This book was OK but a waste of a credit. If you're interested in the Targaryen story, the just get Fire & Blood. It is the same story as this book but with much more detail.

I tried to listen to this book but the main character complained too much about having to work, as if she was somehow above working. And too much hate for her employers just because they were her employers.

This book is just mostly excuses. If you're ashamed of being fat, just lose weight. Learn to stand up for yourself if you are being shamed unfairly. Learn to take constructive criticism regardless of the delivery.
Authors like this need to stop providing excuses for people to avoid taking responsibility and being accountable. This book was released in 2007 (print) and 2010 (audio), and it seems to have been one of the things that fueled the obesity acceptance movement that we are dealing with now. Health has been cast aside in favor of sparing people's feelings. We need new lessons from better role models for our women.
A man isn't rewarded because of his masculinity - he is rewarded for his achievements. Maybe his masculinity enabled him to be a high achiever but it could have also made him a criminal. The fact that he chose to use his masculinity positively should be recognized.
I would not recommend this book to anyone. Not worth the money nor the time.

Way too much preaching for my liking. Whatever advice was useful, was very basic. Any father worth two cents would know all of this. My guess is that this book was meant for fathers who grew up under a rock, behind a church.

After the introduction of Pyrre in previous books, the personality of this younger Pyrre was disappointing. I get that this was before she was cool but I was hoping for more when I bought the book. The narrator was OK but I would have preferred if she had given Pyrre the correct accent.
