My bad, you're correct this is not PJB issue. Adding postgre libpq.dll fixed this. You should ask on the php mailing list. I think those libs require the appropriate backed(s) installed. Hi. They probably depend on other libraries which aren't installed. Please check the NEWS file of your version for the correct paths (they have been changed in the past). The file should contain a working mysql example. dl() should work in fcgi mode. Try to load the lib directly and check the php error log. |

Hello, I need to add extensions (.dll) files for my PHP application. I have followed the FAQ instructions on where to put the extensions. My .ini files are in the directory under WEB-INF\cgi\x86-windows\conf.d and my .dll files are under WEB-INF\cgi\x86-windows\ext. These are the instructions in various README files including the FAQ. Why aren't the extensions being loaded? Can someone please send me an example of a .war file that has .dll extensions loaded in the PHP application? I have yet to see one anywhere on the internet. Regards, David |

Hello, My app wants to support as many database as possible, so I use PDO. I've copied the pdo extensions to WEB-INF\cgi\x86-windows\ext. I've enabled PDO for MySQL, SQLite, & ODBC and it works fine. However when I tried to enable PDO for Postgre, I got error: "php_pdo_pgsql.dll - The specified module could not be found. in Unknown on line 0" The weird thing is that the file DOES exist, I've copied it to WEB-INF\cgi\x86-windows\ext directory. I also got similar error for Firebird PDO. Can someone please tell me why is this happening? I'm using PHP 5.4.3 on Windows. Tested on Tomcat 6.& Jetty. Thank you |

I was just telling my experience and where I was coming from (scared about all the hassles wrt Quercus), that' s why I was pleasantly surprised to hear of someone running Joomla from a J2EE server without major issues. Hi Do not confuse Quercus with PHP/Javabridge. Quercus attempts to compile the PHP code into Java binary code (Hence all the problems you have seen), while PHP/JavaBridge lets you run it "as is" under FastCgi Hermod -----Original Message----- From: php...@li... That is exciting news for me, as I kept reading about tweaks and errors wrt to running Joomla on top of Caucho.com's Quercus. See ie http://forum.caucho.com/showthread.php?t=28700 including others that talk about having to tweak session.php to make it work http://forum.caucho.com/showthread.php?t=1453 I then asked about running Joomla 1.7 on top of Quercus on the Quercus mailing list and got no reply. That wasn't very encouraging either. :) http://old.nabble.com/Joomla-1.7-on-Quercus---does-it-have-a-future--p32145514.html The encouraging news is that with the PHP-Java bridge one is actually running the real PHP, not a "separate, compatible php implementation written in Java". That should minimize problems. How does the auto-update feature of Joomla work, at least in your experience?. My idea is to run Joomla with a commercial News Site template (like iJoomla), on top of Caucho Resin. I'd like to avoid running Apache whenever possible, and instead use a pure-Java web server like Resin. Thanks for your positive report. If this works without major problems, this solution using php-java bridge should be promoted more!. I've seen lots of questions from users who want to run Joomla on a Java app server, or who ask "is there a Joomla version written in Java". Well, I think a J2EE server and Joomla's extensions and templates ecosystems is for now the best of both worlds... :) FC -- During times of Universal Deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act - George Orwell ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond. Hi I have been running Joomla 1.5/1.6/1.7/2.5 with PHP/JavaBridge om Tomcat (5.5, 6 and 7) without a hitch, and see no reason as to why you should not be able run it on any J2EE compliant Servlet Engine. I'm a bit knowledgeable about PHP (PHP3 :), and I'm a Java advocate (read that as: "maintained the OS/2 Java FAQ in 1996 back in the Java 1.0 days, believes Java is the right way to develop software, and runs several desktop Java apps daily on both Linux and Windows"). Having made that introduction... I've been trying to explore if running the latest greatest Joomla 2.5 CMS coded in PHP is possible under a Java web server. A lot of searching (and a lot of reading about tweaks and quirks when trying to use Joomla 1.5 over Quercus) led me finally to this php-java-bridge project. However, from a quick glimpse it seems this only works if one accepts heavily tweaking the source PHP code. So, my $1M dollar question would be: is this technology just for developers, or can I, after some initial configuration, finally run Joomla 2.5 "as is" under a J2EE server like Caucho's Resin, for instance?. Hi. Servlet spec days that you can't use a writer and the Outputstream at the same time. So your code must check if one is available and possibly use the other as a fallback. Please solve the conflict as usual. Either use your own OutputStreamWriter or grab the writer early and force the library to use its own. Can someone provide insight into importing a Java jar into a PHP application ? I am trying to instantiate an object I developed called SubscriberTrace which is packed in a Java jar. I have the ST.jar file located in the JavaBridge/java directory. I get the following error: javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.RuntimeException: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught [[o:Exception]:"java.lang.Exception: CreateInstance failed: new com.ctl.mplslab.iptv.SubscriberTrace. Also, I'm facing some problem as follows I've passed some hard-coded variables through filter rather than Servlet base and it's going OK, on other hand once I try send String variable its not. So, what is the main problem for this.
