README for the file apcupsd-0.81-2.wbm.gz AKA apcupsd0.812.wbm.gz

This webmin package was written in 2001 by Eugene Borodin and posted
on http://www.bks.da.ru/webmin-modules/ It is licensed under the GPL in force in
2001. It is also available from http://diego.caravana.to/software/webmin-apc-ups-modules-mirror/

The module requires apcupsd to be installed. It has been tested under
Ubuntu 12.04 using an APC BACKUP ES700 and under FreeBSD 8.2 using an
APC SmartUPS 1500 and apcupsd-3.14.10 and Webmin apcupsd-3.14.10

From the original authors website:

"...This module administers the APC UPS monitoring package

It is a wrapper around CGI programms included in apcupsd distribution.

See also the README file.

This is FREE software, you can use it anyway..."

The Ubuntu distribution has instructions to install this under Ubuntu
here:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/apcupsd

Under FreeBSD the instructions are:

make install

add webmin_enable="YES" to /etc/rc.conf

cd /usr/local/lib/webmin
./setup.sh

/usr/local/etc/rc.d/webmin start

Now log into webmin from your browser, usually https://localhost:10000
