All I use. Keep up the good work.

I'm trying to leave matlab behind and go into a more serious language like python. Matplotlib adds features to python that make this change worth it. I am learning python because it is becoming the application embedded language of preference as well. Thank you very much to the developers of matplotlib.

Very cool program

I am very impressed with the control you have over the creation of your figures and on top of that the quality! Numpy+matplotlib is my replacement for MatLab. Together with ipython I call this next-gen stuff

produce publication quality figures with matplotlib. Have a look at http://matplotlib.sourceforge.net/gallery.html Simple things are simple, but there's no limit to how much you can customize the output - every aspect of any graph is adjustable - colors, spines, tickmarks, labels, subplots, annotations, TeX math, the list goes on and on.

Matplotlib is a great great tool for creating publication quality graphs which we have been using for long time replacing matlab.

Wonderful extension to numpy for visualization of data. Numpy to distill data and matplotilb to generate graphics.

using it for my daily work as a phd student in physics. really neat tool!
