Unique self portraits art

I started this portrait as a class demonstration, in order to let the students understand the color in a colouered light source condition. As for this portrait, it made more complex and fun with it's light source from the bottom and the texture on the mordel. Within this self-portrait, I am exploring the complexity of my seemingly simple thoughts or daydreams. I am contrasting my outer, bored expression with the chaotic, whimsical doodles in the background that symbolize my daydreams. This goes to show that even when I look unengaged on the outside, my brain is thinking a surplus of thoughts and ideas. Description Second self portrait I've done since going to college. The first one I did was 2 years ago, freshman year and I can safely say that this one turned out way better. I'm really proud of it.
