Name:SJ.
Website:Witchling in Flight

since feeling is first
who pays any attention
to the syntax of things
will never wholly kiss you;
wholly to be a fool
while Spring is in the world

my blood approves,
and kisses are a better fate
than wisdom
lady i swear by all flowers. Don't cry
—the best gesture of my brain is less than
your eyelids' flutter which says

we are for each other: then
laugh, leaning back in my arms
for life's not a paragraph

And death i think is no parenthesis

—E.E. Cummings

In my senior year of high school my English teacher held a unit on poetry. This changed my life forever.

Hi! I'm a generally happy-go-lucky, optimistic adult who loves to make new friends online. I still can't believe there aren't tests you have to take to qualify as a Grown Up™ and am frequently stumbling around, trying to figure out how to be an adult instead of a teenager. I love to read: lots of literary books, fantasy, sci-fi, mysteries, humor. I also like to read in German, because that's been my main academic passion for the last few years. I do a lot of needlework crafts, my focus being on knitting, but I sometimes branch into crochet or sewing or cross-stitch, and because of those crafts I've developed an interest in clothing in general. I can't seem to stop writing, whether it's a paper for class (which I don't have anymore :() or some kind of opinion or research piece. Now that I don't have the academic outlet for writing, I'm writing here about my daily life a lot more.

As for that, I try to keep most of my writings here vague enough not to warrant access-lock so that newcomers can get some kind of sense of where my interests lay at the time. If I talk about specific places or people in my life, I will access-lock a post to protect everyone's privacy. In addition, I will access-lock sensitive topics such as health updates and my fledgling spirituality. Because of that, I tend to subscribe to someone before I grant them access, unless it's a mutual subscribe/access.

My interest in television and movies is waning while my interest in books is waxing, so I'm likely to ignore journals that only talk about the TV the poster is into. I also don't pay attention to celebrities or popular music and don't have anything to say on those subjects.

My anime/manga list.

It is absolutely always friending amnesty day, and I reserve the right to not give notice of unsubscribing/taking away access.
