Kenya’s Ruto says anti-tax protests “highjacked by organised criminals”

Kenya’s President William Ruto says “legitimate” protests against proposed tax increases were infiltrated and hijacked by “organized criminals” and that security of the nation remains his priority. In his speech, he did not mention the legislation that set off the protests.
