Are you ready for Call of Duty on the go? The incredibly popular shooter is making its way to mobile, and you can register to be the first to play right now.

Call of Duty: Mobile is a new free-to-play mobile shooter from Activision and Tencent to make sure you can get your CoD fix no matter where you are.

You'll be able to play a bunch of different maps and modes on your phone, progressing and unlocking new weapons and characters from the Black Ops and Modern Warfare series.

The game will be available to download on both Android and iOS devices and you can play against other players online from across the world.

Activision launched a sign-up website today where you can pre-register your interest in playing. Once you sign up, you'll get the latest news and updates, as well as instant access to the public beta, which is coming some time in the summer for selected regions.

We have no idea when the beta will launch, but we'd like to hope it's sooner rather than later.

The website says fan-favourite maps like NukeTown, Crash and Hijacked will all be available to play.

The game will work much like the console/PC version, where you unlock different weapons, kill-streaks and skins while playing. The better you do, the more you unlock.

The trailer above promises absolute mayhem on your mobile, and it all looks pretty crisp too, with the graphics holding up nicely.

At the end of the video, there's also what looks like a sneaky little tease for Call of Duty: Blackout, with the Battle Royale signature helicopters flashing before the screen goes black.

Could we be getting a BR mode on CoD: Mobile as well? That isn't out of the realms of possibility, given the current love for Apex Legends and the continuing success of Fortnite.
