the start, things do indeed begin happening and you're very curious about the connection. THEN, it ends up being something completely different than what you were thinking; something very horrifying in an unusual way. John Ritter at his creepiest, I think you'll agree that it is well acted and jarring all around.
- DirectorDoug CampbellStarsKelcie StranahanAmy PietzKatrina NormanA mother and her 18-year-old daughter move to suburbia to help recover from a traumatic home invasion, but a sinister shadow seems to be stalking them.Though recent and slightly unbelievable at times, you still can't look away. It has twists and turns that you highly don't expect and the lead is a very good actress who has naturally pretty looks; more than that, she does what you would want her to do in these situations, making her easy to root for.
- DirectorDoug CampbellStarsJosie DavisKelcie StranahanCameron Deane StewartA high school senior becomes the victim of an elaborate frame-up after learning that her boyfriend is sleeping with their teacher.Yikes! This is another that I loooove to not like. It's a little cringey, but the way the male lead plays into the situations really fuels the drama and you start to find unlikely allies as you watch. It becomes much more about the Teacher's internal battles that make her such a lunatic, but it's a train wreck you won't want to look away from!
- DirectorNadeem SoumahStarsHaylie DuffMike FaiolaTeri PoloJulia, a troubled woman seeking a fresh start, becomes convinced that her demons have moved with her to Los Angeles. This is another one about more of an internal struggle that is easily dismissed by everyone, but when abnormal things start happening that are very real, those around her are hesitant to believe her because of her mental history. It's a little far fetched at the end, but it still held my attention nonetheless. Haylie Duff again does the role well, and nails the portrayal of a woman with some severe paranoia.
- DirectorTimothy BondStarsAlexandra PaulJ.C. MacKenzieCorey SevierA preacher's wife falls for a young man, and then she finds out nothing was how it seemed.Alexandra Paul really gets herself into a pickle in this one, and there are so many unexpected turns.
- DirectorPaul SchneiderStarsAlexandra PaulShannon LawsonGary HudsonA woman moves to a gated community following a violent home invasion, but encounters sinister problems with her new neighbor.A really creepy tale of a Mother and Daughter dealing with a neighbor who is clearly off her rocker, but acts as if she's an adolescent at the same time. The different accidents will have you shocked at her capabilities and wondering how they'll prove what's going on!
- DirectorAlan MetzgerStarsGary ColeNicholle TomMac DavisIn Tate, Oklahoma a popular coach, Pete Nash, is accused of having a sexual relation with 14 years old Amy, one of his school's pupils. This one is just a weird one, meaning it's very cringe throughout and sometimes hard to watch because of the student and much older teacher affair. You are wanting the lead to come to her senses and learn herself and why she'd be needing this kind of attention the whole time. Good acting by all involved, especially Gary Cole.
- DirectorGail HarveyStarsLinda HamiltonRob StewartBrenda CrichlowAfter a well-to-do woman divorces her cheating husband, she ends up homeless through a series of mishaps. This is one that's completely unrelated to the themes of my other movies listed but it's in my top 5 made for TV movies. It's truly such a heartwarming tale about how a woman who is scorned, turns her world upside down in the best of ways, by just having faith and pushing onward. It's a rags to riches holiday movie that keeps you very appreciative of what you have and teaches you to value the smaller things and to cherish your newfound friends and family.
