England women's Under-17s got their EURO 2025 qualifying campaign off to a fantastic start as they beat Faroe Islands 7-0 at St George's Park.

Jessica Anderson was the hero, scoring a hat-trick as the Young Lionesses ran riot in the second half of the game.

They had the lead after just 14 minutes when Lois Shooter gave them the lead but were held for the remainder of the half.

But it was after the break that the goals started flowing, with Anderson on target in both the 56th and 58th minute to leave the Young Lionesses 3-0 up.

Eva Hendle added a fourth on 68 minutes before Isabel Hebard got in on the act to make it five four minutes later.

Chloe Sarwie converted to make it six after 78 minutes before Anderson completed her hat-trick in stoppage time.

The thumping result puts England in a strong position ahead of games against Czechia and the Netherlands on Thursday and Sunday respectively.
