Liquefied Natural Gas production and use is rising rapidly.

Between now and 2022, it is estimated there will be 132 billion cubic meters of LNG production capacity added globally – that’s 5% more than the total annual gas demand of Japan.

However, in the short term this may lead to a potential rebalancing of the market, where supply could exceed demand.

MHI’s latest market insight, Agile Solutions for LNG by 2024, shows how LNG owners and operators investing in production facilities today will need to future-proof their facilities to be prepared for periods of oversupply. The paper shows how this future-proofing will mean ensuring that liquefaction trains have three key qualities:

  • Efficiency
  • Flexibility
  • Reliability

Agile Solutions for LNG by 2024 also shows how the H-100 turbine can deliver these qualities in a variety of ways, giving a competitive edge to LNG owners and operators who are looking ahead in a crowded market and growing industry.
