Get an Apple Music student subscription
If you’re a verified student enrolled in a degree-granting university, you can subscribe to Apple Music at a discounted monthly rate for up to 48 months. Find out how to get a student subscription. And how to re-verify your student status to continue your student subscription.
How to qualify for an Apple Music student subscription
You must be a student studying a foundation degree, bachelor’s degree, post-graduate degree or equivalent higher education course at a university or college.

Make sure you know your Apple Account email address or phone number and password.
You need a valid payment method added to your Apple Account.
Make sure you know your student ID and can access your student email to verify your student status.
How to get a student subscription to Apple Music
If you’re currently subscribed to Apple Music, find out how to change your subscription plan. If you’re a new subscriber, follow the steps below.
Open the Apple Music app on your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Android.
Go to Home.
Choose the trial offer.*
Choose Student.
Choose Verify Eligibility.
Follow the onscreen steps to verify your student status.
After your student status has been verified, follow the onscreen steps to start a free trial and purchase a student subscription with your Apple Account.
Access Apple TV+ with your Apple Music student subscription
For a limited time, you also get access to Apple TV+ at no extra cost. Once you start your Apple Music student subscription, just open the Apple TV app and start watching Apple Originals. Your Apple TV+ access is attached to your Apple Music student subscription, so you won’t see a separate subscription. You can’t share this Apple TV+ access with Family Sharing.
How to re-verify your student status
Once a year, you will receive an email when you need to reverify your student subscription. You can reverify your student status in the Apple Music app on your Mac or PC. You can also re-verify in Settings on your iPhone or iPad.

Open the Apple Music app.
Choose Verify Eligibility or Verify Student Status. Need help?
Follow the onscreen steps to verify your student status.
If the verification is successful, you’ll automatically return to the Apple Music app and continue your Apple Music student subscription.
Re-verify your student status in Settings on your iPhone or iPad
Go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions.
Tap Apple Music.
Tap Verify Student Status. Need help?
Follow the onscreen steps to verify that you’re a student.
If the verification is successful, you’ll see a confirmation screen.

If you need help with UNiDAYS or SheerID
If you’re a new subscriber and see a message in the Apple Music app that your review is in progress, you can tap Get Help at the bottom of that screen to contact SheerID.
If your student verification process was through UNiDAYS, contact UNiDAYS Support.
If you don’t re-verify your student status
If you’re still a student and don’t re-verify your student status during the verification period, your student subscription will renew automatically as an Apple Music individual subscription. If you want the discounted student subscription, you’ll need to resubscribe as a student and go through the verification process.
If you’re no longer a student or you complete 48 months of a student subscription
Your student subscription will renew automatically as an Apple Music individual subscription. If you’re prompted to verify your student status in the Apple Music app, choose I’m No Longer A Student.
*To get the trial offer, you need to be a new subscriber. One trial per person.
