How was Brixton brewery created?

Brixton Brewery was founded in 2013 by two local couples who wanted to put Brixton on the map for great beer. They had met by chance in a local bar and bonded over their shared passion for beer and for the non-stop energy of the South London neighbourhood they all called home: Brixton! They agreed that every great neighbourhood deserves a great brewery; and so Brixton Brewery was born.

They’ve been brewing in this melting-pot part of south London ever since. Everything they do is supercharged with the buzz and electricity of this famous neighborhood and its welcoming openness to new people and ideas.

Brixton Brewery's ethos

Brixton are always looking for ways to do better for their team and the local area, and to further their mission to bring people everywhere a taste of Brixton. Their partnerships, the organisations and causes they support are wide-ranging and always growing.

What beers do they have?

Their beer is hand-crafted in small batches and is always unpasteurised and unfiltered for maximum flavour. They are known for combining the styles, tastes and quality ingredients of traditional British brewing (and local markets!) with those from much further afield. The resulting beers are bold and delicious, and always perfectly balanced for easy-drinking.

Fancy a pale ale?

This Pale Ale was brewed to celebrate the art deco arches of Reliance Arcade in Brixton where local cobblers and tailors still practice their crafts to this day. Using English Maris Otter barley provides this beer with a crisp and refereshing base to match the bright citrusy hop flavours in this fruity Pale Ale.
