As part of my freelance I was given the opportunity to design two pirate ships, a normal one and a ghost one as well as four levels of weapons.

These are several pirate ship designs that I created for an unreleased game entitled "Unearned Bounty" The main design challenge that "Unearned Bounty" presented was establishing the pushed cartoony style of the game. I wanted to achieve a whimsical shape language while maintaining a structural feel in the ships and architecture. Knowing that the game would later be created in 3d, it was very important to create shapes and surfaces that could realistically be achieved in a 3d environment…
