Swish Payment Terms

Swish is a single-use Payment Method used in Sweden. Your acceptance and use of Swish via the Stripe Payments Services is subject to these Payment Method Terms, which supplement the Stripe Services Agreement with respect to your acceptance and use of Swish: 

  • You must display the Swish logo on your website and/or app. 
  • For a Swish transaction to be validly executed, the name of your business should be shown to the customer during payment. 
  • You should know your customer’s name and mobile number. 
  • Your website must include: 
    • a. Contact information (phone number and/or email address) 
    • b. Description of goods/services, including prices, taxes, and fees 
    • c. Applicable warranties 
    • d. Return and complaint procedures 
    • e. Delivery times and logistics 
    • f. Payment terms 
  • In addition to the above requirements, your customer must be able to identify the following: 
    • a. Description and price of the ordered goods/services 
    • b. Total price, including taxes, duties, shipping, and other fees 
    • c. Confirmation that payment is made via Swish e-Commerce in SEK (Swedish Krona) 
    • d. Expected delivery date 
    • e. Delivery terms, including return costs and complaint procedures 
    • f. Recipient's name for the goods or services 
    • g. The relevant procedures for refunds 
  • You must cooperate with Stripe and relevant third parties involved in the transaction rail in order to prevent and investigate suspected criminal activities involving Swish. 
  • You must report suspected criminal activities to Stripe and provide relevant documents and information as permitted by data protection laws. 
  • You agree not to treat Swish in any unfavourable manner with regards to other payment methods (e.g. addition of surcharges). 
  • You agree that you shall not be involved in unsolicited distance selling activities, like cold calling. 
  • You acknowledge that Stripe and any relevant third parties involved in the transaction rail have the right to freeze, block, or reject transactions to prevent unauthorized or unlawful activities, based on internal risk assessments and regulatory obligations.

Factoring Addendum

The following terms shall apply to all Swish transactions which take place under the factoring model. Check the developer documentation and if it specifies that “The factoring addendum in the Swish terms applies”, the following terms shall apply to you in addition to those set out above:

  • You acknowledge and agree that Stripe acquires the underlying claim for payment with respect to such transactions from you.
  • Stripe is solely responsible for the settlement of any amounts arising from payments collected from your customers in accordance with the Stripe Services Agreement.
  • Your customers can only extinguish their payment obligation for Swish transactions by making payment to Stripe.
  • You are responsible for making it clear to your customers that any payment for Swish transactions is owed to Stripe.
