Today we are celebrating the Hero Arts December Hero Studio Release with a fun and inspirational blog hop!! This month the Hero Studio Card Kit and Whole Studio have been REDUCED in price! I have a bunch of projects to share so let’s dive right on in but first let’s take a quick look at the Whole Studio!

My first few cards feature mainly the Card Kit. Staring off with this card featuring the You’re Souper stamps and dies as well as the Big Squishy Hugs Die Set from the Card Kit.

I stamped several images from the You’re Souper Stamp Set in INTENS-ified Black Ink and then Copic colored the images. The soup in the pot was stamped however with the wonderful layering stamps included in the set. I used Pale Tomato Core Ink for the soup base and Pumpkin Core Ink for the detail layer. I also used a layering stamp for the detail on the pot, which I stamped in Spicy Mustard.

The arms were created with the Big Squishy Hugs Die Set. I used cardstocks included in the kit (Alabaster, Carrot and Terra Cotta) and I simply cut the arms free from the rest of the panel and then adhered the sleeves. I finished the card with an A2 panel of Cinnamon and placed all the diecuts on top.

My next card shows the Big Squishy Hugs Die Set (Card Kit) used more how it was intended. However, I still had to but my little twist on the diecut by adding some images from the You’re Souper Stamp Set.

This time I used a couple different inks for the soup. I used Pumpkin Core Ink for the base and then Sand for the detail. I also used Butter Bar Core Ink for the pot. I also colored all the images with copic markers.

I die cut the arm panels out of Tuscan and Beeswax cardstocks (included in the Card Kit). I adhered those diecuts to my A2 card front and then tucked the images in between the arms.

My next two projects still feature the Card Kit but this time I wanted to create a little gift set. I made a dry soup mix and created a fun card and tag to accompany it. I plan on adding this soup mix to a basket filled with some other related goodies.

I again stamped and copic colored several images from the You’re Souper Stamp Set. I also created a few free standing arms with Big Squishy Hugs Die Set. For the splattered backgrounds I used the incredible Brown Acrylic Speckle.

To create the tag I used the Infinity Tag Dies and simply added my tag to my soup mix with some twine. Below are the instructions to create the soup mix as well as instructions for the recipient, which I added to the back of my tag.

Friendship Soup Mix:

Add ingredients to a 32 oz glass jar in the following order,

1. Onion
2. ½ cup split peas
3. Rice
4. ½ cup lentils
5. Beef granules
6. ½ cup split peas
7. Barley
8. ½ cup lentils
9. Italian seasoning
10. Bay Leaves
11. Finish off with the pasta.

Instructions for Friendship Soup (place on the back of the tag) 

You will need:

• 1lb grd turkey or beef, browned and drained
• 1 (14.5oz) can diced tomatoes
• 3 quarts water
• 2 cloves garlic, minced or ½ t. garlic powder
• 1 (15oz) can tomato sauce
• Salt & pepper, to taste

Carefully remove the pasta form the jar and set aside. In a large stock pot pour the remaining soup mix as well as the browned meat, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, water and garlic. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Cover with a lid and simmer for 50 to 60 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaves from soup and add pasta. Cook for an additional 8-10 minutes or until the pasta is tender. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Optional: Add 2 T. red wine vinegar for an extra kick.

I finished my card with a half panel of Terra Cotta cardstock and adhering all my diecuts to my card front.

Hello friends!! The November Hero Arts Hero Studio Release is here!! This one is for all you book lovers out there, and oh boy it does not disappoint!!! Let’s start off by taking a closer look at the November Card Kit of the Month.

My first card features the Happy Place Die Set from the November Card Kit.

To create this card I first die cut all the parts to create the reader’s hands, forehead and hair out of Acorn and Truffle ColorWheel cardstocks. I then ink-blended the hair to add more depth with Espresso Core Ink. Next I die cut all the parts for the book out of Alabaster, Carrot, Terra Cotta, Peridot, Beeswax and Saffron cardstocks and then assembled the book. Next I die cut all the parts for the sweater out of Coral and Bellini cardstocks. I then ink-blended the bottom of the sweater in Pink Grapefruit Core Ink and then die cut a bunch of flowers out of white and Tuscan cardstocks. I then adhered the flowers to the sweater and then adhered all the rest of my reader together.

For the background I used the November Layering Stencils of the Month, On the Shelf. I ink-blended each stencil layer in with Core Inks (Green Apple, Paradise, Cotton Candy and Papaya) over the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. I then adhered my reader onto the front and lastly I finished with a white heat-embossing sentiment from the November Stamp & Cut, One Page at a Time on Waterfall cardstock.

My next card features the November Stamp & Cut of the Month and the Cling of the Month.

To create this card I first stamped an image from the November Stamp & Cut (One Page at a Time) in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto white cardstock. I then copic colored the image in and then die cut it out with the coordinating dies. Next I stamped an A2 panel of Coral cardstock in Papaya Core Ink with the November Cling of the Month, Checkerboard. I then trimmed down some Saffron cardstock to create a strip about 3/4″ & 5 1/2″ long. I then scored the strip at about 1/4″ and adhered it to the checkered panel.

Next, I die cut an oval window in the panel with the Nesting Oval Infinity Dies. I then used a corner rounder to round the upper and lower right corners of the panel and the card base. Next I die cut an oval window in an A2 side-folding white card base. I then adhered an A2 panel of acetate to the backside of the checkered panel. Next, I sprinkled some gold glitter onto the acetate and then adhered a second acetate panel to the backside of the checkered panel to sandwich the glitter between the two acetate panels. I then adhered the panel to the card front and the die cut several matching overs to the backside of the colored image to give it dimension and then adhered the image to the card front.

Next. I created a bookmark with the Whole Studio Bonus Item dies (Do Not Disturb) out of Waterfall cardstock. I then die cut the bottom of the die cut with the smallest circle die from the Nesting Circles Infinity Die Set and then added a reinforcer created with a die from the Tag Infinity Die Set cut from Seaside cardstock. I then created my own tassel out of twine, tied it to the book mark and then adhered it to the inside of the card. Next. I rounded the upper and lower right corners of an A2 panel of Seaside cardstock and adhered that to inside of the card to cover up the lower portion of the bookmark.

Hello crafty friends!! The Hero Arts October Hero Studio release is now LIVE and I think you guys are going to LOVE this month’s theme. Let’s start things off right by taking a look at all that’s included in the Card Kit.

October Card Kit:

• 10 Sheets of Cardstock – 1 of each color, 5.5″ x 8.5″ (Poppy, Dahlia, Tutu, Blush, Alabaster, Beeswax, Tuscan, Fern, Seaside, Waterfall)
• 2 Sheets of Gold Matte Paper, 5.5″ x 8.5″ 

My first card features the fun Deck the Halls with Disco Balls stamp set and coordinating dies from the October Card Kit.

To create this card I first stamped and gold heat-embossed (included in kit) the outline image for the disco ball three times, one “H” and three ornament toppers. I then stamped in the three layers for each one of the disco balls in several Hero Arts Inks (Red: Fruit Punch, Taffy & Cotton Candy; Yellow: Butter Bar, Spicy Mustard & Fawn; Teal: Arctic, Paradise & Bermuda). Next I stamp the “H” in Bermuda and Fruit Punch inks and then die cut all my images out.

I then trimmed down a sheet of Seaside cardstock (included in kit) to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and adhered it to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. Next. I adhered the toppers to the disco balls and then finished the card by adhering all the diecuts to my card front with foam adhesive.

My next card also features the October Card Kit, but this time I focused on the Have a Ball Die Set.

To create this card I first die cut the disco ball and topper out of the Matte Gold cardstock included in the kit. I then die cut the layers for the bow out of Tutu and Poppy cardstocks (included in the kit). Next, I adhered the bow together and then adhered the topper and bow to the disco ball. I then cut a then strip from the Matte Gold cardstock to create the string for the disco ball to hang from.

Next trimmed down some Waterfall cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and adhered it to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. I then adhered the string and disco ball to the card front. Next, I stamped and gold heat-embossed a sentiment from the Deck the Halls with Disco Balls stamp set. I then die cut the sentiment out and then adhered it to the card front. Lastly, I finished the card with some starbursts die cut out of Seaside cardstock.

Hello friends! It’s release day at Hero Arts!! The July Hero Studio is now LIVE and I can’t wait to share with you all the wonderful new products and my projects. Let’s start things off right by taking a closer look at the July Card Kit of the Month.

July Card Kit:

• Mirror Paper, 1 sheet – 5.5″ x 8.5″

My first card features the Card Kit, specifically the On the Road HeroScape stamp set and coordinating dies.

To create this card I first stamped the sky in Mist Core Ink. I then stamped the three ground and mountain layers in Sand, Caramel and Cup O’ Joe Core Inks. Next, I stamped the road in Charcoal Core Ink and then I stamped the cacti and bushes in Moss and Field Greens Core Inks.

I then stamped the street sign in black ink. I then used a white gel pen to color in the sign. I then die cut the scene out with the coordinating dies and adhered it to the front of a white top-folding card base. I trimmed off the excess and then stamped the sun in Dandelion and Butter Bar Core Inks. I then die cut the sun out with the coordinating dies and then adhered it to the card front with foam adhesive. Lastly I finished the card by stamping a sentiment in INTENS-ified Black Ink, die cutting it out with the coordinating die and then adhering it to the card front with foam adhesive.

My next card also features the Card Kit but this time I combine the On the Road HeroScape with the Let’s Go Die Set.

To create this card I first stamped the landscape onto the front of an A2 top-folding white card base, starting with the sky in Arctic and Paradise Core Inks. I then stamped the mountains and ground in Peony, Papaya and Pink Grapefruit Core Inks. I then stamped the road in Charcoal and INTENS-ified Black Ink.

Once I finished the landscape I then die cut all parts I needed for the car out of Sicily, Coral, Peridot, Anchor, Raven and mirrored silver cardstocks. I then assembled the card and then die cut out the people and their clothing out of Alabaster, Fawn, Seaside, Waterfall and Carrot cardstocks. I then assembled the arms and legs and then adhered them to the car interior. Next, I adhered the car to the card front and then trimmed off the excess. Lastly I finished the card by stamping a sentiment in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto the card front.

My next card features the adorable Mix Tape Die Set which is July’s Die Set of the Month.

To create this card I first die cut all the elements I needed to create two cassette tapes out of Raven, Sicily, Coral, Bellini, Blue Spruce, Beeswax, Saffron, Carrot, White, Anchor and Acorn cardstocks. After I die cut all the elements I then colored the tape with a copic marker to heighten the realism of the folds and twists of the tape and to add depth. I then adhered all the cassette layers together.

Next, I trimmed down some Alabaster cardstock to 3.75″ x 5″ and then adhered the panel onto the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. I then finished the card by adhering the cassettes and sentiment to the card front with foam adhesive.

My next card features the July Stamp & Cut of the Month, the Sending Big Hugs Stamp & Cut.

To create this card I first stamped the landscape with the On the Road Stamp set from the July Card Kit. I stamped the scene in Arctic, Paradise, Peony, Papaya, Pink Grapefruit, Charcoal, Green Apple, Butter Bar and INTENS-ified Black inks. I then die cut the scene out with a die from the Rounded Rectangles Infinity Die Set. I the die cut a mat layer with the next largest die from the Rounded Rectangles Infinity Die Set out of Teal Topaz cardstock. I then adhered the two layers together, adhered an A2 panel of Waterfall cardstock to the front of an A2 card base and then adhered the landscape.

Next, I stamped the “Big Hugs” in INTENS-ified Black Ink, Arctic and Paradise Core Inks. I then die cut the sentiment out with the coordinating dies. I then stamped “sending” and my additional images in INTENS-ified Black Ink. I then colored the images in with alcohol markers and then die cut everything out with the coordinating dies. Lastly I finished the card by adhering the sentiments and images to the card front with foam adhesive.

My next card features the July Layering Stencils of the Month, Just Keep Going.

To create this card I ink-blended the first layer from the Just Keep Going Layering Stencils in Tangerine Core Ink over a 4″ x 5.25″ panel of Alabaster cardstock. I then ink-blended stencil #2 in Ultra Pink and then stencil #3 in Cotton Candy. Once I finished with first three layers I then positioned stencil #4 and applied Gold Hero Wax.

Once the panel had dried I then adhered the panel to an A2 panel of Orchid cardstock. I then adhered that panel to the front of an A2 top-folding card base.

My last card features the July Bonus Item, the Everything’s Pine Stamp & Cut, apart of the Whole Studio subscription bundle.

To create this card I first stamped the two air fresheners in Pine Core Ink onto Fern and Alabaster cardstocks. Next, I stamped the strings in Caramel Core Ink onto Fawn cardstock. I then die cut all the air fresheners and string out with the coordinating dies.

Next I trimmed down some Mint cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and adhered it to the front of an A2 top-folding card base. I then finished the card by adhering the diecuts to the card front with foam adhesive.

Hello friends!! The Hero Arts June Hero Studio release is here and I’m so excited to share the new Card Kit and all my projects with you all!! Let’s start off with the June Card Kit of the Month.

June Card Kit:

Kit Contents:

• Summer State of Mind Clear Stamp Set, 6″ x 8″
• Summer State of Mind Clear Coordinating Dies
• Beach Bag Die Set
• Sand Embossing Powder, 0.5 oz.
• 10 half sheets of colored cardstock (Fawn, Coral, Seaside, Waterfall & Blue Spuce)

The first couple of cards I have to share feature the Card Kit. Starting off with this card featuring the Summer State of Mind stamp set included in the kit. You can actually watch me create this card in this video.

To create the card I first stamped several images from the Summer State of Mind stamp in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto Luxe White Watercolor paper. I then watercolored the images in with several Hero Arts Reactive Inks (Root Beer, Blue Raspberry, Lemon Drop, Fruit Punch, Creamsicle, Taffy). After I watercolored all the images in I then die cut them out with the coordinating dies.

Next I applied some Hero Arts Embossing & Watermark Ink onto the surface of an A2 panel of Seaside cardstock (included in the kit). I then poured some of the Sand Embossing Powder included in the kit over the panel and then heat set with a heat tool. Next I trimmed down the panel to 4″ x 5.25″ and then adhered the panel onto the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. I then stamped a sentiment from the Summer State of Mind stamp set in black ink onto white cardstock. I then die cut the sentiment out and then finished the card by adhering the images and sentiment to the card front with foam adhesive.

My next card features the Beach Bag Die Set also included in the June Card Kit.

To create this card I first adhered an A2 panel of Seaside cardstock to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. I then trimmed down some Alabaster cardstock to 1.5″ x 4.25″ and then adhered it to the card front. Next I die cut all the parts for the beach bag out of colored cardstock (Alabaster, Fawn and Acorn). I then adhered the bag layers together and the handle layers together.

Next I die cut all the additional images out of colored cardstock (Seaside, Cascade, Fern, Raven, Anchor, Windy, Classic White, Beeswax, Saffron and Fawn). I then adhered the image layers together and then adhered the baguette, champagne and handles onto the bag. Next, I adhered the bag and the rest of the images onto the card front. I finished the card with a sentiment from the Summer State of Mind stamp set that I stamped in black ink and die cut out with the coordinating die.

My next card features the June Die Set of the Month, Summer Memories.

To create this card I first trimmed down some Fawn cardstock to create an A2 panel and adhered it to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. Next, I die cut all the parts to the camera out of colored cardstock (Fog, Classic White, Blue Spruce, Teal Topaz, Waterfall, Seaside, Anchor and Raven). I then adhered the camera parts together.

Next, I die cut all the parts for my two photos out of colored cardstock (Classic White, Coral, Sicily, Fawn, Seaside, Waterfall and Beeswax). I then adhered the photo layers together. Next, I adhered the camera and photos to the card front with foam adhesive. I then finished the card with a sentiment from the Summer State of Mind stamp set (June Card Kit) that I stamped in black ink, die cut out with the coordinating die and then adhered to the card front with foam adhesive.

My next card features the wonderful June Cling of the Month, Coastal Stripe.

To create this card I first stamped the front of an A2 top-folding white card base with the June Cling of the Month in Field Greens Core Ink. I then stamped several images from the Summer Stamp of Mind stamp set (June Card Kit) in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto Luxe White Watercolor paper. I then watercolored the images in with Reactive Inks. Once I finished coloring the images in I then die cut them out with the coordinating dies and then adhere the diecuts to the card front with foam adhesive. Lastly I finished the card with a sentiment from the Summer State of Mind stamp set that I stamped in black ink, die cut out with the coordinating die and adhered to the card front with foam adhesive.

My next card features the incredible June Stamp & Cut of the Month, Seashells.

To create this card I first trimmed down some Fawn cardstock to create an A2 panel. I then applied the Hero Arts Embossing & Watercolor Ink over the upper two-thirds of the panel, poured the Sand Embossing Powder (June Card Kit) over and then heat set. I then adhered the panel to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base.

Next I stamped the base layer for each one of the shells in a combo of Hero Arts Core Inks (Peony + Cotton Candy, Papaya + Pumpkin, Dandelion + Spicy Mustard, Paradise + Bermuda, and Dusty Blue + Stone Wash). I used the partial inking technique to create a subtle gradation with each ink combo. Once I finished stamping the base layer for each shell I then stamped the detail layer on top (Azalea, Pumpkin, Spicy Mustard, Bermuda and Stone Wash). I then die cut all the shells out with the coordinating dies and then adhered the shells to the card front with foam adhesive. Lastly I finished the card by stamping a sentiment in black ink, die-cutting out with the coordinating die and then adhering to the card front with foam adhesive.

My next card features the beautiful June Layering Stencils of the Month, Hydrangea.

To create this card I first ink-blended the first stencil from the June Layering Stencil of the Month in Cornflower and Indigo Core Inks over the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. I then positioned stencil 2 and then ink-blended with Indigo Core Ink. Next, I positioned stencil 3 and ink-blended with Moss and Pine Core Inks. I then positioned stencil 4 and ink-blended with Forever Green and Pitch Black Core Inks.

I then stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from this month’s Bonus Item, Hiya Stamp & Cut Set onto black cardstock. I then die cut the sentiment out with the coordinating die and then finished the card by adhering the sentiment to the card front with foam adhesive.

My last card features the Hiya Stamp & Cut Set which is the June Whole Studio subscriber Bonus Item.

To create this card first sprayed a panel of Luxe White Watercolor paper with Hero Arts Blue + Shimmer, Green + Shimmer and Bright Yellow + Copper Metallic Sprays. Once the panel was dry I then trimmed the panel down to 3.25″ x 4.5″ and then adhered the panel to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base.

I then stamped “FRIEND” from the Hiya Stamp & Cut set in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto white cardstock. I then die cut the sentiment out with the coordinating die. Next, I stamped and white heat embossed a sub-sentiment on black cardstock. I then die cut the sentiment out with the coordinating die and then adhered both sentiments to the card front with foam adhesive. Lastly, I finished the card by adding some Pewter Hero Pearls accents.

Hello friends!! The new Hero Studio is HERE!! This month’s release is so beautiful and springy with a wonderful Flower Shoppe theme!! I have a bunch of cards to share but before I dive into it let’s take a quick look at all that’s included in the May Card Kit.

May Hero Studio Card Kit:

• BoHo Bouquet Stencil Frame Cut
• 18 Sheets of Cardstock (2 of each color), 5.5″ x 8.5″ (Rainforest, Blue Spruce, Waterfall, Seaside, Cascade, Mulberry, Dahlia, Carrot, Beeswax)

My first card features the pretty Vintage Blooms stamp and die as well as the BoHo Bouquet Layering Stencils and die from the May Card Kit.

To create this card I first stamped the can, sentiment and bees in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto white cardstock. I then stamped a sentiment, a flower and some flourishes onto the can also in INTENS-ified Black Ink. I then heat set the ink and then copic colored the can and flower in with copic markers. Once I finished coloring the images I then die cut them and the sentiment out with the coordinating dies.

Next I created the flowers with the BoHo Bouquet Layering Stencils. I use Cotton Candy Core Ink for stencil 1, Ultra Pink and Azalea Core Inks for stencil 2, Moss and Pine Core Inks for stencil 3, and Azalea and Pine Core Inks for stencil 4. Once I finished ink blending the flowers I then die cut the bouquet out with the BoHo Bouquet Stencil Frame Cut. I then adhered the flowers to the can and then set them aside.

Next, I trimmed down some Waterfall cardstock down to 4″ x 5.25″. I then adhered the panel to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. Next I adhered the flowers to the card front with foam adhesive and then finished the card by adhering the bees and sentiment with foam adhesive.

My next card also features the May Card Kit. This card however features the Flower Delivery Truck Die Set.

To create this card I first die cut all the parts to create the truck out of the cardstocks included in the card kit but with a few additional shades of Spellbinders cardstocks (Teal Topaz, Fog, Anchor and Raven). After I had die cut all the truck parts out I then assembled the truck, all except for the truck door. I then stamped a sentiment as well as some flourishes from the Vintage Blooms stamp set onto the truck door in Bermuda Core Ink. I then adhered the door to the rest of the truck.

Next, I die cut several flowers, leaves and pots out of the included cardstocks as well as a few other Spellbinders cardstocks (Fern, Cinnamon, and Acorn). I then assembled four pots with flowers and set them aside.

Next, I trimmed down some of the Seaside cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″. I then trimmed down the several of the included cardstocks to create 1/4″ stripes. Next I adhered the strips to the panel and then cut off any overhang. I then adhered the panel to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. Lastly I finished the card by adhering the truck and flowers to the card front with foam adhesive.

My next card features the May Die Set of the Month called Village Florist.

To create this card I first die cut all the parts of the shop out of several Hero Arts cardstocks (Pesto, Kiwi, Arctic, Woodland & Charcoal). Once I finished die-cutting all the parts out I then adhered the shop together.

Next, I die cut all the parts to create the pots of flowers out of Hero Arts colored cardstock (Passion Flower, Coral, Ultra Pink, Meadow, Shamrock, Bermuda, Sand, Cup O’ Joe, Woodland, Granite & Charcoal). I then adhered all the flowers and pots together.

Next I trimmed down some Cascade cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and then adhered the panel to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. I then adhered the shop and flowers to the card front. Lastly I finished the card by stamping a sentiment from the May Card Kit in INTENS-ified Black Ink. I then die cut the sentiment out with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card front with foam adhesive.

My last card features the May Stamp & Cut of the Month called Flowers Bloom.

To create this card first stamped several flowers from the stamp set in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto white cardstock. I then heat set the ink and then copic colored all the images in. Once I finished coloring all the images I then die cut the flowers out with the coordinating dies.

Next, I trimmed down some Tuscan cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″. I then adhered the panel to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base.

Next, I adhered the flowers to the card front with foam adhesive. Lastly I finished the card by stamping a sentiment onto the card front with in INTENS-ified Black Ink.
