Welcome word for DCAB webpage 2019-2024
Welcome to the website of the European Parliament's Delegation to the Caribbean-EU Parliamentary Assembly.
The Caribbean-EU Parliamentary Assembly has been established following the coming into force of the Samoa Agreement in 2023. This agreement is the largest overarching framework in the world to unite peoples and states from Africa, the Caribbean, the Pacific (ACP) and the European Union.
Together with our counterparts from the Caribbean region, we will work hand in hand in a spirit of mutual respect and open dialogue. As lawmakers, we monitor the executives' actions, and policies needed to address the most pressing global challenges of our time: climate change, digitalisation and connectivity, inclusive sustainable economic growth, international financial architecture, health resilience, security, human rights and democracy. I am committed to ensure that our action as elected Members of this Joint Assembly will be guided by a common vision, shared values and a sense of responsibility towards future generations.
