Portfolio
You can download my narrative CV, a list of talks and interviews I’ve given, a selection of narrative and in-game writing samples (more provided upon request) and my UI Portfolio. If you would like to contact me, please email [email protected]. For a quick overview of my work, see selected projects below:

Elemental Flow (In progress, as Tea-Powered Games)
Tea-Powered Games’ second project. Jacarandá, a place of fiery arguments and clashing views on what truly constitutes Progress, begins to fray at the seams. Embody Clara as she figures out what to do after graduation, how to reconnect with her best friend, and deal with her newfound elemental powers. Only by disentangling the knots in her own life can she help to unravel those of her kindred spirits, and her home of Jacarandá.
Dive into inner worlds shaped by people’s minds and personalities, and explore Clara’s own multi-faceted identity through rich dialogue and active conversation encounters, giving narrative and strategic depth to the story’s personal and emotional stakes. Immerse yourself in a magical Solarpunk setting of self-sustaining but interconnected commonships, and the people responsible for making it work – or fall apart.
Wishlist Elemental Flow on Steam, or learn more about it here.

Horror Stories: Harvest Hunt (freelance writing for Villainous Games)
Harvest Hunt is a first-person stealth horror game based on dark European folklore. I created the lore and characters for the game, as well as writing game content, from ability descriptions to unlockable stories.

Dialogue: A Writer’s Story (as Tea-Powered Games)
Dialogue follows Lucille, a writer working on her second novel, with game mechanics focusing on different representations of conversation. I was the sole writer for Tea-Powered Games, creating Dialogue’s script as well as character biographies and excerpts from Lucille’s novel found in-game, as well as most menu and tutorial text. Since the conversations played out mechanically, I worked with the designer to create fluid, interesting conversation systems, rather than just adding words to a pre-existing system. In addition, I designed and created User Interface assets and additional art assets.
Click here to find out in more detail how conversations in Dialogue were structured, or get the game from Steam and Itch.

Elegos (freelance writing for Perpetual Games)
An action RPG where players take on the role of Alexander the Great’s Strategos, in a version of Ancient Greece where magical Mytha live alongside humans. I designed its narrative systems, including linear and branching story deployment, NPC chatter zones and quest structures, as well as writing the game’s dialogue.

Tau Station (freelance writing for All Around the World)
Tau Station is a text-based Massive Multiplayer Online Browser Game (MMOBG) set in a vibrant far future universe, where players uncover the secrets of the Catastrophe one personal story at a time. I wrote missions (story quest content), created star stations including areas and NPCs, and worked with other writers to edit and review each other’s work. My stories centred around queer and marginalised identities in the future, hacktivism, deconstructions of capitalism and artificial sentience. You can play Tau Station for free here.

Dish Life (freelance writing for Pocket-Sized Hands)
Dish Life follows the life of a stem cell researcher, with players furthering their scientific careers as they take care of their stem cell lab. It shows the real-world struggles and challenges that stem cell researchers face, and lets players make choices about how their work develops. I was the lead writer for Dish Life, available on Steam. I created scenarios and player choices that showcase what it’s really like to work in a biological research lab – something I have a lot of experience with from my research days!

TeachQuest (freelance writer)
This game aims to show STEM students the realities of teaching in modern UK school systems. I’m creating the game’s story (including self-contained storylines for students and teachers), as well as randomly deployed teaching and personal life scenarios, which highlight the struggles and joys of being a Newly Qualified Teacher.
Restless (freelance UI design for Spirit AI)
“You’ve been haunting old Mrs Fagles for decades. Now she’s sold the house, and the new owner’s moved in. Sylvie’s broke, bad at plumbing, and anxious about everything. And with a living, breathing, fretting roommate, how are you supposed to rest in peace? Drink blood. Set fires. Tell lies. Give advice, loan out a wedding dress, reclaim your true name. Remix your dialogue options to reflect your mood or dig deeper into the topics that interest you.”
I designed the User Interface system for Restless, as well as creating all art assets.

Co-organiser for the Oxford and London Interactive Fiction Group
& Videogames chair for the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain
Since 2018, I’ve been helping run the monthly Oxford and London Interactive Fiction group. We find talks and tutorials that the interactive fiction community are interested in, and host them at the London South Bank University campus (or remotely).
Since 2021, I’ve been a member of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Videogames committee, helping run events, awards and raise awareness of game unionisation. As of 2024, I also act as Videogames chair.

Short, Personal Games on Itch.io
I have released a number of small (15min-2 hour), free games on my itch.io page. These have been a chance to work with different engines, from Unity to Gamemaker to Twine, as well as create smaller projects and go through the release process. They deal with a range of subjects, from fantasy tropes and feline evolutionary trees to recurring nightmares, asexuality and family relationships.

Whether as a freelancer or half of Tea-Powered Games, I’ve partnered with studios and companies at various stages of development. If you’re interested in working together, please get in touch!
