Programme/Education Pre Conference

Revision as of 10:26, 6 July 2015 by Brackenheim (talk | contribs) (tp)

Calling educators, education policymakers, instructional technologists, students, librarians, and anyone else interested in the intersections between Wikimedia projects and education: You're invited to join the Wikimania Education Pre-Conference, which will take place on Wednesday, July 15 and Thursday, July 16 of 2015 in the Hilton Hotel Reforma, Mexico City, Mexico.

The Education Pre-Conference is an event held prior to Wikimania, the largest annual gathering in the wiki world. It provides a space to share experiences, take part in workshops and learn about tools and resources to start using Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects as a pedagogical tool in an academic setting.

We would love to hear from you about how Wikipedia can contribute to education. Whether you are a beginner to the Wikimedia world or whether you already use Wikipedia in the classroom, we would love to have you participate. There will be opportunities for everyone to start, grow or improve their use of Wikipedia in the classroom.

Attendance is free, but registration is closed.

Registration for Wikimania is not needed to attend the Wikimania Education Pre-Conference. The Pre-Conference is separate from the main conference and so is the registration.
