Nicole Kidman accused of LYING by fans over bizarre claim Tom Cruise divorce meme was from a MOVIE
Nicole Kidman has been accused of lying by fans after bizarrely claiming her viral 2001 Tom Cruise divorce celebration meme was a scene from a movie.
Kidman, 57, and Cruise, 62, were married from 1990-2001 - with a photographer capturing an iconic snap of Kidman raising her arms and screaming in elation as she left her attorney's office when her divorce was finalized in 2001.
Kidman has now denied it was a celebration , telling British GQ: 'That’s not true... That was not me. That was from a film. That wasn’t real life. I know that image!' - but did not specify which film she was shooting at the time.
However fans on social media have been doing detective work to track down the mystery film scene without success - and have now accused Kidman of lying about the iconic snap.
One fan wrote: 'nicole kidman straight up lying about that one picture post finalizing her divorce gets funnier every time.'
Another penned: 'ok I just did a deep dive on this and not only does she not specify which movie it was, none of her legions of fans even have a hypothesis as to which movie it could have been. so I feel comfortable concluding that she's lying and it really is a post-divorce paparazzi shot.'
