You’ll be joining a close-knit team of 15 staff members, including 5 English teachers and 10 local Myanmar staff. Our school caters to the enthusiastic and emerging middle class in Myanmar, with a dynamic environment that inspires both adults and children to learn. We’re looking for educators who: - Are creative in the classroom and enjoy new challenges - Are committed to making a difference in education - Have at least six months of teaching experience Position Details: Start Date: October 19, 2024, through approximately March 1, 2025 (Final date TBC) Salary: 2.5– 3.3 million Kyat per month, plus accommodation (equivalent to USD 500 – USD 600 per month, with free apartment Hours: 20-25 hours of teaching per week (in-class and potentially online) Benefits: Flight stipend provided, and visa costs reimbursed Requirements: A degree is not required, but TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification is essential Experience teaching young learners through to adults is preferred but not mandatory We’ll only contact short-listed candidates for interviews, but we are more than happy to share more about the country and the experience of living and teaching in Myanmar before applying. Xplore September Highlights: Building Connections, Exploring New Opportunities, and Teaching Abroad! Thailand Placement Meetup: A day at Dreamworld Amusement Park brought our teachers together for thrilling rides, a scavenger hunt, and a group dinner with over 40 alumni. Barcelona Orientation: Our August 26th group immersed themselves in Spanish culture—flamenco classes, city tours, tapas feasts, and more! The atmosphere inside and outside of the classroom is amazing. The language school is looking for someone that is creative in the classroom, likes new challenges, is committed to education, and has at least six months of teaching experience. DETAILS **Start mid-July. 6 month contract possible but 12 month contract preferred** **Salary is 2.2 – 3 million Kyat per month plus accommodation (apartment).
