I like it a lot. I'm glad I didn't get a more complicated e-reader. I don't have to go to a book store or library to get access to books. The advertisements aren't intrusive on my special offers version. I was worried about them bugging me, but they don't.

I had been trying to read on my old iPad, but it bothered my eyes (27yrs). I'm happy with the normal version, I don't need a light built into it.

Battery life is excellent, blowing my tablet and laptop out of the water for reading books. You get the most out of the battery when you turn on airplane mode and make the text as small as possible. Small text means fewer page turns, and fewer screen refreshings. I'd say with heavier use you'll probably want to top the battery off once a week to avoid it dying when you couldn't charge it, though you might get more out of it by doing what I mention above. I usually don't put a book down until I've finished it, so I've been putting the battery through its paces. I think I've read four books on it since I bought it. Including those four, I've read twelve books in the last two months.

Holding the reader for a long time is easy enough, though sometimes I really want to hold it with my right hand in landscape mode to be able to grab the thicker bezel. I prop it up on my chest or lap while I read. I hold in in a way that keeps my fingers from touching the screen. The screen is super touch sensitive. Fingerprints aren't bad at all. There's not going to be glare on the screen unless you purposely try to catch the light from a light source.

It bugs me a little that I have to hold the device left handed when I flip the page orientation to landscape. You don't get to pick the direction that the screen rotates. It would make a lot of sense to have a third option to flip the screen the other way as well. It's not that big of a deal, I primarily want to read from the kindle in portrait orientation anyway.

Sometimes when I shift my grip on the kindle in portrait mode (I'm right handed) I touch the on/off (sleep/wake) button. I haven't turned the kindle off accidentally yet though. it seems accidental button presses are somewhat unlikely.

The kindle fits in my pocket. I like bigger pockets on my pants. This may not be the best idea since I don't have a case to protect the screen, but I make sure nothing else is in my pocket.

I have been using it to read the Prime Reading titles available to me through my amazon subscription. I find it easier to browse for books on my laptop then send them to the kindle over wifi. I'm working my way through all the stuff I have available to me free first, but there's a lot of stuff I want to sub to Kindle unlimited for already. Looking forward to reading the second book for a couple of series soon.

Hope this helped, I wasn't sure if I was making a good choice buying one but I really like it.
