 This week we bring you the third of our series of Proms curated in collaboration with four BBC national radio stations. Our penultimate Prom comes from 6 Music, and is presented by Mary Anne Hobbs. Foodies can enjoy a culinary journey with Rick Stein as he heads to Venice. And finally we continue to make a splash with our sporting coverage at the World Aquatic Championships in Russia.

 

Radio 1 in Ibiza – 20 Year Anniversary

BBC Radio 1 is back in Ibiza for the 20th time for its biggest ever dance party with Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Danny Howard. Acts include Calvin Harris, Rudimental and dozens more.

6 Music Prom

Mary Anne Hobbs of BBC Radio 6 Music presents an evening exploring the borderlands of classical music, with the pioneers of a new generation of musicians who draw on contemporary electronic influences. Piano and keyboard virtuoso Nils Frahm makes his Proms debut, as does atmospheric duo A Winged Victory for the Sullen, and together they create an exclusive centrepiece collaboration.

Rick Stein: From Venice to Istanbul

In this seven-part series Rick Stein cannot escape the culinary legacy of the legendary Byzantine Empire in the countries he is about to visit. In the opening episode Rick Stein embarks on a new gastronomic road trip from Venice to Istanbul and enjoys ‘John Dory Carlina’ – a dish linked to the island of Torcello deep in the heart of the Venetian lagoon.

Clangers Extra

Take a trip to the small blue planet to meet Tiny and Small and find out about all the other Clangers and their friends. Also learn to talk like a Clanger, make musical sounds and dance along to music.

Jo Brand at Grayson Perry

From being the edgiest stand-up on the 1980s comedy circuit to one of our most popular TV personalities, Jo Brand gets exclusive access to the latest exhibition of Grayson Perry's work at Turner Contemporary in Margate in this Private View film. Perry was also an outsider in the 80s, but today the transvestite potter is a celebrated artist, and Jo takes us on a personal tour around the artist's early pots, prints, tapestries and sculptures – sharing her admiration for his ability to turn outrageous social observation into beautiful works of art.

Sport

On Saturday we head back to the World Aquatics Championships in Russia for the diving and swimming heats, plus catch up on the Milk Cup and watch the Challenge Cup Forum. This weekend we also bring you coverage of RideLondon-Surrey 100, which sees more than 20,000 amateur riders take part. And finally watch the Ashes Roadshow on Wednesday as well as our continued extensive coverage of the World Aquatics Championships.
