I stayed up all night. 9 hrs and this was still going strong on all settings. As you can see from my photo, this area is lit up like this with the hoto hanging from a line across and above the seats. I have no idea how long it would run, but it beat me.If a long running lamp is what you need when camping, then this is it, period.Just get it, it’s pretty unbelievable.

It is easy to see why HOTO wins design awards and I find I am slowly replacing all the gadgets in my house with HOTO (except my Makita 12v power tools!). This camplight is great for camping but heavy for backpacking, and most curiously the light is IP6 waterproof rated but the USB-C port is not covered and is situated on the top of the lantern by the hook area. So if hanging outdoors in the rain, water intrusion into the port is inevitable. But maybe the USB-C port itself is waterproof? That said I bought this to replace my dead emergency flashlight for home power outages and the candlelight mode provides 30 hours of light on one charge. The flickering and yellow light output in Candlelight mode also is very zen and calming. I think this lamp is ideal for that purpose, and the USB-C port’s waterproofing is a nonissue for this use. Hold out for a sale and it will be a beautiful edition to your home emergency kit or car camping kit. I have HOTO’s lite flashlight with built in carabiner which is great for camping as well and the usb port is hidden behind a metal enclosure. Also buying yet another HOTO flashlight variation for my glove box. Love HOTO’s wonderful quality and minimalist aesthetic in everything they make.

This is a great looking compact light that can work in a variety of ways; as a torch, as a lamp and as a Edison style warm light. It's well made with solid materials, great to see metal used on the body instead of metal looking plastic. It's rechargeable via USB which is convenient though I doubt the battery is replaceable so there will be a time when this becomes a nice looking paper weight. Until then though, it will be a neat camping essential for me.

There are a number of flaws however. As mentioned in other reviews, the USB port is full exposed so I'm curious to the waterproof rating. Assuming manufacturers can't fake their ratings, I assume this isn't an issue. It would be great to hear from HOTO directly about this just to clarify. The hook is useful but it is not a split style hook, so if you're wanting to hang this in a tent into a pre existing loop, you will need some kind go between carabiner to connect the two.

The biggest flaw however is there doesn't appear to be a way to lock the light to avoid accidentally switching it on during travel. This seems like such an obvious detail to miss. For that I have docked it two stars because at this price, it should have this kind of functionality.

Other than that, it's a great light and if the lack of a locking option doesn't bother you then this is well worth it.
