Apache TinkerPop™ is a graph computing framework for both graph databases (OLTP) and graph analytic systems (OLAP). Gremlin is the graph traversal language of Apache TinkerPop. Every Gremlin traversal is composed of a sequence of (potentially nested) steps. A graph is a structure composed of vertices and edges. Rough performance testing shows that, on 2014 consumer hardware and an average disk, 134m quads in LevelDB is no problem and a multi-hop intersection query- films starring X and Y - takes ~150ms. Cayley is configured by default to run in memory (That's what backend memstore means).
