Web Pop is dedicated to helping your website stand out.
More than ever before, people are looking for what they need online.
The services they need, the places they eat, the people they meet – all being discovered or investigated through a quick Google (ever Googled for a service “near me” or the name of someone you want to know more about?).
Businesses and corporations that lack an online presence are being left behind.
They are completely ignored as customers discover their more tech-savvy competitors.
Or worse – they are portrayed as incompetent through the negative reviews left by their most disgruntled customers and malicious competition.
Whether we like it or not, we are being judged by the impression we give when people find us online (just like you’re judging us while reading this 😉️).
Web Pop helps businesses create an online presence they can be proud of.
When people search on Google for the services or products you offer, you want to appear front and center and make a positive impression.
This involves creating a website that doesn’t just look good – but one that actually shows up when people Google the products and services you offer.
For example, a New York lawyer might want to show up for terms like “lawyer near me” or “lawyer in New York”. This is much harder (and significantly more lucrative) than just making a good looking website.
(if you’ve ever tossed together a website with a “website builder” like Wix or Weebly, you’ll know that having a website isn’t enough. If people can’t find it, does it even exist?).
Web Pop runs the gamut of making an outstanding online experience.
Making a good looking website, getting people to your website (i.e. marketing), getting your website to load quickly, and keeping your website secure (getting hacked sucks).
Web Pop has a slight bias toward search engine marketing (i.e. showing up on search engines like Google).
About
I’m Jake, the founder of Web Pop.

I graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Master’s of Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
After working as an engineer and consultant for a bunch of big companies, I left to pursue a career in SEO (Search Engine Optimization), web development, and software.
What is SEO? Here is Wikipedia’s definition:
SEO considers how search engines work, the computer-programmed algorithms that dictate search engine behavior, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines, and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience.
SEO is performed because a website will receive more visitors from a search engine when websites rank higher in the search engine results page.
These visitors can then potentially be converted into customers.
I also enjoy coding—primarily web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript & PHP) and Python, especially anything related to generative AI.
