It has been tested under Ubuntu 12.04 using an APC BACKUP ES700 and under FreeBSD 8.2 using an APC SmartUPS 1500 and apcupsd-3.14.10 and Webmin apcupsd-3.14.10 From the original authors website: "...This module administers the APC UPS monitoring package It is a wrapper around CGI programms included in apcupsd distribution. The Ubuntu distribution has instructions to install this under Ubuntu here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/apcupsd Under FreeBSD the instructions are: cd /usr/ports/sysutils/apcupsd make install cd /usr/ports/sysutils/webmin make install add webmin_enable="YES" to /etc/rc.conf cd /usr/local/lib/webmin ./setup.sh /usr/local/etc/rc.d/webmin start Now log into webmin from your browser, usually https://localhost:10000 Go to "Webmin->Webmin Configuration" from the left hand menu and click on "Webmin Modules" Click "Third party module from" and enter apcupsd0.812.wbm.gz then click on the install module button Click on "APC UPS Daemon" under "Other" from the left menu in Webmin. Adjust the package module configuration as follows: Configurable options for APC UPS Daemon Configuration file for apcupsd /usr/local/etc/apcupsd/apcupsd.conf Time interval for update screens (in sec) 60 Path to multimon.cgi /usr/local/etc/apcupsd/cgi/multimon.cgi Path to upsfstats.cgi /usr/local/etc/apcupsd/cgi/upsfstats.cgi Path to upsstats.cgi /usr/local/etc/apcupsd/cgi//upsstats.cgi Path to upsimage.cgi /usr/local/etc/apcupsd/cgi/upsimage.cgi Start apcupsd command /usr/local/etc/rc.d/apcupsd start Stop apcupsd command /usr/local/etc/rc.d/apcupsd stop Optionally: Go to the Webmin Configuration module. Click on the Trusted Referrers icon. Check the Trust links from unknown referrers box, and click Save.
