This ticket can be closed; the library_names are correct in graphite2 1.3.12.
Whatever the problem was back in 2013, it has been fixed by now. We are able to build graphite2 on every version of macOS from 10.4 to 10.14, with libc++ or (now that graphite2 requires C++11) libstdc++ from a newer version of gcc. This bug report can be closed.
With the segment caching code removed as of graphite2 1.3.12, this bug report can be closed.
