Annual Review

Blogging has definitely become a yearly routine for Tanner and I. -feeling ashamed.
Well here is our update for what changes have happened in our lives for 2013....

Tanner graduated with his Masters in Accounting. At his graduation, I was a proud wife- clapping and yelling. He and is currently employed at a CPA firm. He is bringing home the bacon and I am eating it. Tanner also passed 1 of 4 CPA exams. YAY! (We just found out today and he passed it with flying colors.) He has been studying all the time, but obviously worth it.

I have been currently organizing, cleaning, and making improvements to our humble home which is something that I've wanted to do for years now. I have made some big changes in my life. I taught 4th grade for 3 years--one of my lifelong dreams. Check. With that said, I resigned this year due to not tolerating the politics of public schools and the amount of stress "they" put on teachers. Now it's time for me to take over the world, a much easier task. :)

Be back soon.

This and That!

I'm totally digging this stage in my life right now! I am in love with the vintage teal color that's on my blog, painted on my toes, my shoe color and in my house. Which reminds me that my goal for this summer was to completely clean, organize and decorate my house. Well I only have a month left and its not looking to good.

By the way "We're Back!" Not that anyone blogs anymore and everyone now is on Facebook and we have all lost touch. Since I finally took the time to remember my email and password for our blog I have to tell you what we are up to:
Tanner is working part time for a CPA and is going to graduate school to become a Master at Wizardry. (Accounting).
I am trying to do a million things this summer and nothing is completed that I really wanted finished (house). I make extra money working at a daycare at my school. I am a wedding planner for a reception this month. I also am a self-made therapist to my brother who had a stroke a year ago. On the other hand, I am starting my 3rd year teaching 4th graders in August.

Tanner and I do have hobbies we do together other than watch movies. Tanner and I have been doing the Insanity workout together and have 2 weeks left until we have completed the 60 days! We also have a goal to continue our workouts to be fit for a 5k we will run in October for a member of our church who has Leukemia. This will be our fourth 5k we have completed. This is a big accomplishment for me because I hate sweating and do not like to exercise.

Anyways more to come....

Highlights of 2010

Highlights of 2010
  • Tanner got a job making lots of money.
  • Autumn got a job as a 4th grade teacher with 29 kids making no money.
  • Shade (their dog) grew up and is a big dog now.
  • Tanner and Autumn bought a house!
  • Tanner and Autumn surprised Tanner's family for Thanksgiving. They're sneaky!
  • Tanner and Autumn celebrated another year together (6 years total).
  • Tanner and Autumn went to Hawaii.

Pictures to come when Autumn can claim her life back.... when school stops controlling her and consuming all of her extra time. (She's a little bitter)

He is okay!

Last Tuesday, my heart skipped a beat when I received a text from Tanner that said:

I just got in a car accident...hit and run. Don't worry I'm fine.

Well even though he said he was fine I was still calling him frantically. This is what happened. He was driving on the interstate in the right lane. A lady in the left lane decided she needed to exit at the last minute. The exit was a split interstate exit. She slammed on her breaks and swerved over behind Tanner and clipped the back of our jeep fender. Luckily, Tanner did not lose control and spin out because he could have flipped off the bridge. The lady of course kept going but Tanner and other eyewitnesses reported her to the police. That night and every night since I have thanked Heavenly Father for Tanner's safety especially in this incident. I am extremely grateful for my relationship with Heavenly Father and the Savior throughout my life. I just wanted to share with you another example of their hand in our lives.
