Lucknow: Elaborating on the importance of effective communication as a key skill for success in public life, chief minister
Yogi Adityanath flagged off the team representing Uttar Pradesh at the 28th Yuva Utsav-2025, scheduled from Jan 10-12 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
"Effective communication is essential for any politician to succeed. Without mastering this art, one cannot excel in leadership roles," the CM said.
Calling to replace traditional student unions with youth parliaments in universities and colleges, the CM said that such roles would help in fostering leadership qualities and compassion for society.
He said that for individuals in any field to ensure meaningful progress, be it politics, administration, law enforcement, agriculture, or entrepreneurship, one must embody nationalism, love for the motherland, and compassion for people.
Highlighting the significance of Jan 12, the CM said that it was the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and drew a connection between the day and its symbolic connection to youth energy and India's cultural and spiritual heritage.
"With Swami Vivekananda as an inspiration, Yuva Utsav celebrates youth power and allows participants to explore and learn about the nation's diversity. The festival, held annually in Delhi, will feature programmes where youth can engage with leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and defence minister Rajnath Singh," he added.
He further encouraged the students to envision the kind of India they wish to see during the centenary celebrations of Independence, which is 22-23 years from now, and to contribute meaningfully to the efforts that will shape the nation's future.
The CM also highlighted that the 63 youth from UP representing the state at the National Youth Festival would be the ambassadors of its development journey and rich cultural heritage.
