With Override, along with the leaders of other planets, leaving on a new space bridge project she needed someone to lead Velocitron in her absence, so a Speedia 500 was held to see who would be the new leader. By quickly turning a sharp edge faster than Dirt Boss could, Hot Shot won the race (even with his new, bulkier, less maneuverable body) and was thus chosen to lead, though he thought he was just racing. Dirt Boss blamed his tires for his loss, saying if he had changed them first he would have won. Ransack and Crumplezone finished the race saying it was always pretty boys like Hot Shot who win. Ransack was apparently trying to impress Thunderblast, but she wasn't interested. Beginning

Velocitron's capital city Delta held the racetrack dedicated to the Speedia, the great celebration-race which decided the most prominent citizens, and, on some occasions, even the political leaders of the planet. Traditionally, the race was reserved for four-wheelers, with the two-wheeled Ransack being controversially entered as an experiment. In the race that followed, Ransack just came second to Override, with the two subsequently becoming co-rulers of the planet. Exiles

The Speedia 500 was the race that determined the leader of Velocitron's Senate. In the era prior to the Great War, Blurr had won the race but ceded his duties as leader to Road Rocket. Believing that this presented the opportunity to lead only to the fastest, the terrorist group Mayhem hijacked the Wreckers' feed to demand that the race be dismantled and power returned to the proletariat, threatening violence if their demands were not met. Answering the threat, Thunderclash entered himself, Ricochet, Hot Shot and Aileron into the race to keep an optic on the situation. Tread & Circuits Part 1

Mingling with the crowd, the Wreckers searched for a potential Mayhem mole before Circuit was injured. After Minerva had stabilized him, the race began. Tread & Circuits Part 2

As soon as the race began, the Wreckers were forced to contend with Mayhem's agents attacking the racers and sabotaging the track, jamming the evacuation order. As the Wreckers continued to fight off the terrorists, SpecOps intervened and arrested both parties. In the far pole position, Knock Out crossed the finish line, becoming the new First Senator and winning the planet for the Decepticons. Tread & Circuits Part 3
