I think it's safe to say that the deadlift is probably the king of all exercises. Now you could argue squats and honestly you could argue push-ups and pull-ups too but nonetheless deadlifts are one of the most beneficial exercises there is. It works nearly your entire body especially the often neglected posterior chain and is one of the most transferable and functional exercises there is. Not to mention its strength and muscle building potential is unparalleled.
