REDDING, Calif. - A woman was arrested on identity theft, possession of stolen property and drug-related charges in Redding on Friday, police said.

At about 10:45 a.m., the Redding police bike team was patrolling the area of River Trail and Caldwell Park.

The bike team officers found a gray Volkswagen car in the parking lot of Caldwell Park.

The driver, Ruby Epperson, was contacted, and there was a strong smell of burnt marijuana coming from the car, police said. She admitted to smoking marijuana in the park.

Epperson also told the bike team that she had a meth bong in the car. The bike team then searched the car and found about 20 people’s identifying information, meth and drug paraphernalia.

Police said in 2007, Epperson was convicted of identity theft, and she was sentenced to four years in prison.
