Little brother thinks he's ready for them both as well, but he'll just have to wait.

Family Trip: Oregon Coast
In July we had a wonderful trip to the beautiful and much cooler Oregon Coast. The cousins had a wonderful time playing together, we saw some great things (Battle Rock, the fire house, a farmer's market and fish hatchery, and other places in subsequent posts), and of course Grandma and Grandpa loved being with the grandkids!
Fishing at Leonard and Dorothy's
Our dear friends across the lake from Grandma and Grandpa's let us come over to "fish" with the kids. I should add now that many of the pictures taken while in Oregon are used with permission by our two up-and-coming photographers. Thanks girls!
Coos County Fair
It really couldn't have been a more beautiful day for a county fair! Here are some shots from the adventures there. The only complaint I had is that they didn't have any funnel cakes there. How do you hold a county fair without funnel cakes?
So they're obviously faking, but this was the last photo taken at the end of a long and fun day at the fair!
The Family "Tree" Pictures
Years ago while visiting the Oregon Coast for the first time, we started the tradition of taking pictures here whenever we went to Shore Acres. I think this is the biggest group of us there together to date. Someday hopefully we'll get the whole crew there!
The "Pose-off!"
I think it was Uncle Tay-Tay's idea, but regardless of who thought of it, everyone got involved in this fun activity in the rose garden at Shore Acres. Being that this is one of Grandma B's favorite places, I couldn't help but feel that she was there laughing with us. : )
