I’m Jake, the founder of Web Pop.

I graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Master’s of Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

After working as an engineer and consultant for a bunch of big companies, I left to pursue a career in SEO (Search Engine Optimization), web development, and software.

What is SEO? Here is Wikipedia’s definition:

SEO considers how search engines work, the computer-programmed algorithms that dictate search engine behavior, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines, and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience.

SEO is performed because a website will receive more visitors from a search engine when websites rank higher in the search engine results page.

These visitors can then potentially be converted into customers.

I also enjoy coding—primarily web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript & PHP) and Python, especially anything related to generative AI.
