Keep the tape measure parallel to the floor for an accurate measurement. BUST Measure the fullest part of your bust using a fabric tape measure. The tape should be straight and parallel with the floor. WAIST While measuring your waist, keep the fabric tape measure parallel to the floor. Do not hold your breath, pull your stomach in, or draw the tape measure too tight.
